I also haven't seen my family in 2 years and papa Choi reminded me so much of my own daddy (he is in heaven now) but we were super close as well, and I'd love a chance to hang out with him again :( New York looks sooo pretty during Christmas, definitely at the top of my list of places to visit once traveling is back to normal. I cried with you at the part about Kiwi. We found out she passed officially while at family breakfast at IHOP and my sister and I were just bawling in the middle of the diner the entire time and for months after I kept thinking I saw her shadow around me, because my family would call our pet, Tucci, my own personal shadow. She would follow me everywhere even to the bathroom and when I had to leave she would just jump into the drivers seat and not let me go. Ugh i'm crying again... Thank you for sharing these vulnerable moments with us.
