26 is definitely D miss The poem speaks of how the horses were replaced by cars and vehicles as land transportation and they are laughing at the accidents that happen because the they would never have accidents so the thing that replaced them causes harm
Resitting English this year. Tuesday to be exact. I am a private candidate doing exams at the Kingston branch. I pass English with a grade 3 some years a back and I have decided to re do it. Well for question 30 I was saying to myself that the answer was sarcastic as well as it could also be indifference.
I think #26 is D because the poem is more focused on the vehicles that replaced the horses and the accident that they are causing...If something takes my place I will laugh or rather have that "I told you so" feeling especially if that said thing turns out to be bad. Only one line mentioned the prairie while most of the poem focused on the vehicles that replaced the horses and the accidents.
@@NatkenEducation you are the worst , you even qualified to teach English A? Or any subjects? Thousands of students are watching you to get wrong information and change the perspective of what they already knew or "thought" they knew . If you guessing just shut up please miss ! And thanks
I think #26 is d, 'whinnying in soft derision' clearly emphasizes the mockery of the motorists' frequent death by these horses. It's like they are thinking of themselves as being more effective than the cars whilst at the same time they don't mind being free.
#30 is sarcastic, i think the poet is saying something that he or he doesn't necessarily mean.#31 to me is carefully, recklessly is out. Becuz the poet says "take a chance and trust to luck". That's just my opinion.
I believe sarcastic but for 31 was really recklessly cuz to me the writer himself is one of the horses....was never good at English but that's just how it sounds to me 🤷♀️
nah #30 isnt sarcastic,it prolly persuasive it says heres a curve heres a truck take a chance tust to luck the other ne is practically standing still they tryna persuade the person to drive reckessly when they say trust to luck
26- it sounds like (D) but I DONT think that they will be laughing at something that replaced them which causes harm. Just use your discretion. I THINK IT IS (B)
This September, God's willing, I will also be doing over some other subjects that I have grade 3 in. Like social studies, Accounts and Office Administration and do IT for the very first time also and CAPE Economics unit 1 & 2
For #20, at first my option was letter D but I later agreed with option A. Retrench means to cut staff...not demote; therefore the opposite would be to employ...not promote.
I really appreciate the clarification on these questions. I was going through these exact questions weeks ago. 😌hopefully they’ll be on the exam this morning.
I also believed that 31) is C because maybe there are too many fatalities and he's tired of seeing people lost their lives carelessly. In other words, he's immune to that hot spot for drivers
For # 20 sorry my comment is so late I have no phone for myself, retrench sort of means out, and employ means in, promote means uplift, demote means down. So I would go with employ.
Here for English exam tomorrow. We got this 1's & 2's, good luck tomorrow everyone. And thanks for another well put together video Ms. G. 🙏🏽

26 is definitely D miss
The poem speaks of how the horses were replaced by cars and vehicles as land transportation and they are laughing at the accidents that happen because the they would never have accidents so the thing that replaced them causes harm
I agree ☝️
Exactly!
Yes Ms.(B) is definitely the correct answer for Question number 20 because in principles of business we are taught that retrenching means unemploying.
My grandma use to used that word so I remember it from long
First Thing Came To Mind
how could somebody dislike any of your videos? You're so helpful miss, thank you so much!

26) D cause it says whinnying in soft derision AT breakdown, blowout and collision...

You did the 2021 csec english paper 1 and 2 already?
In January.. yes
The same paper she's doing now??
Hope some of these questions come on my exam next week. (Jan 2022)
For question #6, Its should be It's...therefore the sentence is not saying "it is". Its in that sentence is showing ownership.
Hi im watching your videos.. you have been explaining the work really great... good job
I think #26 is d, 'whinnying in soft derision' clearly emphasizes the mockery of the motorists' frequent death by these horses. It's like they are thinking of themselves as being more effective than the cars whilst at the same time they don't mind being free.
Good point

Your opinion is correct
Correct because he is being sarcastic. He is saying the opposite.
Yes I believe its sarcastic
I believe sarcastic but for 31 was really recklessly cuz to me the writer himself is one of the horses....was never good at English but that's just how it sounds to me 🤷♀️
nah #30 isnt sarcastic,it prolly persuasive
it says heres a curve heres a truck
take a chance tust to luck
the other ne is practically standing still
they tryna persuade the person to drive reckessly when they say trust to luck
26-(D) cause it is something bad but they wrote it so that it would mean a good thing but it is really a bad thing
totally agree, they could be laughing to mock the motorist
I agree, they are laughing at the irony that they were replaced with something that causes harm.
English A is basically just a higher vocabulary. ❤️🔥
🙃
I really appreciate the video am learning a lot, they're a lot of areas that are very clear to me know
Thank you

Thank you for this paper i learn something .
Absolutely
This video is very helpful. I would love to see the rest of the paper explained. Thank you very much.
I agree with you for #31. The poet implies that driving is a bit like a game of chance "usher out the unlucky drivers", gives evidence of this.
If this is the case though, then I believe his tone throughout the poem in its entirety would be 'indifferent'.
I understand what you are saying. Good points!
Awesome 👍😎😎😎
You're doing a job. Thanks for this lesson

I would choose letter ~D~ for number 26, mainly because it has two pointers which tells you why the poet feels that the horses are laughing.
