Clearly, the real best weapon of this season was the Grizzco Roller. (Please nintendo when do we get the Grizzco weapons in PVP challenge I'm begging you let me commit vehicular squidslaughter-)

I feel like the mint decavitator plays a lot like the splat roller so it makes sense why I like it so much

wellstring absolutely demolishes the tent shield and i could not be happier because i've been playing like, nothing but wellstring lately 😭
Tbh I don't think any of these weapons except for the wellstrings and crb really do much against tent. You could maybe argue charcoal with its wall, but the telegraph and bad endlag makes it a bit of an easy target in close range matchups, and splatlings have never been all that good against brellas in the first place.

Sucks to see the bow so low in comparison to other new weapons, because it's extremely fun to use casually. One of my favorite weapons of all weapons for sure. That said, it's hard to feel too bad about it in such a stacked season.
Yeah still very strong, it just has some insane competition.
Imo, strictly talking about the kit synergy, i would put wellstring about mid tier. The only bad part about the kits are the specials not being buffed themselves, but that doesn't i dont think wellstring is atleast A tier
@@jonh3141 Yeah, it's the same problem every bow kit has had where it's has decent synergy, but is just really undertuned balance wise (except deflux, that kit is irredeemable garbage)

Right as they said “And that’s ALL folks!” to Splatoon 3. The only time they felt like they actually improved the game was when they decide to drop further support. To me, it feels like an insult to anyone who hoped the game would get better before they ended support.
Their last new stage is the only one I really like playing on in the entirety of 3.

So excited to see how far the Wellstring gets pushed, I've been loving it so much since the day it came out and can tell it'll be my main for a long time, good or bad.
this season actually had a lot of banger kits, unfortunate how some kits flopped (WELLSTRING HAD AUTOBOMB... AND THEN THEY GAVE IT STAMP???)
what do you think would be a broken op kit on wellstring?
Autobomb on Wellstring isn't that terrible. It's a cheap bomb that also allows it to scout out enemies. It's way better than Point Sensor. Also, the weapon is still very strong, even with it's average kits.
Its still rlly fun tho

Honestly I think the main weapon kinda carries the kits, so I’d rank it around mid to lower high tier, I just think it’s kinda gear dependent.
Okay but The Custom Range Blaster has to be S Tier because it's Chara's favorite weapon class ever is anything Blaster related.
Wellstring V Vanilla is a fan favorite for everyone. I never knew it was kinda heavy to move around with. The set kit is good, Autobomb and Stamper sounds like a good combination. You have one attack and one support kind. 🦑
Nintendo really went: Nope, Torpedo is not a sub in this game anymore. Did we really need ANOTHER splat bomb?
that's what im saying edit easily could have had torp. Splat crab is an insane kit put onto a weapon that is actually pretty good but splat bomb is a better sub than torpedo so torp could have blanced things out a bit but then again torpedo is annoying asf so i can see why its on the least amount of weapons
Nah, I think while it is questionable to have 2 of the only 4 post launch splat bombs in one season, it does put SB back on the joint most common sub position which is historically accurate for it to be. Plus, out of all the weapons, I think it's kinda backed into a corner of repeats on a class or not super fitting weapons. The only one I think would've 100% been my choice given the option would be custom wellstring, which is still pushing it with some overlap from autobomb.
In all honesty, if I was in charge I would've shifted the burst bomb from douser to wellstring, the fizzy from bamboo to douser and then put torp on the bamboo

Can we all just mention, when reading the Bamboozler 14 Mk II description in Sheldon's Shop, he brings up that the weapon will bring you back to the Great Turf War, aka the World War of Splatoon? That has to trigger some sort of PTSD for a Splatoon Character 😂

Tbh the Decavitators are the exact sort of sword I’ve been waiting for, and play the way I wish Stamper did
I’ve been mostly running a Mint QR build, but I started trying out Ninja Squid Charcoal, and it’s HELLA fun

I like the Custom Welskibidi V the most, my second favourite is the Bammewzler 14 Mk II and my third favourite the Custom Hydra Gyatling. Wouldn’t you agree

