Peetike by Divyashree k Nayak

A beautiful Chende peetike by Ms Divyashree K Nayak. Divyashreee K Nayak one of the eminent chende performer in South kendra. In Coastal Karnataka there are two forms in Yakshagana named as "Tenku tittu" and "Badagu tittu". She plays tenkutittu chende. Its a percussion instrument mainly used in Yakshagana. the present video is called "peetike" means beginning of Yakshagana.

I am writing this from the USA. Looks like this was happening in my area. I am from Mangalore. I used to commute Through Bala to go to Govinda Dasa college in Surathkal.
