Last year was un csk like for me. No stability in the top 4, kabhi rahane open kr rha, kabhi rachin, kabhi rutu 3 pr. It was very unpleasant and we had disastrous powerplays. I think with the coming back of Conway, it will be stabilised. And I think last season that was the big reason for us to not qualify. Csk's success has always revolved around solid opening partnership, may not be the most explosive pair but both solid players who will consistently score runs. I think that's going to work this time
great analysis , quite precise : the other issues were lack of fire power in middle orders , it would be interesting to see how Vijay Shankar/Deepak Hooda plays out in middle , CSK should promote Sam curran over jadeja to accelerate , another failure reason lack of quality fast bowling , pathirana and deshpande were good at death but Nathan Ellis excellent addition for fast pitches can play over noor in such conditions , Sam curran also add depth to bowling , can open up bowling , bowl well in death also khaleel's bowl can grip; Sam curran best buy of this IPL for me. Now it would be intresting to see how pitch plays and how CSK play away games , if i remember correctly they only won 2/3 away games where batting supporting pitches were made. even chepauk wicket has changed they really need slow and gripping wicket at home this year.

Hi Ashwin it'd be great if you can make a short on bowling a good slider. Here's what I observed As per the wrist position, slider can go straight or have slight leg spin. In shane warne's sliders there's a bit of deviation (leg spin). For finger spinners, sliders mostly don't have any spin. All sliders slow down after they pitch which is because of back spin. The vouce also very very slightly varies depending on the speed.

Hi Ashwin it'd be great if you can make a short on bowling a good slider. Here's what I observed
As per the wrist position, slider can go straight or have slight leg spin. In shane warne's sliders there's a bit of deviation (leg spin). For finger spinners, sliders mostly don't have any spin.
All sliders slow down after they pitch which is because of back spin. The vouce also very very slightly varies depending on the speed.