This season’s weapons and stage reworks have single handedly restored my splatoon addiction
It’s funny because I watched the video on the “dream kits” and the one for custom range was literally the exact kit…
Finally a season with multiple good weapons!
I tried out custom wellstring with opening gambit for fun, maybe it was because I did it on tower but it felt pretty easy to keep the buff going with all the sensors and chip damage I could give (and all the kills from sticking a million arrows into the tower pole lol), which helps more than usual because of it being heavyweight
hopefully we get to see charcoal on a frontline dedicated comp, on maps it might be useful to run jetpack 👀
FYI, theres a way to cluster your shots at max range on well string by releasing your shot slightly before it turns vertical.
Not that it likely changes your overall conclusion, as it's pretty hard to consistently pull off under pressure and the kits are still just ok.
I'm really happy my two favorite splatlings got fun kits! while I'm not entirely sure when a good time to use screen is I have been making it work and ink mines are very fun with the weapon, and I enjoy having an actual bomb on heavy edit! I just need to learn when to use crab tank, which is much harder to use than tossing out cooler during a push.
Honestly, off topic, but during the big run that Grizzco Roller felt incredible

They should make recycled brella have less white ink frames after launching shield, to really play into the fact that it may be a more ink hungry weapon, but because of how much time you spend moving through your launched shield compared to other weapons you also have a lot more ink to work with. (In addition to other actual buffs too ofc)
the notion of splashdown being a stronger special than ultra stamp really caught me off guard
That small buff T.Splashdown got last season really helped it become a decent special. Heck, C.Explo isn't even considered a joke thanks to the buff.

After this patch came out, I had to make some heavy edits to my tower control build.
Their all good. It's takes time to get used to the damage output of the weapons, but at the end of the day they are really great to use.
2:27 by jumping and shooting right after that when the shots are'n fully vertical, or aiming up while jumping you can focus the shots in a smaller area. Still you can't hit all of them and aim straight like with a charger or even tri-stringer.
Tbh i’m not even a splatling player and even I enjoyed the crab edit!
You are definitely underestimating Wellstring V, jump tech makes it able to focus its shots in long range, the one shot is really easy to hit, it paints really well, and it has enough gear freedom to use mobility builds. Wellstring might just be the best main weapon in the game and that is not an exaggeration.

I honestly thought that we would have a Drizzle Season 2024 and a Chill Season 2024 that would add returning weapon variants like the Fresh Squiffer and the Bamboozler 14 Mk 3, because if you obtain every weapon in the game, including the Hero Shot Replica, the 11 Order Replica weapons and the Octo Shot Replica, then you have a total of 143 weapons. Like seriously, why didn’t we get the other weapon variants like Fresh Squiffer, Bamboozler 14 Mk 3, N-ZAP ‘83, Sploosh-O-matic 7 and others? Maybe they’re saving those for Splatoon 4 when that gets announced, because it is rumored that it’s being planned for the Switch 2.
Ever since I realised no one uses ninja squid range blaster, I’ve been trying without it and doing way worse. I thought the custom range blaster would be good, but it just hasn’t felt as effective as ninja squid vanilla range blaster for some reason

Recycled Brella could've been called Recycled Sorella Brella, but nope. We got Recycled Brella 24 MK II.

I had pretty mid feelings about the Dousers when they first came out. I tried to use them for a while, cause I like certain dualies. But, I never ended up vibing with the weapon.
Surprise, surprise! They gave the weapon a good kit and now they're one of my favorite main weapons. Sure, it's more so the specific kit itself. But after having a proper kit to practice with, I wouldn't mind going back to the vanilla kit. Even if I still prefer the 2nd kit, I feel more comfortable using the main weapon. The burst bombs are a great escape tool and are sometimes a nice poking tool when starting a fight. But, other times I don't even use them. I just feel comfortable and enjoy the main weapon itself now.
Idk i think we should start calling custom edit credit
I do think rebrella mk II has some fun value to it, even if it's a bit weak
I guess I'll have to try bamboo II next (TOTALLY not for double fizzy, nope)

The bambrella kit would be so much better if it had torpedo. At least all of the other kits are good, but I really wanted to see the brellas get a good kit.

