- Three former GOP senators have launched an initiative called "Our Republican Legacy" that is pushing back against the MAGA movement. Former congressman Charlie Dent, who is advising the group, joins CNN to discuss.

I agree with the "meddling... mind blowing" statement. But it also seems to show that it was probably a mistake to "save" him in his position as Speaker of the House! Sadly, it was pretty much a no-win situation though. Without an official Speaker, there would be even more chaos and zero chance of getting budgets approved this coming fall.

I used to be a Republican. Joined for my first election. I became dismayed seeing the party heading in this direction. Left them, becoming an Independant, decades ago. Actually the process was started back in the 1970s by the John Birch Society. I went to a meeting then, where they said that the way to take over the government was to start getting their people into every office possible.
