Top tier quality video Wilson! There was one "Community" event, being a foto mode competition. It was exclusive to Britain if I can remember right. (Even though the Rebellion channel mentioned to keep a lookout for community events/events in the near future. That video was right before season 2) It's quite unfortunate to see the dlcs not coming out too great. Both season passes combined together are almost the same price as the base game.
The prices of the DLCs puts me off, especially when I watch honest, candid, and articulate videos such as this. Rebellion have been real shady with the way they've handled the DLC.
The cost of making games has gone up yet prices have remained mainly the same. I feel like they are making up the money by inflating dlc prices vs increasing the base game price.
I have to agree with this. I honestly want them to add simply more diverse guns, instead of anachronistic ones like the Swedish K. Guns like the SVT-40 (which suits the PU scope far better since it's more close ranged than the other scopes), TT30/33 or Nagant M1895 (in order to round out the Soviet purist builds), Walther PPK, and more would be nice. I also would possibly like to see more actual snipers in ghillies. Since the Soviet Mosin Nagant and PPSH41 are insanely good in this game, being able to actually be one would be fucking AWESOME imo. I'd say Season Pass 2 is pretty okay, but it definitely could be better. Or add in Imperial Japanese snipers in ghillies too, considering full Japanese load outs can be made with the addition of the TERA into the game. Playing as the Germans too needs to be in the game, I really don't care if it's "realistic" or not. The all black uniform of the Valkyrie hunter units from 4 are so fucking cool, and... you can't use them in SP. Nice I guess.
I must be the only person that doesn't really like the PPSh. You have to work really hard with the upgrades to make it anything other than a spray n pray weapon, one of the upgrades being reducing the fire rate, so then why pick it over the Type 100? Not many people use the Welgun though, but I love it because I know if I fire 4 bullets, I'll probably hit with 4 bullets. Slower firing, faster at killing.
You forgot to mention that there was a bug on the Mosin and the Sjoren with their iron sights, in which the front sight of those guns weren't displayed at all. Which was really upsetting for players who love to ADS in first person. It took them awhile to get that issue patched as well.
They really should have fixed the bugs quicker, but on the other hand, the Sjogren is my favourite of all the DLC weapons (maybe equal with the Winchester), and was even before they fixed the front sight. I've played through most of the missions with just that one shotgun, and had an absolute blast.

I think they should give harry a ghillie suit or just add more ghillie suits altogether. And the rifle wraps are cool but they should add the ability to put the smg and pistol camos on them too, right now if I want my rifle to look camouflaged I have to use the light elm wood to make the weapons look green and I just miss how the ghillie wraps looked on se4.
something happend on SE5 that i dont whether is a bug or a hidden feature as when my cover was blown my player model was stood in my last known position similar to SE4s character outline. after repositioning and getting detected again it appeared again although both times without weapons, i attempted it a third time but no character appeared so im honestly not sure.
I will say the mosin is a very good weapon for invasion if you don't have a kar unlocked. I play authentic so using it in campaign is pretty bad as I'd much rather trade the muzzle velocity for increased damage.
I still think the RSC 1918 is the best non-DLC invasion rifle. You don't often need the range of the K98K, and being able to get a second shot off quickly against a moving target is a big plus. RSC over Gewehr, just because of the better damage and it feeling a bit more controllable, despite similar control stats. The different fire rate doesn't matter, because it's the recoil control that limits how fast you can shoot. The Lee Enfield is probably better though. Quicker fire rate than the Mosin, while still feeling really nice to use. K98k is my campaign go-to, but I don't really like it for invasion.
@@DeletedScenes312 I think they balanced the gewher pretty bad, it has good control meaning recoil but no matter what it has terrible stability even with leather pad and laminated beach. I play on PC so I've never had a huge problem with hitting things so I just use the mosin or kar but I'll have to try out the rsc one time. I will admit I never used it because I know how bad it was in campaign.
@@queefyg490 I'm not on PC, so if you're more confident you'll hit first time you might not see any benefit in using the RSC. It is pretty poor for campaign use. Invasion is more a personal preference. It's rare human players are 300m+ away, and you don't need anything quiet, so it's main weaknesses don't really matter. With the Gewehr, I just ignore stability and accept the fact I'll need empty lung. I think it's best if you prioritise recoil and muzzle velocity, and stick a suppressor on it. You get a decent all rounder, but if you want it for one specific thing, there's always something else that's better.
The ending of Kraken Awakes was a missed opportunity. Flipping to a cut scene is bullshit. I'd have much preferred an influx of enemies, snipers and vehicles trying to stop you reaching your extraction point. I thought that having more than 1 season pass was a bit of a piss take considering you get less in 2 SP's than you did in 1 SP from the previous game. Especially since the game was released nearly 2 years late you would have thought they'd have had plenty of time to create more DLC. Do you think there'll be an SP3 or do you think they'll coast on sales until SE6?
It sounds like the story of SE5 is over. I'd like another Season, as we still have less content than SE5, but I don't know if we'll get it. My guess is they'll switch focus to Zombie Army 5 instead.
I think it just didn't change much. It would have been great if motion capture was used to capture animations like in TLOU2. Kills would be so much more satisfying with motion capture movement and more realistic screams when enemies get injured. Naughty dog showed how that should be done and big franchises should be able to incorporate motion capture.
I'd personally prefer to see a French SMG and a Soviet pistol, just to complete the loadouts, but I totally get why people want the Garand. I can't see them giving us a high power semi-auto though, just because of how games balance rifles, so if we do get it, it's most likely to sit somewhere above the TERA and the Pedersen, but below the Gewehr in terms of damage, just because that's where the biggest gap is. The only semi-auto that's powerful enough to guarantee a one hit kill to the torso, currently, is the RSC 1918, and that sacrifices massively on range so they'll definitely give it less power than that. Something just below the Gewehr would be fine though, if they made it more controllable and gave it the grenade attachment.
For me, the point about weapons and upgrades, is this. The upgrades in SE5 make almost every weapon in the game useful, to some extent. Yes, we've got fewer of them, yes some of the upgrades are repeated or don't technically match real life upgrades, yes they cost more. But, SE5 has way more weapons that i actually want to use - the only rifles I never touch are the DeLisle and the Pedersen, and a lot of other people love the DeLisle. I'd have liked to have paid less, but I've also had a lot of hours of enjoyment out of the game. We were spoiled rotten with SE4's DLC, but I don't feel totally ripped off with SE5s. If each season pass was around £5 cheaper, and maybe Rough Landing was the mission it was meant to be, I think that would have been about right.
This is all true, however you're kinda just beating a dead horse. Everyone knows the DLCs are overpriced. Also, it's worth mentioning that SE5 has more base game weapons (18 vs 15). On top of that, there are the weapon attachments. And while you did point out that the attachments are repeated, however that doesn't remove all of the value of them. That is especially true we you consider SE4's boring and redundant upgrade system.
I kinda share similar sentiment, with no disrespect meant for Mister Wilson. I honestly like the SE5 upgrade system a lot more cause it means all guns are good, but they can be even better. Unlike the 4th game, where only a few guns were worth using and the rest were basically worthless. Being able to Solid Snake or Sam Fisher your way in any level using only silenced guns is really nice, not to mention the live audio and models of the guns are easily worth the price of admission on sale on Steam for me at least.
