Asmon actually "read" the story and not many other streamer know about the choice about the flaw in that dream. He actually remember about Misha we meet at start on game in "reality" hotel. The other streamer not giving attention to the story while Asmon here are actually read the story and understanding it. Big prop to you Asmon and that why you are the best streamer now for me.

Actually, pretty sure that phase 2 has a dmg limit before the cutscene and phase 3 until the first 8 day cycle finishes is also unkillable so he still would've been able to listen to it

It's pay to win, but in practice, you only pay to win agaisn't the grind.
Not paying simply means that you have to take the game more seriously because it's harder, it's more interesting that way tbh.
He's a good dude with a good brain and good tastes. Of course he'd enjoy HSR! I wouldn't say it's a "perfect" game, but the mechanics are solid and there are a lot of well-thought details to appreciate and enjoy.
The game is great enough to make more mainstream gamer who have to play a ton of game while create more contents like Asmon to visit and focus on clean the story for 6 hours straight.
HSR truly among the best turn base RPG of this era.

Yes because he literally played the whole of Penacony's story in the last 8-10 days, of course most stuff will stay fresh in his mind. A lot of other Honkai star rail content creaters played 2.0 months ago when it came out as well as 2.1 about 1 month ago. So of course people will forget details over that period of time.

I'm actually pretty impressed. He might sound like an asshole when he talks about some of the characters, but he definitely paid more attention to the story than probably 90% of the players. I think only a few people can correctly choose Misha at the end.
I think how BS re explain the event as some error too when she say « Acheron fighting Aventurine foiled his plan » but that was his whole plan Acheron « killing » him to prove you can die in a dream ?
@@Shiraion that is our meta perspective though. The memories she sees through the lightcone is from the MC's perspective, and he/she never saw the acheron aventurine cutscene.

Sometimes i find it a torture to see Asmong's opinions being so realistic and bringing real-life stereotypes into the game world. Robin and Sunday are idealist in different ways, Robins' disagreement is not being mad of people being happy, Penocany is totally different from the real-life entertainement. it is a place that every thing is material satisfaction and no worry existed. If there is a penocany in the real world, when all the pain and struggle irl has a place like this to evade, then when all the people choose to sleep to death, then the whole world forked up.
Penacony is an expensive tourist destination, "everyone" staying there literally can't happen. It's like Disneyland, except Sunday wants people to be able to move in there if they want to.
the people taht can seperate things from real world to this game are pathethic my opionion specialy those that say we dont want politic in our games but still doing there favor to remind you. Because its funny to say it but I guess most american on his channel are be like that brainrot.

none did anything wrong. the moment dream master uses sunday to force everyone outside penacony to succumb to dream, thats the issue, it should've stayed at penacony alone
As down bad for Sunday as I am I would agree if wasn't for the it happened out side of Penacony. A good guy with good intentions just the conclusion he came to. Also it won't stop me from putting all the blame on the dream master.
So, being a dictator who forces people to live the way he wants and doesn't allow them to have freedom of choice is something correct? Because basically that's what he tried to create, forcing everyone to follow.
Sunday did one thing wrong. Not ducking robin. 😎
but fr though. Ena of order was kinda based. Sunday trying to create a world isolated from the influence of the other aeons, where humans rule and live perfect lives unaffected by the unruly aeons was really justified. The problem only occured when Sunday became an emanator of order and would end up becoming the next aeon of order after absorbing Ena. Before Sunday though, Ena was a super chill aeon that helped a lot of other aeons and was the main reason for the end of the swarm disaster.
I like Sunday, and I do generally align with him. From the standpoint of a compassionate character, he's right.
Same goes for H****s in FF14, and M****i in Persona 5, other characters I felt were significantly more right than the protagonists.
Asia, however, is really big on the whole "No, suffering is what defines life!" mantra and, as such, the player protagonists will usually end up in direct opposition to the compassion motivated character's proffered "escape".
Honkai star rail is actually getting better than ever, to the point where even asmon takes Robin as his wife :)

Yeah, i don't understand how people were struggling against Sunday. You don't even need big damages, you just break his shield, and you're legit invincible from his big bang. This "final boss" was legit way easier than Aventurine (Pre-nerf).
My only struggle against Sunday was in Phase 2. Phase 1 and Phase 3 were easy, Phase 2 just knocked me on my ass a couple of times due to unfortunate RNG(the sleep thing hit my healer). Then I just ran with Huohuo instead of Fu Xuan.
if you have fu xuan/aventurine the fight is a joke. I had mc, acheron kafka and huohuo and the moment he entered his second phase he clapped half of my team.
@@akihui3846 i had the reverse problem, i got knocked when I used Fu Xuan but slapped his ass when I used Huohuo. Granted the Fu Xuan losses were just really shit RNG(he slept her just as her E was blinking, and so Acheron got KOd when it faded the next turn).

If you just don't build your characters in a game whose entire gameplay loop is building characters, you will struggle.
I dont think Robin is dumb, but she is very religious. In a world where the Aeons are literally just there its less naive to expect them to achieve the things she wants. However if Xipe is actually going to do anything at any point is to be seen...

Xipe probably doesnt even care, as long as the dreamscape continues on. Aeons are inherently selfish beings because they are the materialisation of their concept brought upon by a mortal being. They transcended mortality into becoming a conceptual being.

