I could be his daughter or even granddaughter but I consider him one of the handsomest man on Earth. Not only his physical beauty but also his huge elegance and style!!!😚
@@Cashcash69 Why is that relevant to her thinking that he is a very handsome man? Do I have to be the same age as Alain Delon in order to have such an opinion?
This is was the first Ripley’s project ever and the best version of the character. Love the iconic performance by Alain Delon and the great direction by René Clément, the filming style is so amazing. True masterpiece.
I watched this movie back in Cuba a few times at Alameda movie theater in Havana. In Spanish the movie titles was "A Pleno Sol" (or "Plein Soleil" in French) which a closer title to its French title than "Purple Noon".
well they both require the same amount of attention to detail and perfection - you can't release a work of art if there's something missing from it or it hasn't come out right, likewise you can't submit a piece of forgery if there's even the tiniest mistake
I've always get fascinated by scenes like this showing characters methodically taking on a task in order to achieve a goal. It displays the intricate maneuvers of a particular mindset.
God this man is ten times more sinister than The US Tom Ripley, when he's doing what he's doing, it reminds me of Rooney Mara who played Lisbeth Salander in the US Version of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, she did the same thing faking a passport and embezzling funds from a Bank from a Corporate Thief. Also with the Graphics and stuff it reminds me of another Book that Patricia Highsmith did called Small G about a Man named Rickie Markwalder who is living in Berlin Germany's Gay Village who is a Graphic Designer. Also as many of you know Rooney played Therese Belivet in The Price Of Salt/Carol.
@@averagestudent8553 I believe that was modeling clay which he soaked in water so that he can obtain a proper impression of the American Customs insignia stamp so that it may be pressed decently onto his own photo. Afterwards, he can insert it into the passport so that no one would suspect he's an imposter.
Well, in all honesty, the two best actors to portray Patricia Highsmith's slick eponymous antagonist were Alain Delon and Matt Damon. They were respectful to the source material. The worst was Andrew Scott. He's was too old to play Tom Ripley for the Netflix miniseries. Furthermore, the miniseries didn't treat the source material with enough reverence. Skip it. Not worth watching.

En effet. Il n'avait que 24 ans.
Delon plays the character as a literal con artist, as if he's turning forgery into an art form.

I love how involved they are with props. Some actors today seem to have a hard time with props. Or rather props that aren't weapons.
I made a mistake. Small G took place in Switzerland.
