Dan again with some great stuff.
Amazing! I'm still waiting for Waves to try to re-earn my trust and my business. They have yet to lift a finger...
@Brayan Bermudez I'm actually quoting what they said in their apology letter. Waiting for them to do what they said they were going to do hardly implies the world revolves around me. Your comment was rude and ignorant. You should be embarrassed.
Hi HewittH, I too had a problem with Waves when the help-chat person said I could get a discount on a plugin but then couldn't. I wrote to them and they solved the problem. They have re-earned my trust. Also, I looked at your song you did on your channel - its fantastic! You are really are talented. Lovely song and great voice. I hope Waves can help you with your problem.
@@KhaziJKG are you aware of why some of us are unhappy with Waves as a company? If you are aware of it and unconcerned about how they may behave toward you as a customer in the future, then I'd say go ahead.
Great job, Waves!!! Been with you guys for decades. Be nice if there was a discount price for both instead of for one or the other. In post we've been struggling with room, ER and reverb forever, and this plug seems to tackle the task as easily as Clarity VX for noise does its task. While there *are* a scant few other plugs that claim to do this, they're not doing it as cleanly as what we're hearing here. And we're not hearing all the artifacts others are claiming are in there. Not saying there are *none*, just saying it's about as good as it possibly could get, short of a new recording location and a truck full of gobos.
I'm actually confused. I thought Waves was only doing a subscription model, but I see you can purchase this plugin and the rest as the old days
I think they thought about how they can make double the money because they know people hate subscriptions. Also people hate buying at full price so they’re like why don’t we just keep them both.
@@JonathanMartinez-qn2kt that's no different tna other companies who offer perpetual licenses or monthly subscriptions. There's nothing wrong with having both, and it's actually better because you can explore fully features with all the plugins and figure out what you want to own permeantly. I'm just saying I didn't see any announcements about the change back to the original pricing model along side the subscription model. I'm also starting to believe people were making it all up about subscription only. People just love joining in the noise when they "heard" something with our actually backing it up with facts
@@buckycore Waves announced the subscription-only model, but when many complained, they reversed it within a week. They sent out an apology to their customers and restored the old purchase platform. Now they have both the subscription and the outright purchase options.
A slight processing twang. But you can't complain for what you will be able to save
This is beautiful
Personally, I would have put a plaster base coat then a finish coat. You get a more solid finish over dot and dab plasterboard and it just feels better 😊
wow i love it 🔥🔥🔥
So are clarity vx and clarity vx dereverb different. I wanna buy one but I’m not sure.
It depends.
->Clarity Vx is for removing background noise, nothing else.
->Clarity Deverb removes reverb and room echo.
If you usually record in a quiet space, but an untreated room/studio-then deverb is the way to go.
But waves f*cked up so much trust, I don’t know if much people would buy it. There’s better alternatives from other companies.
@@jermainewells764They once removed their perpetual (permanent) licenses without warning. No email, no warning. And once forced everyone into subscription-only plan.
They turned back that decision afterwards though. But lost a lot of trust within the community.
DeRoom by Accentize > Deverb pro by waves. DeRoom has such a clean dry sound that doesn't sound processed.
Great software and I use this when traveling so I don't lose those VO jobs
I would have bought this in a second. Unfortunately, it's not available for Mac OS Mojave.
Just you "Hey", I'll buy it!!
Great job..... Love from India 🙏
Is this own to rent too?
Yea this is All good but how is it on cpu usage? The clarity plugin is a cpu hog
This plug-in sounds good, I wonder if it would work well with acoustic guitars & percussion? I think waves would make a dope dereverb plug-in for instruments
Awesome vst!!
Can this work live or only on recorded tracks?
There is latency involved in the process. It's recommended to use on recorded tracks.
I have a new MacBook Pro and Clarity just about crashes my computer. Causing DSP jumps and audio choppiness the whole time it’s on. I can’t use it! 🤬
Hi there, our tech support department is open 7 days a week and will be more than glad to assist. Please contact us directly: www.waves.com/contact-us
Advertising for ANY vocal and only presenting speach is kinda sus. To remove reverb from longer constant-loudness audio like most vocals in music is probably way harder and i very much suspect this plugin doesnt do well in that regard...
it actually comes with a network specifically trained for that. i tried it out and it was bonkers
Hey Moritz, we highly recommend trying it out for yourself :) We offer a 7-day free trial for any of our plugins so you can test it out and fully evaluate the product: www.waves.com/vx-dereverb
@@wavesquestion, can you use the Reverb in conjunction with the plugin that removes background noise?
anyone know how to open it? I paid for it and installed it but don't know how to use it. I was hoping for a exe. but got a ICO, how do I use Clarity Vx DeReverb?
Hi there, please note that Clarity Vx DeReverb has no standalone application and must be opened within one of our supported hosts:
www.waves.com/support/tech-specs/supported-hosts

@@waves can't use it anyway. My cpu is not gen 6 or above.. so I am going to ask for a refund. Sad and very disappointed with this product 😞
Waves: The best in the business
I really enjoy the original Clarity VX plugin but hearing the DeReverb plugin in action doesn't do much for me. In my opinion, I think that the artifacts are more distracting than the original reverb recordings. Maybe in a mix of other sounds, it could be useful but standalone I would prefer it's naturally wet.
