Any advice for getting internships in law offices while in undergrad?

A lot of law offices don't want undergrads as summer interns, since law school students do summer internship-like stints at law offices, and have more training. But, if you'd really like to pursue that option, you can see if you can volunteer at local law clinics or law offices in the off-season, or get internships at other organizations that will help prepare you for law school. It also depends a bit on what you want the internship for -- to get into law school? Business school? Or just to see if you'd like being a lawyer? Because the life of a lawyer and a law office intern are very different.

Crimson Education Thank you for the response. I meant an internship/job which serves as a resume booster/gauge on whether or not I’d enjoy being a lawyer. But it makes sense that law offices/firms would prefer actual law students. Is there particular jobs that look especially impressive to law schools?

Personal relationships are everything. Befriend your career counselor, if your are sincere, eventually they will connect u to someone in law with an unpaid internship to offer..

John Zarcone to be honest every internship can be written in a way that is appealing to law schools. If your numbers are golden, you can be selling hot dogs and they love u. If your numbers are not so desirable, you can be interning at a top 3 bank and still get rejected...

Left out the part about Chinese growing influence at Fordham (just how pervasive it's become). China's been using so-called "partnership" collaborations to dictate policy at an increasing number of colleges around the world. Began with Australian colleges, but it's now become a real problem in the US. You need only read Fordham's recent response to student body discord to gauge the extent to which the school's independence has been undermined.
Fordham might've been one of the first US colleges to sell-out to foreign interests, but it was only a spring-board. China's since gone on to pursue lots of our other institutions.
