Itachi was a man of great conviction, selfless life-style and humble loyalty to his people. He was a prodigy in the art of ninjutsu, and even at such a young age had what it took to be Hokage, a goal he shared with many in his village. This difference between Itachi and his peers though was that he could have achieved this dream if he had been given time. Circumstances and people of power stunted his growth and robbed him of his destiny by people treating him merely as a pawn to be thrown away. Was it fair? No. Did Itachi whine about it? No he didn’t. A true shinobi to the core, he understood what it meant to be a ninja. But there are so many tragic things that result in this, that while we know that Itachi had what it took to make it, had the skills and talents not seen but once in a generation, we also know that fate crapped all over him. Catching him between conflict after conflict, before deciding for one last “screw you” by giving him an incurable illness which would later claim his life. But one of the most tragic things about his life was his romantic life. Many of you don’t know this, but Itachi was in love.

ive never wished for something to happen in the Anime/Manga more than this.
it really sucked when you learned that Itachi (whom deserved every ounce of hype that he received) was destined for a life of loneliness.
to hear a story where he actually found love tugged at the heart strings a bit and a tear almost broke through.

I honestly think that if Izumi hadn't shown up at the Uchiha Clan's meeting, or if Itachi hadn't noticed her. She might've actually survived...
not likely sadly, obito was determined to kill all of them and part of the reason was so he could have their eyes and danzo was also after the same thing.. her chances were slim at least with itachi she received a more peaceful death rather than a gruesome one at the hands of obito or masked foundation member.

Nah. Obito would've just killed her instead as he was the one who had to kill the women and children while Itachi killed the men. At least by knowing Itachi she got a good death, being able to live what is basically a long, amazing life inside of the Tsukuyomi before dying.
This is now one of my favorites!! I was in tears at the end of it. in my life I see so much of my self in itachi finally he gets some source of happiness.

Pretty impossible; Minato wouldn't allow the Uchiha to be moved by Danzo (which caused the massacre), even if the nine-tales attack went normally

Kishimoto already created a manga for Minato and Kushina. Itachi was the second most voted. We have a chance to make this happen, and we saw how well he can write a long story. For reminder, in his canon novel he wrote the following already and has a solid baseline.
The most disheartening thing was that he did all this when he was just 13. I can't even imagine an adult handling such a task let alone a kid who just entered his teen years.
Potential spoilers but i felt inclined to write my thoughts.
Most of his childhood life was being discriminated against by the village while being pressurised by his clan. The love story between itachi and his girlfriend is one of the most heartbreaking scene.
Itachi had always been an introvert. He had no one to confide in other than one other uchiha best friend. The girlfriend named Izumi was the only person he ever developed romantic feelings for.
I'll filter out the anime scenes while bringing context from the actual canon novel that has not been shown.
Fugaku the father was glad that Itachi had her. "He may be a brute...but he's kind...please look after him." With a smile and resolute voice she replied "i know" the clan head shed tears for him and his girlfriend. The childhood that was taken away from him, he hoped itachi could find happiness in her.
At 11, in a playground scene. Izumi weeped and grabbed onto itachi, asking him where he's going and why he feels so far away. Him being an Anbu was sworn to secrecy and he could do nothing but stand there.
Out of everyone, Itachi chose to go to her first. Her final sentimental attachment. He couldn't bear letting her suffer the horrors of his action and didn't want her to die a unceremonious death. He expanded a colossal amount of chakra to ensure she past on peacefully.
In one hundredth of one thousandth of one millionth of a second, itachi used Tsukinomi on her. In it, they graduated, he proposed, they were wedded and had a child. All was well in the village. She eventually passed on from old age in the dream and when the jutsu ended, her voice sounding like an old woman whispered "Thank you." Itachi grabbed onto her shoulders and wept, "i should be the one thanking you, Izumi." "Thank you for loving me"
With that you know the rest. Itachi never again developed romantic feelings for another person in memory of Izumi. She was his first and last. I do hope they end up together in an alternate universe.
Someone should write a fanfic on it.

There’s obviously a whole bunch of things that someone could poke a whole in the story but the only one I think that I can think of is after itachis death and danzos death. I could see Danzo try to kill Izumi
I also could see her awakening her mangekyo after the crow clone dispersed knowing itachis light is about to leave the world forever, realistically at that point her eyes were close to evolving anyway, depending on her abilities she could have been as powerful as madara and bodied Kisame and Hebi and had itachi die in her arms surrounded by love like she wanted. Samehada would be an issue but I doubt a busted mangekyo ability or her wrath would be overtaken by it.

i loved this series please do more like it and though the direction you chose to take it was written well i would've loved to have seen a more drastic change to the plot instead of simply being a b plot other than minor changes to the way sasuke was raised also i would like a little more clarity on when and how she was impregnated do ero novel type details but the way it is portrayed leaves me to think that she was "assaulted" while in genjutsu which in your defense if it is what you implied she either didn't think about it or didn't care
