@@Sergiocalvominiatures Espectacular diorama, Sergio. Coincido plenamente con el comentario de Yoshi. También, veo que Stremeas en Tw*ch ahora, existe la posibilidad que subas los streams a youtube si no es mucho curro? Gracias por estos videos, de verdad. Relajantes e inspiradores.
So I said this on another painting channel, for me the fundamentals are: 1. Concept 2. Context 3. Painting Skill Let's start with 1. Concept. The category is Duel and there was some debate whether or not this concept was legitimate in that concept! Rightly so, however for me, this concept extends the category via "imagination" and that is CRITICAL part of the best concepts thought up for entrants. I think this just falls within duel with respect to a direct conflict and uses imagination to go "further": There's enormous EMOTIONAL IMPACT in this concept: The human running away is mundane fear in this world, the goblins have lost control! The Squig is raw hunger and appetite! It's really well conceived in concept. Moving onto 2. Context: A lot of this is the elaboration of the base which is superlative in conveying the world but the above emotions seep into context: This is fantastical but atst in this world mundane: A human running for their life from something so monstrous. Imho that interpretation of the category is excellent because it informs a lot of this world to the observer and that is something the best Golden Demon does - not only the skill! Finally 3. Painting Skill. I'm no artist so have zero ability to comment on this. But purely looking at the colours all I can say is WOW! It has come to life and the complexity in the Squig skin is exactly the little attention to details that make feel it is an organic living breathing creature like some sort of mix of amphibian and monster. I'm sure most of the people commenting here know more than me, but my reactions are above. I have seen Golden Demon awards almost since they first started! And the above 3 categories in reflection have always been what I think these awards are really trying to achieve: They promote the lore and hobby with such evocation by painting.
Hi :) After 20Years of not painting i decided to start again with that beautiful hobby. So i took a look around and man i am stunned about the mass of colors, (new) techniques etc etc. And of course about the really really fine and cool miniatures. Lovely, and the art you do is an inspiration. Sadly, i have non of my old figures. Movement took the tribute. So i start at zero and found your channel. Man, thats art! Really really cool art! And those figures you paint, man… loosing words. Abo is there, looking forward to new videos! Thank you!
I was looking for a painting tutorial, just watched a piece of art coming to life! I'll never be able to do 10% of your work but it was a pleasure to look at your video. Thank you!
Amazing! Besides the gorgeous and impressive paint job I feel like I have to point out the marvelous composition too. Such fluid movement and direction.
Absolutely love this! So inspiring to see the project unfold from start to finish like this. Learning so much from this…Bravo, and keep them coming Sergio!
I literally NEVER EVER write a comment. This may be my first one haha. You are probably the best I’ve seen in this category. I have to give credit where credit is due. Keep it up! You’re truly one of the best and you’ve inspired me 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
@@Sergiocalvominiatures That's a hard one, but probably watching you place the miniscule touches at various stages, and how they added up to be integral to the overall colour scheme. Also, the work on the base was fantastic, a pleasure to watch it come together.
i loved all the bumps and ridges on the squiq face, then you brought out the air brush and suddenly the whole thing came to life. fantastic work and skill
Have seen. Another happy remind😍. It is funny to find out the way that i missed at first time. Anyway, it is really good tutorial for "Orks Kill Rig". Looks like you have anticipated that model hehe.

Fantastic, would you consider lengthening the 'reveal' of the finished piece? really enjoy watching your process and would love to have a little longer to see the final result in all its glory at the end too...
It can't be understated what a beautiful rarity it is to find content in todays world that is simply good content and not clickbait bullshit riddled with adds and manipulation tactics. I love you for this. Also amazing painting. Finally someone who knows how much contrast is needed and how much would be overdoing it

What amazes me here, and with other great artist, is the ability to know what something will look like after 2-3 more layers on top of it. That's really hard and i guess only can be thought with trial and error and time.
