The Periplus of the Erythraean Sea: Travel and Trade in the Indian Ocean by a Merchant of the First Century 33. Beyond the harbor of Moscha (muscat) for about fifteen hundred stadia as far as Asich, a mountain range runs along the shore; at the end of which, in a row, lie seven islands, called Zenobian( khasab islands).
Hello Laura, no I don't remember the name, it was one of the fishing / cruise agencies in town. We didn't book in advance, just walked in that morning or maybe the night before (it was the first weekend of December and it was very easy to find a spot - as you can see there weren't many people on the boat). We were able to negotiate about 25% off the given price. But the boats are independent, so several different agencies bring their clients to the same boat and pay the captain directly. You may try to go straight to the captain and avoid the agency fees - but the boat crew often doesn't speak any English so try that only if you can communicate a little in Arabic.