They really went all out with penacony. The story was so good. Looking forward to future patches
I went from like no hype to loving this place pretty early in 2.0 when hearing the Golden Hour BGM and such.
And overall they hit a home run with the 2.0-2.2 story arc. Excellent mood, the characters who aren't the dull lifeless brick called Acheron were all good.
I remember reading somewhere that the HSR director is a massive Persona fan and you can tell.
I think presentation is everything because at most I think the story and writing was ok but still suffer some heavy issues however the exploration, the voice acting, the visuals, the music and all the cinematics make it stand out above many others as oppose one still using old visual novel segments.
the freaking yap fiesta is a turn off to me, but if you get past it, it's good.

Harmony Trailblazer is top tier now with break effect teams. Great with Imaginary teams like Dan Hung IL or Dr. Ratio too. Can easily double or triple damage on broken enemies. Absolutely cracked!

Having even basic knowledge of HI3rd makes the story so much more enjoyable. Raiden Mei being her actual name, the reference to mei helping kiana while she was falling in both the "lament of the fallen" and "graduation trip" animated shorts, the entire story tracing the exact same path as project stigma in the finality arc.
Huh, this makes me want to maybe reinstall just to run through the story.
Finally quit during anniversary, sticking around due to FOMO, despite not really enjoying the story or events for several updates.
The opposite her part were the weakest. Purely for relying on Honkers fanbase knowledge.

I actually disagree, I think the story is far weaker because it relies on a shoehorn reference from a completely different universe that seems to have nothing to do with this one.
I find really cool to see how her character growth. She was a fragile insecure type of character at the beginning. Now shes that wise and mature woman we know. Basically like Raiden shogun too. Its really cool how they keep her transformation through different univers

Yes, that includes Asmongold. I can't believe how many people miss this. This is why Firefly specifically asks Sunday what HIS definition of a happy life is. To Ena, the Order? Well... the following is what it is.
If you check the Special Ending in Dreamjoy Memoir Chapter 5, it's really clear that the world Sunday/Gopher Wood/Order wants to create isn't just "making a really good dream they can't wake up from"- people's emotions and desires are altered and bent and removed until all that's left is a person who just exists and sings endless praise and glory to the Order. No want, no thought, no dreams, no desires, no will, no action, basically a state that's a twin to a "waking coma".

If you don’t know what a light cone is besides it’s hsr implied meaning, or it’s been explained but I skip all dialogue and play on mute so idk if it’s been explained in game. But irl light cones refer to ALL your possibilities of traversal and experiences mapped onto a 2d representation of space time, bare with me. This just means it shows how far you as an entity can possibly travel and all the other entities you can interact with on a piece of paper to simply it. If you saw the graph it makes sense cos it’s a 45* isometric square pattern with your light cone being defined within a 45* angle cos to surpass that on the 2d graph. irl you’d need to go faster than the speed of light which is impossible. Ok so on the graph with the squares your square is your light cone and all the possibilities of your life are CONTAINED within it, so how does hsr use this in an absurdly nerdy way to make them weapons and synergise with characters? Glad no one asked. Acherons light cone is her at a black hole in her ult form. That’s a light cone aka a possibility and essentially the light cone ONLY works on nihility because it’s acherons possible future and the abilities she would have in that possibility work SO WELL with her cos it’s her abilities but enhanced it’s just a possible her. This basically goes for every character and I’m aware the main reason is that they’re just weapons like in genshin the characters release with their weapon to enhance their kit just like hsr, but the entire light cone meaning comes from a theory of how to traverse universes and how your light cone and black hole interact, black swan was referring to what I explained in this yap in the conversation before she actually wakes you up so that’s another reason I put this here cos the writers are aware of it and I’m assuming this because of what it comes from because the theory specifically uses the event horizons of black and white holes to traverse universes, but it’s cool how they made light cones the weapons and it explains the “randomness” of what’s on them.
I love that he actually decided not to take Acheron, and went with Jing Yuan instead.

it may not be morally right, but if it's a choice, a lot of people would make it.
this type of story has been told several times and it always sounds condescending on the people that would actually choose the simulation.
@@raulmaltrain6893 I don't agree with Sunday not giving a choice/freedom to live in a dream, but he's not completely wrong. Imagine being sick where you live in pain all day, no cure and no money to treat the symptoms, I'd rather live in the "simulation".
Like that old guy we met with Robin and Sunday, yeah there may be improvement on medical tech, but if you only have a few years left to live why would you bank on this tech that may be painful to go through and possibly very expensive treatment when you can live peacefully in a dream? It's not like you're disconnected either since your family/friends can visit you in the dream.
Robin, Firefly, and the Trailblazer cast are not the right person to speak up against him. What kind of "weak" person have a stellaron, elemental powers and a mech suit capable of killing? They are literally the "fittest" in the hierarchy.
Anything inconvenient, like being on life support lol suffering isn't actually noble or virtuous, that's actual coping.
If people want to live in the matrix, let them live in the matrix. Saying they shouldn't gives me the impression your life has been super sheltered and you can't imagine why someone would opt out of suffering.

Sunday and Robin were both wrong, Sunday wanted pure escapism while Robin didn't want anything. Dreamland as a vacation resort/hospice for people on life-support is wonderful, but its the idea of people living in the dream without ever waking up and facing the real world that's the problem. Dreams have no substance, and while they can make people happy or give them motivation, they don't accomplish anything themselves. They are a goal to work towards or a reward for work done, not a lifestyle.

How is Sunday wrong? Plenty of people have nothing *to* live for, escapism is valid, not everyone will Trailblaze or have a mech suit or be a genius. A lot of people just want a happy and problem free life.
As long as visitors can leave Penacony if they want, which was the case before the express showed up, just let them do their thing.
