This trail is by far the most beautiful one you’ve taken us on so far
Kelly you are so lucky to be able to do these hikes ,enjoy every moment watching you.
I believe that sound you heard during the night was an alarm call from an elk. Love you videos, Kelly!❤
The sound was definitely an elk. I've heard them many times in the mountains of Utah.
So happy for your adventure on the CDT. Love the scenery and your interactions with the locals. Thank you for perseverance and the beauty of your videos.
Great job!
I always wished there was a sound effect on farout when you switched to the next section of map like unlocking a new level in super mario or something..
Congratulations on unlocking more adventures🎉
They def need to add this!
Yes! 👍 Maybe even a quick cut scene!
@@RickINFJ i love it!!! Maybe a cut scene to a highlight of the section like the highest summit or waterfall or unique landmark or wildlife..
I don't comment often but just wanted to say I am watching every one of your videos of the CDT! Followed your ACT hike videos a few years ago. Love the nature, scenery & unique locations and towns. Great job vlogging it for us all to enjoy, I really appreciate it as I can't get out as much as I'd like to with a toddler at home. And of course, great job on the hike so far!
Thanks for your great videos! I'm from Arkansas too and have hiked in the Ozarks and Ouachitas for many years. What you're doing brings more attention to the importance of preserving these great wild places. Good luck on the rest of your journey!
THANK YOU Arkansas FAM!!
Realizing your distance traveled; when you mentioned reaching Idaho. Seeing the ice on the ground; took me to: How does a traveler survive this during a blizzard / winter conditions. This hike is showing me what endurance would be *best / essential,* in-order to complete this CDT trail. {I recall crossing over the 10,000 (approx.) mark, in a struggling, (felt like), vehicle, several times, cannot imagine on foot}.
That critter was too cute! He was a chunky boy! The trees are so beautiful on the trail! Doesn't seem like you've been on the trail for 32 days! It probably feels like 62 for you and your friends! Lake is gorgeous! Thanks for sharing Kelly Hays!
Congratulations on 500 miles. Those lakes were so beautiful 🤩
Seeing the deer in the opening scene paired with the title of this video made me worried at first. Then the marmot was filmed and it was another "oh no!" minute.
At each of those lakes I was like "Man, I'd love to be out there in a canoe just chillin"
Most of the lakes in Montana have never had a canoe or boat in them....crazy!
You all look like you are having so much fun. The "so ugly he is cute" critter reminded me of the 1980s movie "Caddyshack". When the little groundhog kept doing his funny groundhog dance lol. Stay safe.
Another epic journey hiking thank you for filming and sharing.
Enjoying the content Sistuh, be safe and many prayers,…
Love from FLA, D&D
Welp. Now my wife wants to section hike the CDT. I gotta start with the stair master...
I am really enjoying your videos of this hike.
i'm really enjoying this CDT trail the scenery is beautiful, thank you so much for carrying the extra weight so we can come along with you, i also loved the trips around florida, keep safe, look after yourself
Small correction. It's "Warren Lake" (not Wisdom). Warren Lake is generally considered the prettiest of all the Pintler lakes.
That sound reminded me of a buck or elk? There's a ton of active wildfires right now, you're definitely seeing some smoke. It's rough on the lungs and sinuses. That was white quartz you saw. 😊 The Mio summit snow cones were fire! 🔥 Take care Kelly 🌲🏕🌲
Glad to see you're chipping away at the trail. Love he updates.
Really cool video. I can’t believe y’all are crushing these 25-30 mile days on such a hard hike. So inspiring! Watching on the treadmill as it storms in Florida 😆
The reason for western Florida's talcum powder, not hot sand is from the quartz crystal of the Georgia Applachians. The crystal washes out to the Gulf of Mexico and washed up onto Florida beaches from storms. Then the crystal grinds the sand into talcum powder style. 😊
What happened to the surprise visitor they were supposed to have? Did I miss it?
I'm soooooo proud of you 9lives❤
Stunning, and stunningly beautiful, mountain and lake vistas. I'd love to be there. But I don't know how in the world you guys hike miles like that, especially at those altitudes! Ya'll are a ton tougher than me, and I just need to accept it.
Your pace at altitude and with the elevation changes is very impressive. Especially considering you have a sore ankle.
That strange sound was a really young sasquatch, he was just being curious don't worry.
big fan of your videos i just ended watching the florida trail, cheers from argentina.
Looks like it’s going good!
Amazing scenic views and y'all just amazing!👍🤙
That sound in the middle of the night was definitely a sasquatch. I thought cream cheese needs to be refrigerated. 500 miles? Congratulations!
I'm curious about the cream cheese also lol
I pack a lot of things that “should be refrigerated” ya just do the ole smell, look taste test and pray ya ain’t digging cat holes the rest of the day lol
@@kellyhays23 lol most legit non BS answer ever 🤣 😂 love it!
@kellyhays23 "...digging catholes all day." LOL. Yeah, refrigeration hasn't been around that long, and our ancestors made it.
Howdy Kelly! You are so beautiful! Love your quote after describing the days trail…”there’s that” …and it sounded real hard! Be safe n saddle up!
You do more miles on a rolled ankle than I could only dream of on two good ankles.Sounds like an elk.Awesome videos!
The might be aroura tomorrow night that you might see in MT.
Great video Kelly Hayes your the best🙏💔🙏🎊💯👍💐🕊️
... Beautiful scenery ... Kelly ,, I don't think that pads going to float ,,lol,,, cooling down to take a break on .... Alpine lakes are awesome ... Stay Safe ..
