I've often heard of bone sauce but just assumed it was a type of barbecue sauce for ribs. Now I do need to get some to save my trees.

I use(paint) extreme hot sauce on the bark with a pinch of permethrin for double duty of borers control and squirrels ( they don't like getting the hot sauce on there lil tootsies..lol..thanks for a real use case for Billys bone sauce, been wondering if it works good!

It has done the job for me. But there is probably a few deer out there that it won't bother. Hot sauce would do it!

Where I live now .. I don't have deer pressure .. so I haven't tried this method that I will mention. A friend tells me that taking rotten eggs and spreading them on the edge of his garden has been working to keep the deer out. I guess the Sulphur smell isn't to their liking .. as we know deer have good smellers! In the past I have also used human hair I have gotten from a hair stylists business .. and I have used human pee in plastic coke bottles with holes in them .. varying degrees of success.