My thought exactly. I think the original recordings with reverberation are less distracting than the artifacts of this plugin. For now, DeReverberate 3 from AconDigital still remains the king of De-reverberation.
🔥🔥🔥
Looking good.... let's try it than I will comment again...
Yeah well what about de-eq for the room lol
Lots of artefacts.
Use DeRoom by Accentize, its way better and doesn't give you that weird processed sound.
Clarity FFT Frogs. If you ask me, too much artifacts and the tail smoothing is needed on the $29 version to be useful.
Going with a subscription model is literally the best thing you all have ever did. I will happily give you my money and have been for a very long time no. Please, keep progressing with Ai Neural technology for audio restoration. This is so helpful to me in my cinematography and audio engineering!
*The curse of rooms with hard walls.*
The cost of a plug-in or outboard hardware is exponentially cheaper than foaming a room yourself, let alone hiring someone.
I haven't tried this. But from the video... SPL de verb sounds better.
In audio processing, when applying both reverb and noise reduction, which should come first?
@@WId-pw2gh because the reverbtail lays under the noise. If the noise is gone, the deverber can work better.
hello, can someone explain to me how it works to buy a waves plugin? do i only pay $29 once for a plugin?
i have never bought a waves plugin and i wanted to do it now because it's on sale but i'm still a bit skeptical because of the cheaper price…
Yep! 29 bucks and it's all yours. I've been using their earlier cleanup plug in and I just love it. Can't wait to download and try this one tonight!
you only get support for one year and you have to pay every 12 months a Waves Update Plan (WUP) to download updates. This is not an issue if you use Windows as new versions of Windows will support older VST’s. if you use Apple Mac OS then you are screwed as you will nee to pay Waves for newer version. I spent over £1000 on Waves but will never buy another plugin until they remove the WUP as they are asking for $250 every year.
@@HikingWithCooperit’s permanent if you don’t update.
You have to pay for updates every year if you want to keep current. So it’s not just $29.
Looks like many have already forgotten the bag of $hit this company threw at their customers roughly a year ago.
What if he wasn’t in these places and the rooms were AI generated, that would mean the reverb was just added and then muted. Its difficult tell the difference from what real to what’s being generated when using AI. But I highly doubt waves would do such a devilish deceiving thing. 😂
Great! First comment here!
The Clarity VX "SERIES:? Wait, we all purchased Clarity Vx Pro (no modifier after it's name) because its job was to get rid of the noise and isolate the voice . As the description in a Waves video introducing Clarity Vx Pro said, "Clarity Vx Pro is a revolutionary real-time noise reduction plugin that isolates dialogue from ambience and cleans it at the highest quality, without artifacts - using a groundbreaking and time-saving real-time workflow." Seems to me that echo is ambience. But now, that plugin is just part of a "series", where the new plugin adds "DeReverb" to after Clarity VX? Nope. Nope. And nope.
noise reduction and dereverbaration are totally different things. clarity vx does fine when asked to clean reverb noises, but this guy seems to have been specifically designed to clear reverb.
i do wish they called clarity vx clarity vx denoise or something though. must have been an oversight
@@Imakesenseforaliving I hear you (no pun intended) LOL. However, when Clarity Vx was first introduced, the lead on the app specifically said they did not train the model on removing echo, as they thought it was something best left in. Now, a year later, well, that all changed. And we are asked to pay for another app. It just comes off as rotten.
@@Comedy4cast lol i appreciate the pun, intended or not. it seems to me like their building towards an all encompassing voice cleaning suit. probs will come out woth a derustle or declick type deal and then put them all together. probs just coming out with the specialized stuff as they finish it
@@Comedy4cast ??? This is a 30 dollar plug-in that does a specific thing really well. If you want to leave reverb in but clean up the noise, how would an all-in-one do that?
Acon Digital DeVerberate 3 sounds way better!!!
Don’t fall for the push for AI
AI has been around longer than you've been alive. I know because my formal background is in electrical/electronics engineering and subatomic physics. They're called thinking circuits but we have mechanical devices that had AI long before electronics existed.
@@JonDeth lately there's been a push for total AI plus you don't know how old I am
@@LilYeshua it's propaganda, there's no push for it. It is a talking point used in media to sell ad space.
*AI is literally older than I am and I am 45.*
Virtually everything people believe about science and technology due to media is outright ridiculous.
*The concepts you see in the movies are not possible and will never be possible where robots or computers takeover and cannot be stopped.*
Automation too?
Factory assembly lines 60 years ago replaced millions of human beings with highly unsophisticated robotics performing assembly. 60 years ago the stores were filled with products no human being touched outside packaging it for loading onto a truck.
Dereverb Pro, the reverb killer!!!! Thank you Waves. "GhostRecordsFrance" works with! (1 juin 2023)
Hey!
I'll buy any Clarity Vx plugins you make. These are so simple and useful. Would love to see a dialogue sweetener because that process is cumbersome.
Thanks! We're so glad you dig them!
