    I find it strangely comforting that 3 bones at 4:25 can over power the entire group. Beyond amazing.

    Is it me or does the cornet on the naxos cd cover have a massive dent in the crook?

      Most likely "purists" who would say this chart should not be played by anything but a "proper" symphony orchestra (never mind Holst actually wrote this for two PIANO's).

    is the solo playing at 3:00 an euphonium or trombone?

    • @monsieurbernoulli8101
      @monsieurbernoulli8101 8 років тому

      obviously euphonium, i can hear it now

    • @Me-wk7dz
      @Me-wk7dz 6 років тому +3

      There's two instruments playing, the Euphonium is the dominant but I believe a cornet (could be a trombone) is playing alongside too.

    • @kenross3374
      @kenross3374 6 років тому +1

      Pretty sure it's a Euphonium doubled by a French Horn or Alto Horn. The Cornet picks up 30 seconds into it.

    • @joeervin1985
      @joeervin1985 5 років тому

      I don't think the euphonium comes in until after the cornet. That sounds more like tenor horns and baritone.

    • @joeervin1985
      @joeervin1985 4 роки тому

      Tabourba No, definitely not a euphonium at 3:00. Listen to 3:54 when the euphonium is doubling the cornet, very different sound. I’d bet a baritone.
