- Опубліковано 17 жов 2019
- I recently knew a Philippine pop group called #SB19 through all your comments. I've already seen their music video for #GoUp without recording a reaction video so I decided to make a reaction to their dance practice video instead with my friend who happens to be a dance teacher here in Korea. Before you watch this vlog pls bear in mind that our opinions may be connected to our experiences as former K-Pop trainees. There were also some technical difficulties in my camera audio etc. so pls understand. Thank you and enjoy!

Don’t worry even us Filipinos were suprised too when we learned about SB19
So true😂
nayss
Same😊
May nag correct pa tama din naman yung “we learned”
True i only know dem becoz of Twitter coz i keep seeing the # SB19 trending worldwide so sad dat im so late
"I think they can also debut in korea"
Yesssss we hope sooo too!! And yes they are famous now! Tysm for the reaction!
they can't they lack in visuals sorry
@@twicepink544
How can you say they lack in talent miss?
Im just asking :>
@@airamarquez7207 i mean visual but talent yeah for sure I'm sorry
@@twicepink544 They also said that when BTS debuted, that they lacked visuals, some people can be soooo negative. Not just because some people doesnt fit your standards of beauty it doesnt mean theyre ugly, for all we know most idols are surgically enhanced before their debut.
TwicePink ! In your opinion right? But sorry, SB19 is handsome. Not all Koreans but mostly of them before debuted they enhance their beauty.
They do the styling themselves. They dress up according to what fashion they prefer. And yes, they were trained here in the philippines by a korean coach under a korean ent. company that branched out here in the Philippines called ShowBT Philippines. 3 of the members trained for almost 4 years and the other 2 for 2 or 3 years. As a group, they trained for, I think, 2 years, in general. 2 of themwere in a dance cover group that covers, mostly, BTS songs (pls. correct me if I'm wrong) and 1 of them was also a member of a dance group that covers got7 songs (mostly).
PS: They wrote all of their songs and the also did their own choreogaphy. Their leader lead the songwriting while their main vocals is their main choreographer, btw. 😁
Sejun was a member of a Big Bang cover group. I think they won Phil-Kor talent contest 2016. Watched them in person in Phil-Kor 2017, they came as guests and sang Bang Bang Bang.
@@azzageronimo5212 wow. Didn't know that. Thankyou. :) Do they have any video of them performing?
@Its Rosie yes po. Hehe.. Siya yung nangunguna sa choreo at madali magkabisado ng dance steps.
@Its Rosie hindi ko rin po sigurado kung bakit. Pero magaling din si ken.
@Its Rosie oo naman!