That feeling of changing maps 🥳
Kelly, I heard you say you were doing 27 miles on that day. Just wondering what is the approximate miles per day that you are doing on this hike?
Averaging around 28 right now
@@kellyhays23 and if you hike at a speed of 3 miles an hour you are hiking for about 9 hours, and I am sure that fluctuates with terrain. Stamina!
❤ hello Kelly, I’m glad you’re my friend your videos. Keep me going.
Where did you play college basketball at? Big women’s college basketball fan here, from Iowa. Favorite team is a small northwest Iowa NAIA team.
University of central Arkansas. Career ended early due to knee injury:(
Wow 500 miles!!!🎉 keep goin 💪
Awesome views !!!
You are covering some of the most remarkably wonderful scenery worthy of any wilderness artist’s effort. I call these vista’s calendar scenery ✅scenery found othe pages f calendars.
Trail sno cones. Nice.
Maine
THANK UOU!
Listened to that sound on your previous videos credits....very far away but pretty scary and cool!!
Be safe Monday- Thursday this coming week. It’s supposed to be the hottest week of the year for most of the U.S. Grab you a zero or two. 💪
Marmots are the best!
The deer are waiting for you guys to go pee so they can lick the salty treat 😂
If you take short cuts of the trail, is it still valid?
Valid??? There are no rules to this. I’m walking a continuous footpath from Canada to Mexico
@@kellyhays23 So if you go via new York. I remember you on the AT saying you have to go back and do a certain sections otherwise it wasn't valid.
@@zaftra AT I wanted to hike every step of the redline and was a purist
You know HP in Spanish is the same as SOB? I hope your fellow hiker knows that 😃. Great videos by the way. Been following since you were doing all your Florida hikes. 👍👍
That was me YETIFOOTEDFREDDO.
The noise sounds like elk
I hope that when you say we did 12 miles and have 16 or whatever to go that this is a personal goal because if its some one elses idea than its not good. If you are doing it that way because you need to be bsck at work or some other place than its not worth it. I would like to do the apalackian trail before o get too old but i am no going to let a job or some other life event distracción me from the trail nor will i walk at other peoples pace. The reason i say this is because it seems that you walk very fast and have al these mileage you need to do by a certain time. I hope you are doing these at your own pace
This comment is confusing. Of course these are the mile I want to be doing otherwise I wouldn’t be doing them.
@@kellyhays23 sorry about my bad spelling , utube wants to turn some words into spanish words.what i meant to say is that i hope you do your mileage and not other peoples.,and that i hope you are not looking to finish fast because of other things.
Your daily mileage is so impressive
Went back to the last video sounds you were hearing sounded like coyotes. Great video today. Stay safe! 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼
Another great clip , like deer when velvet still on their horns, hey comment TEAM can we get a tip from every state, Im tipping from MISSISSIPPI
THANK U!!!!
@maxrun934 hello 👋 from Poland 🇵🇱 and my rural life channe😊
The Views !!!!
Kiniseology tape may be helpful to wrap your ankles while they heal up 🤷🏽♀️😉
Yes I been doing that
How do you protect yourself from the diseases mosquitoes carry?
Prayers
I mean, you are in Sasquatch territory, and I’ve heard stories of hikers on the calendar in them in that general area
at least you know there is no bears close by if the deer are around
the sound of an elk barking
500 miles🎉🎇🎉🎊💪
😍
That sound was an elk
Hi . Wow cool deer be careful ankle sux I did in my crucible had to finish I didn't wanted to go through that shit again
That sounded like an elk.
👍 I thought so too
I new sombody wood git wat iz iz it.
Elk?
Oh that looking good ❤woow
... Looking a little tired this AM ... Are you sleeping OK ?? Hate to hear about ankle problems ,, kind of takes a mental toll on the beauty of surroundings ... You are right , at 10,000 ft. , the air is thin and with the smoke travelling over from all the west coast fires ,, it's really hard to breathe ... I have seen many Marmots over the years , but I think that one is the coolest most impressive one ever ,, had his climbing gloves on ..
Don't eat yellow snow.
That snow you had was Barney the dinosaur snow.
The weird sound was a Elk
Did you put the strange sound in I didn't hear it?
In credits
@kellyhays23 ok thank you
It’s one thing to see the burn areas from a helicopter on tv, another to see you walk through them. They are huge! So sad.
30 days of hiking you guys gonna have Ronnie Coleman legs
😂
You heard UFO's :)
Porcupines make really weird noises and sounds
Catch a fish
Listen!!! Your camo hoodies are SAVAGE!!!!!!! FIRE YO!!!! can you please let me know where I can buy a savage hoodie like you!!!!!
Farpointe Outdoor gear
I feel bad for you. Take care of yourself babe and stay safe.
2nd comment. woohoo! lol
So exciting.loving every minute of you.shamim ✌💔🎎🧜♀️🧝🤝🤲👫👥
To many commercials. Almost 10 min in and on my 3rd add.
@@brandonkeen3810 sorry! I just turn them on and UA-cam places them where they are
I don't see the point when the hikers just crush miles and don't enjoy the views and nature. Isn't that what it is supposed to be outside enjoying nature and clearing your mind..
Who said I’m not enjoying views and nature? I’ve been jumping in lakes, taking alllll this video, taking breaks at lookouts. It is possible to crush miles and enjoy nature.
@kellyhays23 I'm sorry not you..I meant some of the other hikers I watch.its refreshing that you are enjoying the views.
