i've never even been to knott's but i've been watching their haunts on youtube for like...at least a decade now, i love how immersive and atmospheric their sets always are. i can't imagine how cool it is to actually experience these firsthand!
Been going to HHN for years and have just been so disappointed lately with wait times/crowd management, lazy black hallways, etc. Finally went to Knott's this year and it delivered! Waited no more than 10 minutes for each maze. Maybe less jumpscares than HHN but a better experience overall.
yea went to universal last week and while I was able to do every maze and ride by 1am without express (bought early entry for 10 bucks), in every maze we were packed with people so I missed a lot of scares as it was all about timing. Im going to knotts this friday and from what I heard and seen so far I think it’s gonna be a much better experience in terms of wait times and maze crowd
@@bvh94117 i think historically those days aren’t too crowded so u should be good also it feels like this year in general is way less crowded than last year I haven’t seen a single wait over 2 hours yet where last year we were seeing mazes like chucky often over 3 hours
Knott’s always delivers with the details and scare actors. These sets are amazing. Never been, but the Cinema Slasher is my favorite. I also really enjoyed the Eight Fingers Nine maze. They’re all good, though!
Why is it that Knotts always knocks it out of the park with set design and concepts, but not quite on scares? I get that there are many different ways of scaring people, but why does it always seem like there's no tension or intensity in these mazes, even when the actors are doing their best? If Knotts took even a fraction of HHN's scare tactics, I would gladly pick it over HHN.
i agree, but i think knott’s takes more of an aesthetic approach and more in character acting rather than just jumping out, i think if they mixed both together it would be bomb
Went yesterday September 21st general admission, went on all mazes (also doubled origins and widows) and 3 rides all wait times were 5-15 min no need for express
At night these mazes are 10 times better, its just dim enough to whats going on but dark enough to not let you see the full picture. My favorite was deffinetly room 13 and the hanging bodies you have to move out if the way to progress was the best part.
Ppl are saying HHN jump scares are better in the comments, if you go in person Knotts is a lot more intelligent. Theres no flashing lights to warn you. The actors get creative and it gets really scary when theyre on wires and cables like in Bloodlines
Widows is easily my favorite for this year! I'm sad to see Wax Works gone, but for all we know, there will be a tribute to it if they bring back The Chilling Room next year =D
It's an ode to KSF past mazes and zones. They unfortunately weren't able to bring back the Keeper they had for the 50th- who really helped guide the guests through each "chamber" (rumor is they couldn't get the likeness liscence- no idea if that as anyweight)
@@Tibbers12 oh really? I couldn’t make out what she said. I do know some of the actors are mean/rude sometimes but they do it in jest. In a joking manner. This didnt seem like anything besides that maybe? But again i dont know what she said… if she just straight up said “you shouldnt be filming” then yeah that’s kinda lame :/
@@kriskater that’s what it sounded like and I mean, I kind of agree. If folks don’t have strict permission to do so, they really shouldn’t be filming. It’s like someone filming a comedian’s act. The act doesn’t change so if you’ve already seen it, you’ll ruin it.

I love how much effort knotts puts into their mazes the set designs are incredible
I am really impressed with these sets. The production values are awesome. Really good scares. Loved the wax museum.

@@bvh94117 i went on a Thursday i think as long as u don’t go on Friday or Saturday u should be fine

Those set pieces are truly incredible
RIP to Wax Works, one of the best houses ever
Aw, is this it's last year? It's the best haunted house I've ever done. The scariest and most well themed imo
And bloodline

Completely agree. To me, this is how HHN still remains king, but it's separated by a hair.
i agree, but i think knott’s takes more of an aesthetic approach and more in character acting rather than just jumping out, i think if they mixed both together it would be bomb
i also think it’s media weekend with LOTS of people and people recording so i feel like they might tone it down a bit maybe?
“A fraction of HHN’s scare tactics…” You mean: a pop out scare with a loud noise and strobe 80 billion times in a row?
@@supadead I would take that over 5-10 minutes of almost nothing happening
The cinema slasher one was impressive!

If mazes are a low wait, it’s because everyone else wait for roller coasters
Bro this guy is the best
I feel like some of the house names didn't fit the house at all lol. Great sets for all of these! The Cinema Slasher house was GREAT.
Great video, thank you.
Wow, the visuals at 9:30 were stunning! 🌟 How do you feel about the role of visuals in horror storytelling?
I just went here last night and I cried, I was so scared. I hope I made the actors nights by screaming like a banshee.😅

The best haunted mazes ever made
The quality of knotts scary farm mazes make you feel like youre on a movie set. HHN doesnt even come close and its a movie company 😂
Ppl are saying HHN jump scares are better in the comments, if you go in person Knotts is a lot more intelligent. Theres no flashing lights to warn you. The actors get creative and it gets really scary when theyre on wires and cables like in Bloodlines
All of these are so cool, but I now desperately need a comedy horror movie about Widows. XD
Honey, call the exterminator,we got spider demons again!

Why was the first maze so bright?
Knotts took it this year over HNN.
