I don't show headrests on the 1963 option list. You are correct they are available in 1964. You could get an option with left and right or you could get right only.
@@Chrysler300Club Ramblers were the first with head rests as I recall, they had reclining seats. Then the Chrysler New Yorker Salon for 1963, a mid-year trim option had as standard headrests and a reclining passenger seat. In '64, Chrysler bucket seats, Imperial "aircraft style" buckets, and Salon models offered headrests in combination with the reclining seat. Also in '64 came the T-bird head rest built into the upper seatback. I have read that the reclining seat option came with that modified seatback with headrest. So I guess the headrest is all about the reclining seat :) I had a '63 Salon, it came to mind that it had that combo.
