I was introduced to "One Step Ahead of the Spider" in Santa Fe, NM in 1996. It blew me away..."Buried at Sea" sort of became my theme song. It was the perfect blend of rap, poetry, jazz and just plain "groove". My friend and I went to Vegas shortly after I bought this CD and upon our entrance to LV I cranked this way up as we were traveling down The Strip with the windows down and the people on the sidewalk could not help themselves.

I discovered this song via the American (records) compilation that came with the Sega game Comix Zone, lol. Overall it was a pretty good sampler. It had Danzig, this, a really good Love and Rockets song, etc.
Hell With The Lid Off came out on vinyl in the US and Europe. Welcome To My Dream came out on vinyl in Europe. This album, One Step Ahead Of The Spider, ... I don't think there was a vinyl version. I could be wrong.
if you've got other songs that sound like this, I'd like to hear them. this is the only one I know of. "If I only Had a Brain," "Killer Inside Me," etc. sound like a completely different artist.

On a different note, you should really bring back this old-school 90's style music, if just instrumentals if you're feeling a little lazy =P.
