@@Mood_Slime11 Awesome job! Are you able to construct a wand (w/ hose), and Afterlife sound effects that's compatible with the Hasbro pack?? IF so, how much?
Love the pack I have a proton pack too but I attached a hasbro proton blaster mod gun on it and my pack is the Spirit Halloween proton pack and modified it 😎
I'm HEAVILY modifying my Spirit life-size pack right now! I've replaced the booster tube, HGA, and the injectors with the aluminum parts off GBfans. A friend has modeled and printed a new removable cyclotron cover and bumper for me! Eventually, I'll have him print the guts for me, but right now I just want the outside looking as close to real as I can. I'm waiting, with bated breath and fingers crossed, for an aluminum motherboard from BenofKent, but he's so flaky I may not get it. If not, I've got a source for a sheet of aluminum that I'll just cut myself. Probably should have done that anyway. Still don't know what I'm going to do for electronics. Need something that will work with the Hasbro wand and give me smoke.
Sweetness!!! Great work!! I'm a solid year into my Spengler afterlife pack, and i couldn't be more happy. You've done a straight up ass kicking job on that Venkman 84 pack!!! Great kit used as well!!! 👍👍
@@Mood_Slime11thank you!! LoL I've got a UA-cam channel, Beckx Specx warnings my camera work is not the best 😅 my pack is a haslab fyi. Would be honored if you'd watch 😊.
Absolutely great details! Awesome! Have a question. You said that's a ninja tunes kit. How do you wire it, that the "stand by on", is on the hat light of the wand. Would like to rebuild it. I have the same kit😊
@fabianangermueller6015 I never had an option to not put the stand by light on, unfortunately. I wish I did because it's not accurate to the 80s packs.
it was built using the same method as the packs in the 80s the front handle is on a swivel. the barrel assembly is attached to the grips and the grip swivel comes out from the front of the gun body.
Did you make the copper rods for the ion arm end cap yourself? Just wondering if there are premade ones. I have the GBFans end cap myself & would love to swap out the rods.
@joeyvfx_official Thanks for watching. Yes, the copper rods were custom-made. The gbfans ones are great, but they ate a shiny brass, and that's not what was used. Ordered the copper online and just cut and weathered.
Great summary. Thanks for sharing. Regarding the motherboard: you went over the foam, but where did you source the actual metal motherboard to fit the Mack's Legacy shell? I'm dying to get one for my Mack's Legacy shell, too. Thanks in advance.
Thank you so much for watching. So the thing with the mother board is they aren't available. I got the measurements from gbfans, took them to a metal fabricator, and just had them cut one to size.
Got it. Thank you,@@Mood_Slime11! Did you have them create the brackets to attach the shell, too? Or a housing mount for the cyclotron lights? Thanks again and bravo to you and those who helped to create this pack.
@adhudak The mounting brackets are from gbfans, and then pop rivets were used to secure in place. The mount for the lights and speaker on the cyclotron was a custom piece.
This is extremely accurate to the 84 film. all the parts on it are the same as 84. The parts are extremely hard to find and expensive. The movie pack is probably worth a few million now.
Dude you said you are scared to take it out because it looks so good 😂 bro it's a toy prop you spent all that money on it enjoy it ya know. Unless it actually shots a real proton beam from it it's just a shell With metal parts on it with lights. Have fun with it take it out let ppl see it. Enjoy your investment it looks very nice
The texture is something that I could look at forever. It really has the look of the superhero!
Thank you very much
@@Mood_Slime11 what paint did you use?
@@skandto The paint is Dupli-color automotive paint. a satin black was used with a very light gloss finish. Thanks for watching!

@liltd87 Sorry, while I own a haslab, it's just a display piece. I don't do any mods with it.
It’s Saturday morning and I take my doses of such a beautiful piece

@@Mood_Slime11 yes! I've got a small UA-cam channel all about my pack. Beckx-specx
This thing is freaking sweet. The amount of detail that was put into this pack is simply amazing!
Thank you so much. That means a lot. It took so much time and a lot of hours of discussion over reference material.
@@Mood_Slime11 well you nailed it 100%. This is a great replica to Bill Murray’s GB1 pack.
Great pack absolutely stunning. Just finished my own and I know the work that goes into building these things

I love this so much! I would love to have my own!

Beautiful pack, love the attention to detail. You gotta drop a name of the schmuck at the beginning of the video 😉
Thank you very much. Names Rhett Martin goes by Stantzindustries on etsy. He's a pathological liar and a thief
Simply amazing. What size zip ties are on the ribbon cable?
@@thedude2897 3.6mm width
155mm length Same as used in the film. These were found on a hardware store website.

Thanks. Hope you enjoy. I have more content on my page!
i want one so bad
Macks factory is running crazy discounts on shells right now!
how do you get the grip on the wand to move around and swivel?
it was built using the same method as the packs in the 80s the front handle is on a swivel. the barrel assembly is attached to the grips and the grip swivel comes out from the front of the gun body.
You think you could tell me what stand you used for the pack
It's an amplifier stand. You can find them on Amazon pretty cheap.

The 84 packs are the best imo.i hate the new weathered ones I love the original black new look
I think the original packs are the best as well.
Is this like accurate to the movie? How much did the movie one cost? Is it harf finding all the little old industrial pieces used in the 80s?
