  • Here I go again with my Compact Tractor Snow Removal Setup. Check out this video so you can see why you need a tractor cab for snow removal. If you're buying a tractor this video will help you see why you should buy a tractor with a cab. There are a few things in life that are a sure thing; death, taxes and snow. The later is what I'm up against all winter long here in Central Ontario Canada. With my Kioti DK40se HST I'm not too concerned however as the cab really makes the "chore" an easy one. Today I'm out cleaning up around the place with my MK Martin Meteor 72" single-auger snowblower attached to the 3-point hitch of my tractor. I tell ya, if you find a way to get a tractor with a cab, you'll be thanking yourself on days like today. Wind is starting to pickup and the snow from the snowblower shoot is beginning to hit the cab windows. Imagine if the windows weren't there, that snow would be pelting me in the face. No thanks! Time to brew up my favourite coffee, turn up the tunes and pump the heat in my tractor. Sounds like a nice evening to me. Back to work! Thanks for checking out my Compact Tractor Snow Removal Setup.

      I don't mind the fresh winter air but not while trying to clear snow in 20km winds haha

    Spending time in the tractor, "working" I hear you on the cab, no other way will do. Love it every chance I get. From Sask.

      Hey Fred, hope all is well out in the flatlands (Sask). Winter is nearly over here so the good thing about the cab will be that it protects me from the blackflies which will take the place of the snow for the next few weeks once the snow goes. Thanks for watching!

      It sometimes looks like work but let’s be honest, it’s a good time getting out in the equipment

    Hey there buddy how are ya? I’m thinking if you didn’t get out there and do the clearing, you would get snowed in. You’ve got a cool rig there so handy! I’m gonna look at getting a tractor when I move up to the woods for sure! Hey a good one and thanks for being us along for the ride.

      I’m doing good thanks. Yeah it’s a nice rig for sure. Certainly nicer than my old pickup truck. My friends laugh that the tractor is nicer than my daily driver truck haha. Sure are handy rigs having a tractor around. I use it for everything from snowblowing to portable scaffolding haha

      From what I’ve seen on UA-cam the roads are salted up there so cars and trucks rot away before they are worn out. Makes life expensive. I’m hoping where I retire they don’t salt the roads!! When it comes time to get a tractor I will look for one like you have.

    Hey Sandy,
    Nice setup you got there bro. I just used my box blade to clear snow for the first time on my CK25 hst, so much better than using the loader! Sure do enjoy your videos!👍🏻✌🏻️

      The ck25 is a nice tractor. I’ve not used my box blade much for snow. Do you push in reverse with it or drive forward and Pull the snow?

      @alanross3435 4 роки тому

      Sawing with Sandy, I did both but pushing works better!✌🏻️

    Hey Sandy, did you ever consider an inverted blower? I have a property similar to yours and I'm considering pull behind so I don't have to look back the entire stretch of laneway which in my case is close to 1km. My thinking is that I'll be able to stay on top of it before it gets too deep and be able to look and drive forward while blowing.

    • @sawingwithsandy
      @sawingwithsandy  4 роки тому

      I’ve seen those blowers and they do look like they’d work well. Main reason I went with the rear facing blower is because I can remove the snow right up to the edge of places like my shop and other buildings without having to use my bucket. I was also a bit concerned about driving over the deep snow and whether I’d lose traction when pulling a snowblower. In your case a km long driveway sure would be a pain in the neck (literally) so I can see a forward facing blower being the way to go in that case

    Enjoyable, as I sit in my housenext to the fireplace. Who is the person operating the camera besides you?

      Always nice to few the heat from the fireplace. Are you from Texas or just a Texas fan? My better half is doing the filming from time to time. I tried convincing my dog to do the filming but he said no 😄
