Marc Hunter turns a heavenly 70 years old on Sept 7th. I recently sat at his grave in Gerringong NSW and played some of his songs for him. RIP and happy birthday on the 7th Marc. Loved and missed by your fans ❤

class acts, saw them in the early 80's and continued to follow them around, till just a few short weeks back here in Wynnum Manly Qld, everyone danced, everyone sang and we had a bloody great time, hoo ha, we love you. xxx
I went to Marc’s grave yesterday and paid my respects. I was lucky to see Dragon in their prime on several occasions. Thanks so much Marc, Neil and Paul. What a great band
Such a heartfelt speech Todd. Marc.... you should have been up there too..... you made Dragon what they were then and what they still are today! Miss you madly! ❤
It was an absolute delight to watch this on You Tube. Thanks to whoever filmed it & whoever loaded this onto UA-cam. And it was so nice to hear those heart-felt words from Todd about Marc...Marc was being himself & obviously so at home singing on stage. However, as Todd pointed out...perhaps he didn't realize how much his antics and cheeky style actually endeared him to so many of us.
Well after reading comments I just want to say How BLOODY AMAZING THE BAND WAS/IS today. Ýou music has carried us through life, given so much joy and good times I struggle to count. Reign on Guys and Thankyou from my heart. Kiwi Chic NZ
Yes, It was sad when that happened but imagine how sad he would have been if he lived and never been able to sing again…it would have broken his heart…
I missed this ..well done ❤️💯🤙...but in a way ...thanks to UA-cam can see this ...well... didn't know that Robert Taylor & Kerry Jacobson was still alive...(when this aria was on) ... congratulations 🙂🙃 😔💔 RIP Marc ....what an awesome voice...😥 great talent and great music... thankyou 😊
Great speech by Todd, those days supporting Dragon at the Life Saver were pretty wild indeed. I wished a had made closer friendships with these guys back in our touring days but they were pretty WILD and I was a tad awestruck. Miss those days, miss Ross Hunter, he used to be our lighting guy and I spent many a day with him in the band truck eating PIE n PEAS, he loved em... and of course miss Mark and his Charisma, and the wild after gig parties we had at Macy's in Melbs. lol
Its an absolute travesty Dragon is an unknown in NZ. I mean, we all know the songs but most wouldn't have a clue they are Kiwi boys. With the absolute garbage that is coming out these days, I'm proud to say I'm a fan.
MY ISLAND HOME OF LEMURIA.....TINY HAS REQUESTED, MW TO SPEAK. NOW 📦 MOMENT. OUR TODD, IS THIS ACCEPTABLE? IF NO. I WILL NOT....... THINK TIME GRANTED. PLUS, YO, HANDOME RICHARD. GIGGLE
richard wilkens ruined this. imagine spending 30 years in music going from the absolute bottom to the top only to be rewarded with a hall of fame spot recognising your journey & then being inducted by richard wilkens. eww
I love Richard Wilkins and I thought most people did. May I ask, what about him irritates you? Genuine question, I find it interesting, all being unique individual God bodies/spirits/angelic...
Overrated big time - it says at their peak no one could touch them. In the early 80s Id never heard of them. They were getting smoked by the likes of the Fixx, Duran Duran, Stranglers, Talking heads, Pretenders, just to name a few. Such a non-significant band from NZ, nowhere near as big as they are projected to be.
Untouchable in nz and Australia at some point of their early career, and we had killer bands owning the pub scene here already, not world wide, and they had a unique sound and style that no one could match, stupid comment
What a beautiful, heartfelt speech.
Wow....incredibly classy speech. What a gentleman Todd Hunter is.
What a great big brother...you saved Marc by firing him😢😘Thank you for the music Dragon💕
Marc needed to be fired…he was erratic and they knew it was the only way…they also needed to split up to save themselves…
