- Watch the video for full recipe and instructions on how to make this double dark chocolate chip cookies. This comes with walnuts and if you don’t like walnuts, feel free to substitute with other kinds of nuts. If you don’t want nuts at all, you can omit it totally. You may increase your chopped chocolates by 20g or not… that’s totally fine.

160g unsalted butter
135g brown sugar
50g castor sugar
1tbsp vanilla essence
50g cocoa powder
145g plain flour
1tbsp rice flour
1/2tsp baking soda
1/2tsp salt
160g dark choc buttons (75%) - chopped

Tried this recipe ruduced the sugar by 40g, walnut was overpowering. Will try use almond next time. The shape stayed and didn’t melt. But sugar so grainy 😭 thank you for the recipe tho will try again. 💕

Sy guna Caalebaut yang 75% dark chocolate. Biskut ni memang nya utk dark choc lover. Agak pahit kalau utk sesetengah oramg. Kalau tak nak pahit, boleh ganti ke 50-55%.

Hi, u can omit the nuts if u want plain, just chocolate chips. Can add abit more choc chips and flour if necessary. When u feel the dough if its too soft then u add 1tbsp at a time. But i think it shld be ok. If needed maybe just add 1tbsp flour

If its just like soft then shld be ok. Do u use couverture choc? If u dnt want the choc to be melty, then u use those normal choc chips. If u use dark couverture like 70% or higher, i think the choc shldnt be too melty unless if its like milk choc or smthg.

Hi, i think u can try by adding 25g plain flour first then slowly add the plain flour to maybe just 40g plain flour and remove the cocoa powder totally.

Try start with a room temp butter but not soft.. like out of the fridge for abt 20mins. It may either be ur dough or oven temp. Let me know how it goes if u tried again 😊

Kalau buat biskut ni selalunya tk perlu pukul sampai kembang jd boleh gunakan tangan/spatula je. Kalau guna mesin kene jaga jgn sampai terkembang pukul menteganya. Tp kalau guna tangan, butter mesti lembut sikit. Tu yg sy tau lah.

Actually this cookie, if u use dark choc as stated in the recipe, it wldnt be so sweet. Some even say its a bit bitter. But if u still want to reduce, try reduce 10-25g for brown sugar and 10g castor sugar.

My oven i use top and bottom heat with fan and change tray top and bottom halfway thru.

Hi sis, baking soda cuma 1/2 tsp je pun rasa mcm lebih bkg soda? Resepi ni calls for dark bitter chocolate tp kalau awak tk suka bitter then the callebaut 811 shld be gd. Kalau rasa manisnya ok pada u, tk perlu kurangkan gula. Maybe the cocoa pwder brand yg u gunakan? I suggest using the dutch processed ones or the better brand. Callebaut cocoa powder pun sedap juga.

If u dnt wanna use rice flour, can substitute with tapioca flour, potato starch or corn flour. If low protein flour, texture may differ abit

Hi, i think you can reduce to abt 10g each sugar bt do note tt if u use 75% dark chocolate like i did, it may be bitter. If u dont want it bitter, u can reduce the choc % to those maybe 55-65%.

Maksudnya kalau taknak guna choc yg 75% cocoa tp nak gantikan choc chips? Kalau guna choc chips yg semi sweet atau yg abt 50% cocoa tak perlu kurangkan gula. Kalau nak kurang manis boleh lah kurangkan abt 10g each sugar.

Hi dear, for biscuits, it dont nd to be fluffy. For this, just beat butter n sugar for abt 3 mins for it to be creamy. Butter is room temp. Not softened.

Resepi ni kalau btl2 untuk premium jd bahan2 kene pakai premiun baru rasa nya sedap. Tp boleh jg guna resepi ni dan tukar sikit kalau nak jual murah. Sy guna coklat couverture 75% kalau nak murah sikit jgn guna yg dark coklat sngt. Ade org kata pahit. Semi sweet atau 50% boleh. Coklat chips biasa pun boleh.

Hi may i know do i need to preheat the oven before baking the cookies? If we need to, may i know at which temp? can i put the cookie dough inside the fridge overnight? may i know can i reduce the sugar to 130g of brown sugar only without putting castor sugar? If i reduce, will it be too bitter?😅😅😅
Hi, preheat oven at 160°C about 10-15mins before bake.
Yes can cling wrap dough and keep in fridge overnight but thaw before scoop and bake.
If u only use brown sugar, texture will be different. Nd to put caster sugar abit. Can reduce to 130g brown sugar and 40g castor sugar if u want it less sweet but if u use 70% dark chocolate, ur cookie may turn out more bitter.

I never used beryls so im not sure. If u like bitter cookies, as long as its 70% shld be ok. If u dnt like ur cookies bitter, try the 50-60% chocolate.
Corn flour shld be ok.

Tak taruk air. Pelan2 gaul je nnt dia mcm tu. Tu video i potong halfway waktu gaul kalau tak nnt panjang sngt. Guna tangan gaul lagi senang.
