    Your photographs are absolutely beautiful. And your footage is spectacular. I fell in love with Svalbard and Cecilia Blomdahl. With her partner Christoffer and their fur baby Grim. I followed her because of Sailing La Vagabonde. I'm a new subscriber. And I'm excited to share you. Hugs from Texas 😎

    It is so sad to see these bears always looking for a meal to survive. Not realizing that humans are destroying their habitat which they have no control over. Watching this was awesome and thank you for sharing. Stay safe, warm, and blessings.

      It’s so annoying that every time you want to just enjoy some nature, somebody ALWAYS has to bring up the environment, or animals becoming extinct, or humans suck, or trees burning, or garbage in the water, or hunting, or fish dying, or people living, or just fucking having to spoil the fun with CONSTANTLY CRYING AND BITCHING about SOME damn thing. Give it a damn rest!

      Polar bears are moving south, learning to survive by finding new prey and mating with grizzly bears. Humans are included as part of their diet. So, save your tears.

    🇨🇦 Hello from Ontario Canada. Wow that male polar bear is one huge, massive beast. They are so so beautiful, but so dangerous. The size of him took my breath away! It sure is nice to see how healthy some of them are because I've also seen some that are very malnurished!! This is due to climate change that everyone just keeps turning their heads and prefer not to think about! What about our children and their grandchildren. We have done this and history will say so if there's a time! Wow what an awful situation our generation have left for our families to have to live through.

      poppycock polar bears are not endangered they have no predators so if they get injured or sick they can’t hunt and slowly starve to death nature is cruel no retirement homes for polar bears.

    • @volcommerce
      @volcommerce Рік тому +1

      Sources say the polar bears and losing their habitat due to melting ice caps. Rising sea levels are causing young Polar bears to forget how to swim. We need to send a team of lifeguards to the arctic regions to teach the polar bears how to swim. When they drown, it causes SADS, fainting and neurological problems in humans, it's like the butterfly effect.

    • @LouieBeethoven
      @LouieBeethoven 11 місяців тому

      Evolution is an ongoing process. Even as we mourn, polar bears are moving south and learning to adapt - hunting elk and other land mammals, including humans. As a result of their movement south, polar bears are mating with grizzlies - and quite possibly black bears - and will survive. Sad that the same can't be said for humans.

    I'm so envy. Would have loved to have these photo and film opportunities. I don't think that female whalros get that long tusks. It must have been a male with cup :)

    Walrus babies are called “calves.” Use the word “cub” when you talk about any one of a number of meat-eating mammal babies: lions, bears, leopards, etc.

    we are going in Aug. Hope to see a PB. That great song is not on Spotify. How did you download it? I see it on UA-cam but that doesn't help.

    • @geirhelland
      @geirhelland  Рік тому +1

      When I'm logged into UA-cam and click on my picture in the top right, I can choose UA-cam Studio. In UA-cam Studio, I find "Sound library" at the bottom of the menu on the left. In this library I find soundtracks that I can use. When I mark a title, I get "Download" on the far right.

    Ah, this seems clever. While I understand that you would go on such a trip, and I'd do it too without any questions, but having been to Svalbard a couple of times myself I also know that the Governor doesn't appreciate it when you seek out the polar bears like this. In fact, it is illegal to seek them out with this purpose.
