Great thoughts Miss Moon. I met my Chinese wife online on a program called ICQ. I actually met 4 different girls on that program. All Chinese but she was the one got a visa and visited me within a few months. We would see each other twice a year. She would come visit me then I would go to Taiwan and visit her. Everyone told me all she wanted was money but she had more money than me. We online dated for 7 years before we decided to get married. No regrets but I would be very careful these days because of all the fakes and scammers out there. Your experience was interesting.
Jo, your English is not shitty at all! Maybe even better than some English speaking people. IMO, I believe the online dating scene is overwhelmed with scams as its turned into a business for income vs actual dating. Easy money. That beautiful "woman" (man) hooks into the other party who may be blinded by the profiles beauty and attention and sends money until he's dead ass broke, then they move on to another victim. I just watched a video documentary on this. Nice video Jo. We all love you! ❤️
Ohh i was enjoying this video 😂 the end just.. no goodbye or nothing haha just end so sudden, i guess theres a time limit. Anyways i think you are right that people who dont do video call are stupid 😂 its basically common sense? You do speak great English! Honestly, you are a very likable person, you talk honestly and straight to the point. I like that. I hope im lucky enough to become a friend 😂 il video call you anytime ehehe 😂❤
Jo, you are brilliant, I understand that people are lonely and in desperate need of affection, but like you say, be careful, online date with your head, and only in person you can give your heart. My spouse and I met the old fashioned way, she is Chinese and I am from Uruguay, met and live in Toronto. We are both into our 50's and just a few years away from early retirement, planning to live 6 months in Harbin and 6 months in Toronto. You show is amazing Congratulations
Great tips! A factor I believe that makes meeting people naturally difficult now is that everyone is completely locked into their phones, never even looking up to talk to the people around them. I tried online dating for a short time but found that it was completely saturated with scammers. For a short time it was amusing stringing them along (as soon as it became obvious they were scamming), but even that got boring. Fortunately not worrying about that for now, recently met a great girl (from China but had already immigrated here a few years ago).
So true! I like the technology in that it opens up possibilities for more natural interaction with computer systems, however the potential for misuse and abuse is astronomical. So much so that I think without some sort of way to safeguard against deep fakes and just general scamming, the risks currently outweighs any potential benefits. Unfortunately the genie is out of the bottle.
Right now, society is sick.....we spent too much time stuck in our homes during the pandemic. I used to enjoy online dating but now everyone is a bot or a scammer. I'm starting to just go out in real life and meet people. It needs to happen organically. We're going to end up like that cyber punk video game if we don't figure something out lol.
Your English is quite good, Jo Jo. I am from Alabama and I have zero problem understanding you. There are locals here that do not speak as well as you do. Thanks for your content, I find it all interesting and I love your sense of humor. I often find myself clapping and laughing. Regards from the Heart of Dixie!
I have "met" a Chinese woman on a dating site. By your definition, we have not dated but I feel confident that she is real. Her profile pictures and many of the pictures she has shared are of her younger self, but I suppose I understand that. We are planning for her to visit as soon as she can secure a visa. So I suppose I should report back in a few months to tell you whether or not my "online dating" experience actually worked. Interesting video and, IMO, well worth listening to. Thank you.
First thing is a 10 minute plus video call, when you do a video call make sure they move around themselves and the camera/phone. It is quite easy to fake a static headshot video now.
His loss Jo , it’s easy to meet someone but hard to find someone compatible. Good thing you had the emotional intelligence not to invest your time . Online dating can work if you are very lucky. Generally it’s a scam and only getting worse with advances in AI.
Online dating can work and I know people who have got married off of it. BUT It is fundamentally no different than normal dating, except for the distance. You won't meet higher-quality people there and the norms won't be any better - ghosting is still a thing and people are ruthless.
Hallo JoJo, thank you for your Video. :) I find online dating normal these days. When I compare how my parents and grandparents got to know each other, it was a completely different world. haha I have a dog and I take her for walks a lot, do you think I'll meet someone? No of course not. And yes, make a video call and do it as often as possible. I also met my ex girlfriend on the internet and we chatted and talked on the phone every day and then she moved near me. Well, we speak the same language and it's different when the other speaks a foreign language. It complicates things, but you can do it if you try. The subject of "fake" yes that's interesting mostly guys who are in India or in Africa.. I saw a documentary about it and it's terrible some took their own lives because they lost everything. Take care and see you, greetings from Germany
I have met a Chinese woman from Hangzhou. We’ve dated about ten times. No sex. But, very sexual moments at my house. She returns next week. She has kid (18) that she supports here in US. She would be very happy to marry again! I would estimate her age 40’s and my age 50’s. We’ve known each other about one year
I am talking to a chinese woman for 3 days now, we made 2 video calls for like 1 minute or so just to see ourselves, but I still have doubts if she's real hahaha she added me out of nothing on instagram and she is gorgeous... even though I have seen her on video call, I'm afraid of AI changing her face. I don't know what to do because we talked so much and the talk was very good, but I still have trust issues with it.
Iam gonna go over to shanghai this year. But l have had women who wants to merry me.l do wounder why.But one of them said she would come over. But she hasent yet.So l will go to China for a holiday.
Thank you for this content. I was considering Thailand and Philippines, but then out of curiosity I expanded my search to China. So far all are too good to be true. They perhaps see Americans as naive dummies 😂
My issue is when I meet someone Chinese online, they always want to go to Whatsapp and begin talking about Crypto.....where do I find legit Chinese women online?
These are sometimes amusing to string along and see how much of their time you can waste. Every minute they spend on you is potentially saving someone who would fall prey to such a scam…. Just try to make sure they are a real scammer and not just a bot.
@@alexharrison2024 yep. That is a good scammer confirmation. They try to take you off platform, ask “What about WeChat”…. When you get a bewildered response you know not only are you dealing with a man but they aren’t even Chinese.
Hi Jo Is Asia Charm Dating site a scam ? What do you think ? You spend $1000 US and they give you their phone number or email but then leave you. They end up back on the Asian Charm dating site. Her photos are 12 years old and she is widowed now and 42 but will not do face to face video calls. I think it is a big scam.... What do you think Miss Moon ??? Regards David 64 years old from New South Wales Australia 🇦🇺
If the profile is of a very beautiful woman just remember what percentage of women are that level? Not many. Even above average women are not that common. Last time I looked at a dating App. most of the women were below average and many were overweight.
I owe you…you saved me a lot of grief with catfish women online.

Lots of good advice there!
in other words, if you are going to use on line dating, try to use your brain. good advice for people who just jump into things.

@@JoMoon Ooo, yes right my mistake 😅😂🙈sorry
In my industry I deal with the victims of both men and women who fall for internet relationships
