This is definately one of the greatest bands!! I respect their honesty!! I have been an active addict for 23 years and let me tell you they sing it EXACTLY how it is!!!! I love this album and can listen to it over and over. thanks for putting this up here.
What's funny is I met Danny at the methadone Clinic years ago in Georgia. we kicked it for a minute and he told me about quitting drugs and the do's and donts. That dude helped me more than any rehab or done clinic and it didn't cost me a dime. I had no idea who he was at the time. years later when they came to Alabama for a tour he spotted ME up front in the crowd and gave me a shout out and invited me to kick it back stage after the show. we were at zydeco. It's a really small place so it wasn't like he saw me inn a sea of hundreds of people. dude has always got my respect. stay up everybody and keep pushing.
That sounds like the same guy I met at a show here in Seattle back in ‘06. Being a huge fan of their music, I was SUPER stoked when I found out that they were going to be playing at Hempfest that year. So I took a girl I was seeing that summer and one of her girlfriends to Hempfest and before Danny and the rest of the band left the stage they announced that they would be playing another show later that evening at a comparably smaller local indoor venue called “El Corazon”. Of course, the 3 of us decided to go and due to the relatively small crowd size I guess the guys from the band felt it was a chill enough environment to come down off the stage after their set and mingle with us fans a bit. Turned out that the girl I was seeing that summer made a good choice when she invited a girl friend to come along because Rehab’s guitarist at the time (Foz was his name) wanted to smash and took down her number before we all went home. An hour or two later she got a call from him inviting her and me and the chick I was with to all come down and kick it at their hotel for a while. That’s where I got to meet Danny... And he was 100% as cool as you described in your comment man. Chain smokin motherfucker though!! And one helluva beer drinkin fool man!! Awesome dude and SUPER down to earth though. All them guys were tbh. That entire day is definitely one of my best memories from my teenage years!!
@@waltrussell3627 GOOD FOR YOU, MAN!! Sincerely, I mean that, coming off that shit is a feat. Even if you've fallen off the wagon since then, no judgement, it's all part of the game. Hope this reply finds you well.
Miss you Jason.....so glad you're clean, whatever that means to you, but you are missed. Not the guy inhaling Scotchguard, but the lyrical genius, And the partner Danny couldn't find without you.....
Eloquently said there was a magic between the two of them with Danny providing the hooks and Jason being the lyrical genius he is there was something magical but it's like lightning in a bottle it doesn't last I was just glad to feel the warmth while it lasted!!
in my inbox from charlieandkinzi1... fucking love rehab, been to four of em,... can relate to every song...unfortunately this one to every line. 12 yrs into meth addiction now, get sober for six months (usually in jail), get drunk and high for a yr or so (usually till i get caught). nothin good about this fucking epidemic we call methamphetamine. do something witrh ur life. if u have no direction, u might get lost. i am. gonna go try to find myself, if i get back before i return...keep me here.

He opens up the car door & hes like 'rip my dick skin off?! What the fuck man.. (Hits the pot pipe) lmfao such a random simple memory but the part reminds me of that everytime! 😂😂
I was actually in my 4th rehab when I was introduced to rehab. Think I heard The Bartender song but no idea who the band was. Rehab was a great place to discover new music.
Ironically these dudes met in rehab (hence the name) Im also in rehab right now. I also wigged on on acid in Atlanta years ago and had to be tied to a stretcher. I ended up in Grady though instead of Emory. I also use to piss in floors and even earned the name Chris Piss. I also used to date this shard yard chick that constantly picked her scabs on speed. (Scabby whites) Fuck, this song was me before sobriety
aint just my neighbors that know im crazy lmaooooo....and fo the one says moderation....wtf is that...like i said stick the straw in da bag n do it all at one time....then im looking for that pebble n the carpet.....n high school annual...lmao heritage high c/o 93.....went to a friends hse...went to do the bump....i finished up on my own nose out tha pic....still clean now....