OMG ganyan ka-talented ang SB19 super nakaka proud 😍
Korean entertainment based in the Philippines : ShowBT
SB19 members (All Filipinos):
* Josh
* Justine
* Ken
* Sejun (leader) composer of their songs
* Stell
They covers BTS, Bigbang, Ikon and more.
They trained in the Philippines for 2-4 years by a Korean mentor named Ms. Hong
SB19 is the 1st P-pop in the Philippines
Their ORIGINAL SONGS:
* Tilaluha
* Go Up
* Hanggang sa Huli
* Love Goes
Actually the 2nd Ppop next to mnl48.. I stan both of them by the way. 😊
Fun fact .. some of the members met bts back in 2014 or 2015
Ppop group yes but not first ppop nakakahiya naman kay sarah g na tinaguriang pop superstar
I disagree with them being the 'first ppop' in ph hahaha
Can you mention other group with the same category as K-pop idols though? 🤗😊 like SB19?
I used to hate watching Filipino dances but when I know SB19 I felt proud that I am a Filipino
Fun fact: SB19 claimed in an interview that when they released "Go Up" they were so ready to fail and thought that if this release flops they'd atleast go all out before giving it a rest...
HOWEVER... The moment, "Go Up" got released, it became a bop, and got international recognition... And even got them to the billboard charts 😍😍😍 these boys are awesome.
Like, if BTS were Filipinos, they would be SB19.
Because here in the Philippines, we don't have the big 3 but we have The Giants which are GMA(sorry I forgot the name of their artist training department) and Star Magic. Almost every famous local artist in the industry comes from these two networks. Others would either be from small companies or indies.
SB19 was exactly that, they came from ShowBT a small company from Korea.
At first, the Giants ignored them, they weren't provided airtime, even MYX(Philippines' version of MNet) didn't give them a slot as they were "unknown".
But SB19 got viral in the international scene that the local media/industry could no longer ignore them.
They are pretty famous here, but still the local media has prejudice, since the two Giant networks have become sort of a culture in the industry that artists from other agencies are still hard to accept by the masses.
SB19 is a rock who broke that toxic culture, and paved the way for the music industry. When before, artist are famed for their popularity and looks(marketability). SB19 showed everyone that artists should be artists, and not just a face.
That quality is better than visual marketability
Simply their manager and either their CEO and stuff really loves them they take good care SB19 very well.❣️🥰 That's why they looked so expensive 🥰❣️
The boys' Names are:
Ken -main dancer (sings the first verse of the song and the part after chorus)
Sejun - leader (sings first part of chorus)
Stell-heavenly voice (sings high notes)
Justin -youngest member (sings 2nd verse of song after KEN
Josh - charismatic member (sings rap part)
They are from the Philippines. Stell and Josh heard about an audition the company called SHOWBT (a Korean agency) is having so Josh called up Ken and Justin if they want to audition. They met Sejun there. There were hundreds of them. They had to do workouts, vocal conditioning, body conditioning. Even how to act as artists. They had weekly evaluation where some of them gets eliminated. Then the 5 of them remained. They trained here in the Philippines under the Korean Intensive training system. I think they launched last year with their single Tilaluha (a sad song about unrequited love). The song and the group didn't get much attention which saddened them. But they still trained 9 or more hours everyday with Sundays off. Because they felt depressed by things being stagnant, they wrote the lyrics of Go Up for their comeback song. They practiced that dance 1000x (30x a day) to makr it perfect before performing it. That is why they looked synchronize. These boys actually work so hard and always give their best in every performance. That why I STAN SB19!
Btw, the name SB19 comes from the initials of the agency who manages them ShowBT then 19 comes from the country code of Philippines and Korea (63 & 82). So 6+3+8+2 =19.
But they also made their own meaning. SB for sound break because the group's main goal is to break into the music industry here in the Philippines with their new and fresh sound. And 19 represents the youthful generation (or something like that hehe).
They are under a Korean company ShowBT. They were given the song but they wrote the lyrics themselves, they choreograph their dance and style themselves.
Now I know... 😶
Thanks for the info!❤️
Thanks for informing them co-a’tin!
Thanks sa info 😊
Maganda kung magkakaroon ng sm entertainment dito sa pilipinas para magkaroon din ng chance ang ibang pinoy patunayan ang kakayanan natin . Pero kung wala naman ..... Yeah and following the bandwagon, i think big entertainment companies in the PH will hire Korean mentors to enforce the same training regimen for future idol groups and even for solo performers. I daresay when SB19 retires in the far future, they will eventually become mentors of the nextgen idols.
Hndi nga sinali ng SM Ent. ang PH sa pa Global Audition nila khit ni isa.
Watching Koreans react to them like this makes me feel like I see rainbows everywhere! Thank you for appreciating their hard work, talents and skills. ( ꈍᴗꈍ)

Ok but theres white girls that did a cover on there song 😍
So true
They ware all Filipino boys trained under a Korean Entertainment Company(Show BT) that branched out here in the Philippines 😊 Their song 'Go Up' was produced by a Korean producer and they wrote the lyrics themselves. They are also the ones who choreographed the dance. Thank you for reacting to them and we're hoping for more of your reactions! ❤❤❤
Wow so talented and the song is so good. I will definitely check SB19 out. Thanks for introducing them to me Jonathan.
@Southeast9and6 Thanks for the recommendations. I watched all 3 and I agree, I like the dance practice better. From a design point of view I think the M/V needed a bit of color correction. They seem to blend in too much to the background and it drowned them out at times. The practice video had nice contrast. It really showcased their talents. Very catchy song, I'm enjoying it. Wish them lots of success. 👍
Thank you for appreciating our filipino dancer!look also the music and dances in their page
This song was Pablo's (leader) "last shot" because the group was on the verge of disbanding..He wrote this song and the members did the choreography..and because of this "last shot", they made it to the top now (Billboard top 1)..thank you Pinunong Pablo for giving this last shot and thank you members for not giving up..I am grateful I got to know all of you..please continue to make good music and comebacks because this is the FIRST and ONLY time I stanned Filipino artist..God bless you more MAHALIMA.. 🙏❤️. ..

Yeah, some people in the PH can be so vile, I see a lot of bashers in the comments section of their videos, I think they should be happy that a revolution in the music industry is starting to take place with SB19 taking the lead. It's a bit sad to think that it took a Korean Agency to make the local PH music industry realize what it lacks: innovation and strict work ethics.
@@mountainblanc3200 exactly! 👍 It seems that mediocrity has become the norm here. People rally behind mediocre artists. When something or someone revolutionary appears, they will bash and drag them down. - crab mentality - sad reality though.
Joot Joot just like you do. Calling other artists mediocre ma promote mo lang ang mga idols mo. Tse! What innovation are you talking about? They are copying KPop kaya tumigil ka!
@@troyl8441 you are entitled to your opinion. I am entitled to mine. I did not even mention names. I am not bashing any particular person or artist. It is but hypocrisy to believe that ALL ARTISTS in this country are EXCELLENT! I did not mention any names because I do not intend to bash anyone. If you believe that EVERY ARTIST in this country is EXCELLENT then, stick to that belief. I live in reality not fantasy.
Joot Joot uhuh and to say that they innovate is a lie! They imitate and that is my opinion!
The fact that he thought they were under SM and we know how talented SM artist are makes me so proud to be a filipino

