uhh dude this game for me was the BEST SURIVAL GAME EVER! i remember the demo was one hour long I spent it dying over and over , made my thatch house.. lol and had to buy immedierly this game was amazing!!! I stopped playing maybe about 1 year ago. Im married with 3 kids and I dont have the time anymore. The feeling of adrenaline this game gave me I have never experienced. I miss my Ark days.. I remember even spending well over a year playing RPG servers.. so much fun . I also loved primitive servers!! I hope you enjoy this gem.. PS I played this game since it came out on xbx.. So many new things since then.
The first Pegomastax stole the thatch from your inventory (that's what they do) because you knocked it unconscious the other one stole your wood.. lol notice it's holding a little bag as it runs off, so if it's running toward you it's about to rob you if it's running away then you've probably been robbed.. I hate the damn things. There's also a pelican looking bird called Ichthyornis which will steel your food and eat it.. 🤬🤣 Edit: Hud icons bottom right read as follows from top to bottom Experience bar shows you how close you are to levelling up the more it fills, looks like an arrow pointing up. Weight shows how close you are to being over encumbered looks like a block with a handle on top. Water shows how hydrated you are, your health will start to take damage when it is empty, looks like a raindrop. Hunger looks like a caveman steak. Stamina shows how much energy you have, will drain as you move, work and attack, when empty you cannot run and using certain items like the pick or hatchet and attacking will raise your Torpor level. Also, when swimming if you run out of stamina you will likely drown, Looks like a lightning bolt. Health is the bottom icon. The new icon that showed up at the end of the video flashing white was your torpor level (poison) because you ate the black narco berries, they're mainly used raw or in recipes to keep dinos unconscious while taming.. lol It's a great game but also very unforgiving it has the ability to totally ruin your day IMO.. but I still love it

Ark tips: up your weight. Those supply crates are great. The different colors require you to be specific levels to collect them. Harvest kills to get meat and cook it for your food. Sleeping bags are a one time death spawn. Some Dino’s are passive tames some you have to knock out with tranq arrows/darts/etc.
Most people I watch play this for the first time are horrible at it. They don't read any descriptions at all, and get mad when they don't know what to do.
Great to see you check out this game vanilla, on the Island map. Please ignore anyone who suggests you ramp all of the taming and gathering settings up to max to nerf it and make it a cake walk - it's an awesome though often punishing PvE experience (though you may want to tweak the rates just a leetle else you'll find yourself waiting for dinos to tame for hours, literally, not so great for content)
Pro tips- - Adjust your FoV. - Turn off Bloom. - Turn off Light shafts (if desired). - The Icons in the top right of the Engrams menu, are the different maps/DLCs that you can sort thru, *_IF you have it DL'd_* (Note, there is no need to have every secondary content DL'd if not being used). - Keybind for Inv.= Tab (accomplished). Caution- Note whether you're removing an existing (useful/important) Keybind for Re-mapping. - Default keybind for Crafting Tab = V (iirc). - Inventory key shortcuts are power user stuff. Such as, T, Shift+T, Cntrl+T, O (Letter O) when hovering over items. AND, you can hold them down for Turbo. edit:- Default H (I think) shows the values of your User Interface items. You should definitely keep uploading. You haven't even scratched the surface... and then there's *_MODDED SERVERS!_* 😎🤙

I played Ark starting day one of its release and have played so many iterations I have lost count. I know Ascending without a Mega Clan is a daunting task to say the least. To play Ark in its entirety would take a couple of years.

I used to enjoy the game back then Scorched Earth launched, but every time a new DLC launched the performance got worse and worse. Did it ever get fixed, or more stable now? Edit 3:55 I don't remember that intro. Maybe I should try it again now that it's been almost 3Y
I remember playing Ark many years ago when it was in early access, I had a lot of fun despite its weird mechanics and loads of bugs, but then in 2017 Conan Exiles came out in early access... I never again looked back on Ark, maybe some day I will try Ark a bit again, but there are so many things I hate about it so then again, I might not, thanks for being a scared little noob, always fun to watch people go blind into a game :D
The dumbest thing a developer does. Let's give them some character customization. They'll be stupid enough to like it, though, they'll never really see it in the game play. This is why I don't play a lot of first person games. Especially newer survival games. I actually want to see the character I create, not just the hands and weapons.

I've gotten so used to survival games that have negative effects for cold, hot, rain, disease that this game feels a little weak
