Oh man this guy deserves a bigger like.. i was so frustrated before and did turn off couple off times and nothing worked and the funny part was i had no idea of restarting.. after watching this video i did a restart and damn all network came up. @@tehfriedwaffles Try cleaning the SIM card with microfiber cloth. This also worked temporarily for me
I got a new sim card of same number it happened again

How can we go to sim setting when the problem is the device being unable to read/detect sim? Setting is not available for sim if the device doesn't detect sim in first place. My problem is my device sim slot is working and so is my sim but the device doesn't detect the sim, idk why but i don't think anyone would have solution for this

Putting tape over the sim card (to keep it in tighter contact with the phone) fixed the problem for me personally
I slid a piece of cardboard on top of the sim card - it worked on my Alcatel Pixi3 (old phone).

I don't know if it's normal or not but when I put one sim in the second port, the mobile doesn't recognize either of the two SIM cards I put in but when both SIM cards are in they are both recognized. But in the first port, whatever SIM card I insert is recognized by the mobile phone, that is, only in the second port if I insert only one card, none is recognized.
I have a Google pixel 3, it happened with the other pixel I had too, (I dropped that one so I got a new one), I have a sim card in the phone, then when I go to activate my phone it says something about can't activate it. I've just been living with it so idk what it is but does anyone have ideas

Moto g7 power. I changed my pcb / charger board. Infact I have tried three different new ones. I get no signal/ sim card not detected. I put the bad / original board back in amd I regain signal ????.
how does restarting my phone now work. I did it like 10 time yesterday. nvm it just popped out saying its not inserted
I have been struggling with it for a couple of months. I just solved it by pulling the tray out, cutting a piece of paper the same size, and shoving them down together. It is now connected

To be honest, I have tried all of this other than the factory reset before, but nothing worked and I cannot try it again now since that phone is “taking a holiday” with the lcd ribbon, but in my case the SIM cards were detected on both slots, but they cannot work (the icons show an “X” over the “stairs of network line”)
My LCD was defected in my Samsung Android. Was it necessary to remove my sim card for repairing neccessary?
Legend! sim car was turned off for some reason... (I flew recently, and there may have been a software update too?)
But this video had me working again after 40 seconds. (I'd already done several restarts.)

Restart used to work. Then all of the sudden nothing will work. Full factory reset did nothing. Sim works in other devices still so idk.

By problem started when I left my phone📱in airplane ✈ to avoid aciddental data use. When I turned off airplane ✈ to see if my new month of data was available I got the message no network detected. Maybe the problem occurred because my phone 📱 was in airplane ✈ mode when my new month of service started.
It worked thank you! Had to align my sim with the little gold stuff 😊 simple fix. Now my sim reads.
It's so stupid that we buy the latest android with problems that an older android did not have.
What is the issue if my Sumsung s7 edge mobile data failed to detect the sum card intermitten ly.sometime it connects but sometime it disconnect .is this software or hardware issue? How to fix it. Thanks
It is likely that the reader is no good. The price to replace the reader on a Samsung Galaxy S7 edge is about $80. Probably not worth doing it.
My phone dropped and my sim card doesn't work anymore. But tried using my sim in other phones and it works. Viseversa I used my friends sim card on my phone and works fine.
At this point I'll order a replacemnt. I don't get it

I tried remove and reinstall and restart my phone make it worse I own a 1+ 7pro
I got oneplus 7T. I started getting problem when i accidently slammed phone in car door. Was tired of using cheap pos stylo 4 so i randomly tried putting sim back i. The 1+7t... It works now, but is spotty... I manually typed in the APNs, called it s bag of bitches, cleaned the sim port with pointy q tips with 99 iso alcohol and air, and went dow. To t mobile to get a new sim card. Also ordered a dual sim card tray offline.. Even tho t mobile version only supports one sim, it has the fingers on both sides so its capable of using either side. Now my phone works great again! Not sure exactly what worked, but since we have same phone pretty much, hopefully i steered you in the right direction.

No sim card detected could mean 3 things your sim card is damaged or your sim card slot is damaged or there is no sim card inserted to your phone
i have a huge fear of devices like this so my phone is doing this and im so scared
I have a Google Pixel 4 and this started happening recently. I figured it was a sim card error so i bought a new sim card and set it up. My problem was fixed now a month later it's happening again. Could it be my phone? I don't know why it's happening with a new sim card

This video and others like it are a clear and perfect example why the multiple versions of Android in the wild with the multitude of variations of settings create a nightmare for users and support providers. THIS kind of thing is why Apple keeps a closed garden approach. Like or lump it. iOS support is vastly superior.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S21. I put a tiny strip of office tape folded over itself beneath the sim card in the tray (which i think is warped) and it reads my sim card now