Thank you for the positive feedback to our boys. They are under ShowBT Philippines. They trained for 4 years in the Philippines before debuting. The producer of that song Go Up is the producer of Wanna One, but they (SB19) wrote the lyrics. Also they dont have stylist and makeup artist so each member needs to dress up and put make up by themselves. 💙
PS. Done editing.
SB19 compose their own songs..wrong info Miss.. The Korean producer just produced the song..the rap part was an added feature when they went to korea
@@alhsmarsayago1855 that's what I meant though. I just lack the words to be used. Sorry if my english is bad.
SB19 is trained by a Korean company named ShowBT Philippines. The company's CEO is Robin Geong (I don't know his Korean name). He was a former comedian in your country. SB19 is the first boy idol group in our country. Aside from doing pop, they can also slay ballad songs. Their debut song was "Tilaluha" a very sad ballad song. Go Up is their second single which brought them to fame. They also do covers of K-pop songs. They sing and dance K-pop songs which make them even more famous. They performed IKON, PENTAGON, BIGBANG and BTS songs. It's all over the internet.
Thank you for reacting to our boys. We will keep on watching your contents here in your channel. ☺️

SM here in Philippines is quiet big and a lot of branches all over the Philippines 😅 fact: they only came from a small company and now globally acknowledge. Video reactors are a big help for the group to get known to different countries.
SB19 members choreographed the dance and their leader Sejun/Pablo was the one who wrote this song..It is worth it to stan them..they are also on Billboard top 1. ..
Something new in the Filipino music industry,,, refreshingly interesting... I’m sure a lot of pinoy youngsters are thrilled to have this group... I love that this song is in Tagalog ☺️ they got rhythm too naturally good in dancing I’d say 👌🏼
I won't say something new, we have boybanders even before, it was not invested and marketed well as opposed to the Koreans. They spend big time in production and put on training, because they know that there are a lot more natural born talented out there. Our pinoy artists are more naturally talented I must say, it is just that our music industry does not invest more.
Their under a korean company ShowBT that branch out here in the philippines.

They also did a cover of "Bakit ba ikaw?" A popular Filipino Ballad Song which is trending nowadays because they made the song their own by making a new arrangement and adding the rap part which wasn't included in the original.

SB19 is managed by a Korean entertainment company called ShowBT and is meant to be “a collaboration between Korea and the Philippines.” SB comes from their agency’s name and the 2nd meaning of if means "Sound Break" to break into the music scene here in the Philippines, while 19 is a play on numbers. leader Sejun mentioned that it’s based on the country codes of South Korea and the Philippines. “If you add 8, 2, 6, and 3, it’s 19. And if you subtract 82 and 63, it’s also 19.

SB19 is a Filipino boy band that debuted in 2018, the pentad-consisting of members Pablo, Stell, Ken, Justin, and Josh. They were trained for 4 years by ShowBT Philippines, beginning in 2016
Hello Jonathan 👋
Your friend looks like LEE KEUN SUK😁
im so proud of my boysss💙
The Korean company was so smart enough to have a base in the Philippines, knowing there are so many talented singers and dancers. Some of the boys have already natural talent in dancing even before. In fact, even a short training period Pinoy talents can excel. Plus the fact that, we pinoys can speak better English, there is no need for an "Interpreter"..Let's be honest, Kpop became widespread known at the time when Backstreet, NSync and other boybanders in the USA or even in Europe were fading. The entrance of Kpop was so timely, they do not have anymore mainstream competitors. Westerners were curious of what they have to offer. Only if Philippines were doing the extreme marketing of pinoy artists early on, we could have surpassed the popularity of your Kpoppers long before. Original Pinoy music was ever locally popular since the 70's. In fact, if you search "The Hotdog", "Boyfriends" etc...band groups so popular in the 70's (I was in High school, yes now, I am 62 years old) where they sing "Taglish" very urban and trendy songs. So I must say the Kpop singing of Korean English is not an original idea. The smart idea of Korean in your music industry is that, they train and train to polish. It is like a thing, for example a "black purse" without embellishments looks so dull, but once you put on glitters, chain and marked it "made in Italy" it looks polished, expensive. That is the concept of Korean and how they marketed their manufactured talents. Hair are dyed colorful, expensive production and more visuals because it is a known fact that once their idols on stage, the screaming fans will no longer notice if their idol is bad pitch. Reality check. So you better watch out Kpops, it is our time to shine.
