    Ally, you really are an excellent teacher. I have been involved in desktop publishing since the 70s and have used a lot of different machines and software so unlike newbies, I can say with authority that Affinity Publisher is a superb program and you are the one who breathes life into it.

    Excellent video! Had many problems with page numbers in Word (They wouldn't do what I told them to do!). Looks like Affinity will make page numbering and sections much easier.

      Affinity Publisher does a much better job with page numbering than Word. Word can be pretty frustrating for doing things much more complicated than typing up simple documents... 😬

    Thanks! Another method would be to create another Master page without page numbers, and apply it on the first few pages you don't want to have page numbers; the numbers will disappear. Then use Section Manager to adjust page numbering as usual on the rest of the pages. At least that's how I did it. 😊

      @@AffinityRevolution This is true as well. Great videos by the way. I have a question since it seems you actually interact with your audience. Do you have a video explaining if it is possible to combine curve shapes. I don't know how to do it. I am experiencing a learning curve.

    • @citizen85
      @citizen85 3 роки тому

      @@AffinityRevolution Actually, what I want to know is: If I make, as an example, an outline of a person using the pen tool, then add details with the pen tool using individual curve lines or the sculpt tool to add the details, is there a way to combine those individual lines with the whole of the curve outline and then be able to use a solid fill while keeping the line details visible (as if the color was underneath the whole thing. Or, if I make a have using the pen tool, how do I combine the curve shapes to make a solid shape in a specific order, (i.e. raised brim in front of cap) or are all these things just done as pieces?

    • @AffinityRevolution
      @AffinityRevolution  3 роки тому

      @@citizen85 You could put all the curve layers into a group, and then place a fill layer in that group. That would change all of their colors at once. 🙂

    Hi. Is it possible to add page numbers on the right page only with a continuous number? I tried it but it shows odd numbers. I want no page number on the left page

    • @AffinityRevolution
      @AffinityRevolution  4 роки тому

      When you're starting a new document, change the "Start On" setting to "Left". Then in the document, place your page number box just on the right side, on your master template. Then you'll only have even page numbers on the right side. 😊
