- In this video we introduce you to the BlueROV2 R4 and show off some of its updated features! The latest revision comes with our Navigator Flight Controller, locking enclosures, and is available with a 300 meter (985 ft) depth rating!
The BlueROV2 is a remotely operated underwater vehicle with a camera, lighting, and thrusters, that allows you to explore, inspect, and study things underwater.

Very interesting thanks. Any particular reason why you went RaspPi instead of Pixhawk? Also - many of us are waiting for stabilised 4K video so an option for GoPro 10 would be nice. Video lights need to be positioned so as to prevent backscatter from particulates in the water. Great price point! THANKS.
We already had a Raspberry Pi onboard to handle the Ethernet communications and camera, which a Pixhawk can't do, so it makes sense to consolidate the flight controller to also be part of the Raspberry Pi. Good to know you're interested in a 4K camera. That's something we're looking into. Thanks!
Is it possible to change an old system Pixhawk+raspi3 to the new system raspi 4 ?
Hi Devis, yes, absolutely! We'll have a guide on how to do this soon.
Don't the ESCs need to be cooled?
The ESCs radiate heat and the enclosure stays cool due to the water around it, so cooling is sufficient. In normal ROV operation, the thrusters are running at pretty low power on average and it works well!

Been strugleing with your equipment for weeks now and I haven't gotten help in anyway on your operating system your supplier has been postponing meetings so I am very dissapointed in this product

Not a reliable ROV. TOO MANY ISSUES . HAVE TO CONSTANTLY MONITOR IP ADDRESS, LAN PLUS IT HAS VACUUM ISSUES. CPULDNT EVEN GET THE SEAL IN THE BULK HEAD CONNECTORS RIGHT. ALL THE LEAKS ARE FROM THE BULKHEAD CONNECTORS EITHER ON THE EPOD OR BATTERY POD. YOU GUYS NEED SOME SERIOUS EXPERIENCE ON REAL ROVS PERHAPS THEN YOU WOULD BUILD A PROPER ROV
