I am laughing my guts out bro. I spent a year in isan with my girlfriend a similar situation like yours but I live in auntie house for a whole year next door. What an awesome experience that was. Village life in Thailand is nothing unlike many foreigners will experience coming here. I stay literally on a rubber plantation where I was the only black guy. Every one got to know me. Experience of a life time. My relationship is now 2 year strong and this experience really change my life. I suggest you go to visit many temple in the surrounding villages.
