How To Crochet The V Scarf - DIY Tutorial for the Triangle Scarf

  • Today's design is meant to boost your creativity and inspire you to get those #wips done! It's a FAST project and only requires a few hours of your time! Even less if you're a speedy crocheter! Grab 1-2 skeins of your favorite worsted weight yarn (or about 375yrds) and let's get to making!
    PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS:
    Start by making our magic circle (video tutorial: • How to Crochet - Magic... )
    CH 2. Place 6 HDC into the center of the circle. Pull tight to close.
    Row 1 - CH 2. Turn. Place a HDC into the same CH 2 space. CH . HDC into the next ST. CH 1. HDC into next ST. CH 1. HDC into the same ST again. CH 3. HDC into the next ST. CH 1. HDC into the same ST again. CH 1. HDC into the next ST. CH 1. Place 2 HDC into the last ST. CH 2. Turn.
    Row 2 - 6: HDC into the same space as your CH 2. CH 1 - skip 1. HDC into the next ST. CH 1 - skip 1. Repeat from * until you get to the CH 3 of the previous row. ***this is the point of the triangle** Place HDC - CH 3 - HDC into the CH 3 space. CH 1 - skip . *HDC into the next ST. CH 1- Skip 1. Repeat from * until the last ST and place 2 HDC into the last ST. CH 2. Turn.
    Row 7: HDC into the same space as your CH 2. HDC into each ST until you reach the CH 3 of the previous row. ***creating an increase in the 2nd ST of the CH 3** HDC into the 1st ST of the CH 3. Place 3 HDC into the 2nd ST of of the CH 3. (mark the 2nd HDC made with a stitch marker). HDC into the 3rd CH of the CH 3. Continue with 1 HDC in each ST until the last ST. Place 2 HDC into the last ST. CH 2. Turn.
    Row 8: HDC into the 3rd ST of the same space as your CH 2. HDC into each 3rd ST until you reach the stitch marker of the previous row. ***creating an increase3** Place 3 HDC into the 3rd ST marked. Continue with 1 HDC in each 3rd ST until the last ST. Place 2 HDC into the last ST. CH 2. Turn.
    Rows 9 - 12: repeat rows 7 & 8
    Rows 13 - 49: repeat rows 2 - 12.
    **optional edging would be a SL ST. However there's not really a need for an edging in my opinion.

    FYI.... the V scarf and the triangle scarf are 2 different patterns. I was looking for the V scarf and this popped up. It has a distinguished V from top to bottom.

    Thank you for the video. Love the pattern. Love working in the 3rd loop and i like that you added 3 chains instead of 2 in the point.
