Sick poultry show signs of high fever, red comb, and after a few days they stop eating and cannot survive. Adult chickens and ducks get sick first, followed by younger ones. When it's wet and rainy, it's difficult to clean and disinfect. Ana's hopes to be able to control it or everything will get really bad. Do you have any solutions to prevent poultry diseases? It has been virulent, recently. Any chickens that survive will be immune, but the most common practice is to slaughter the entire flock. It probably came in via wild birds being attracted to your chicken feed. I don't see the point of slaughtering birds that are not showing symptoms as they will be the ones with the immunity, once it all passes.
Dear Anna! I was shocked by the reality of your farm, where so many animals have been lost due to the unexpected spread of an infectious disease. I felt sad for you, but as you disinfected and cleaned up the farm, you looked beyond the disappointment and made progress, working hard to create a new environment for the birds. Your physical and mental health is wonderful.

Dear Ana ... Thank You for another fantastic story. Excellent. My wife and I have been looking forward to your next video and we were not disappointed!! It was fantastic!! As for your chickens. Feeding them medicine is a very good thing to do, but also, you need to get a larger sprayer and spray all of the areas that the chickens frequent. Their chicken coop and the areas that the hang out. I am sure that the store that you purchased the medicine at can help you with what to spray. If you cannot find anything else, a strong bleach solution will work. You need to do this spraying frequently, particularly since the storms will wash it away. I would also burn down your old chicken coop. Don't try to save anything out of it. Additionally, you should put sawdust on the floors of your chicken coops and clean them out every now and again, This is a GREAT breeding place for bacteria/viruses. Once everything is good, continue to spray but only occasionally and also clean out the chicken coop ... maybe twice a year or so. In your video there was several closeups of your face. You are a very beautiful lady ... my question is how do you keep your skin so perfect ?? It is flawless. It seems that with all the heat, dirt and sweating that it would be a problem but you have obviously solved it. Thank You once again for all the effort you put into this project. Ana you could add gutters to the new bird coop, along with a water barrel to catch rain water from the roof/guttering of the coop, to then feed down into a pvc pipe, with chicken watering nipples placed down the pvc pipe, to give continuous fresh uncontaminated rainwater to the birds, without you having to offer water at all. It be a automatic watering system for them. (You could do similar set ups for all animals on the farm by doing rain catchment on all the buildings for sure) just an idea :) There are also pvc diy chicken feeders you can do too whereby you can dump 50lb bags of feed into them at a time so less effort feeding as it will last them a while :) lots on google for ideas of course :)
My condolences on the outbreak of disease on your farm, this happens to farmers the world over. It seems hygiene is key, clean out bedding, feces', and white wash your buildings. Spay antiseptic etc. Your medicines look good and your good attitude to the drama all help. This will pass Ana, your, amazing skills at designing and building structures serves you well. The coop looks nice "BUT" those screws look like cheap drywall screws that wont hold up to weather and rot with rust. The coop needs to be white washed, painted with lime and salt mix to help fight disease. Without the white wash bacteria and fungus will soak in the wood.

Im educated at farming school here in Norway, so i can try to give you some advice to prevent more sickness at your hens, chickens and ducks. Less hens and ducks at one place, if you going to have many, you need more space and more hen house and duck house. not so many hens and ducks in one room. Clean often. On ground you can try with saw grater. Clean the place they eat and drink every day, infection often accumulates there. If you early see sick ducks ore hens ( chickens ), take them away fast. Use hot water when you clean that they eat and drink from. Hope some of these can help you Ana. 🥰🤗🏵🌹💐🌻