Wait until Chara figures out the Wellstring long-range mortar shell one-shot and moves both kits to top teir. Seriously, Wellstring in a menace if you can land the long-range one shot consistantly.

You are very generous with the trash brella, putting it above Hydra. Hydra has its moments and can absolutely exert a ton of pressure on a team if there is a position it can take that isn't being watched by a charger. I have never seen a trash brella exert an ounce of pressure. It's ridiculously easy to keep it out because the main weapon is so immobile while firing and has awful paint. And even if it gets in, the main is incredibly unreliable and skill-reliant for little payoff. So at best, you're just trying to use it as the most inefficient splashdown delivery mechanism possible in a game where Enperries and Nautilus exist.
Decavitator gets #1 for most fun to use

@@mohammedalmozaiyen9201 no, it's not. The thing's spread shot is far from lethal, it's too slow, and the jump shot isn't one hit kill. Then again, I've only tested it in the training room, but I doubt it'll do better in combat.

i disagree with the new bow’s ranking. in my opinion its the ultimate chip damage weapon. wave breaker helps with that a lot and to get actual kills you need location info which point sensor helps with that as well. having your opponent needing to jump over the waves is also good because that makes them not able to move around as affectively which means you can position your shots easier! i love that kit so much and it has quickly become my favorite weapon in the game!
Btw i hate that they added a fgn 3ple splashdown.

@@HeDronHeDronHedron basically on twitter 3/4 of team jackpot (the splatoon NA official tournament team winners) were exposed for being racists and they were the also the people who got their characters as a banner in Splatoon 3 and while that was happening, other competitive splatoon players were exposed being racist also and apparently ProChara was one but this was like 6 years ago and he was uneducated about it and 6 years is enough to educate yourself and it’s enough to change as a person and he made a good apology about it so he is forgiven

I think for the wellstring they should:
1. increase the aoe of the explosions by 30%
2. increase the damage of the explosions at a full charge by 1/6th (30 > 35) (only at a full charge)
3. increase its strafe speed by 25%
Dude it’s already really strong, it’s just that the kits hold it back, It doesn’t need any buffs it needs nerfs.
So make it unfair,unavoidable.let me guess you can’t aim or smth

Cuz salmon run is probably totally finished with the big big run, recon map screen is full, and they're alr hinting at (presumably?) final fest. Only new (gameplay) things they could add atp without feeling weird would be third kits and balance. Which I would love but... In the seasonal update cycle that doesn't feel right

But yeah, I can see that as an emote, only instead of passing out, the player smiles with their teeth gleaming brightly.
It’s crazy to me just how incredible 8.0.0 is in terms of quality AND quantity. Legit the only dud to me is Bambrella, Toxic Mist really makes me miss Disruptor. But you combine all-stars like the CRB with all of the stage reworks, and it feels like the game’s received a MASSIVE surge in vitality. It’s great!
I fully agree with what he said about Wellstring at around 2:55. I think the weapon has a lot of skill expression / high skill ceiling. Tri-Stringer is much more linear in comparison
I'm not sure I see how their skill ceilings are that different...
It also has a funny you can do in rainmaker where you can just prevent KOs by spamming half charge shots at pillar

I’ve been in love with wellstring, at first I was kinda struggling with it but then I tried playing it like a mid-line weapon instead of a backline weapon, and suddenly everything clicked, the hammer, the one-shot, the weapon’s range, next thing I know, I’m getting the most splats every game. 🥳👍
I said originally that the new heavy edit wasnt as good as the og

Seeing that "10 seconds ago" video hits like crack
I was quite impressed with Wellstring and was smiling when other players were having fun with it or fearing it. It easily became one of my mains. While i can rely on Tri-Stringer for backline support, i can rely on Wellstring for midline aggression.
This is the best new weapon kits season in splatoon 3. Stacked as hell. Even if the wellspring got mid kits, the weapon itself is strong as hell
Plus this season is back to level of fresh season 2023, drizzle season 2013, chill season 2023 as well

I initially wrote wellstring off in the when I used it in the range. But then I played it in game and I've had more consistent success with it than any other weapon I've picked up.
The devs COOKED with the new weapons this season. It's a bit of a shame we're getting this quality of weapons so late, but honestly I'm just glad we got here at all
