I went many years without canning, and now that I'm back into it, I've noticed that if I go a WEEK without canning something, I feel lost. No exaggeration. My husband used to laugh about it, but now that he's eating up some of that food from the panty shelf, not so much. Even though it's a lot of work, it's so worth it. And it feels so good to be in the kitchen preserving food for my family. I know just how you feel. I'm gonna have to make this, maybe even this week.
Girl!!!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 That turned out GORGEOUS! I now need to try making mine in a crockpot. 😂 And, I have to get some chipotle powder!!!!!!! I bought a steam canner before our tragedy with plans on using it and it’s still sitting in the box. I even made a playlist for it. I will have to work up the emotional courage to use it. But i love the Constance tweaks you made in this recipe. Lori is a genius! Amazing job! I gotta share this video now. 😁❤️💋
Thank you! ❤ Oh you need to try the steam canner! Especially with the issues with your hands and everything. It is so lightweight and easy to use. I am sure you will love it.
I am excited that you mentioned your steam canner ebook. I purchased a steam canner after seeing you use yours years back and never knew about the ebook. That sauce looks 💣. 😋 Yummy!
Oh Heather did a blueberry apple bbq sauce on chicken a couple of days ago, it looked sooo good. I'm so glad she is back in the kitchen. I ❤ all of your channels. Props to Miss Lori too.
I have this same steam canner that I won from ms lippy’s channel. It never reached the zone it was suppose to for my elevation so I called the company and they said sometimes it will do that and when you do the water test that is in the book mark the spot and that’s where you need to be when steam canning. Thank you for putting your version out for us.
I watched another video of yours where you used your Steam Canner and decided to purchase me one. I LOVE IT! It is so much easier than using the water bath method. This recipe for the BBQ sauce looks very good. I may have to try that. I am also going to make me a canning mat! I usually just use a folded dish towel, but I would like to have a mat that is specifically used to sit my canned products on to cool down. Thanks for sharing and I can’t wait to see what you do with the kitchen renovation! ❤
This bbq sauce looks amazing! I’m also subscribed to the channels you mentioned I love them both! You can see and hear the joy in your voice that you are canning again☺️I have the same steam canner and I really like it. Thank you Constance for all you do❤
This looks amazing! We just harvested our apples and I have a ton of blueberries in the freezer, will be canning this in the next few days! Thank you (and Whipporwill Hollar and Kneady Homesteader) for the recipe!
Omgosh!! I just watched Miss Lori make that BBQ sauce too! Thank you, this looks so delicious- I like your additions. I like sweet & spicy Sweet Baby Rays.
This recipe looks and sounds delicious, I love blueberries so that grabbed my attention right away. Saved it to my recipes folder for future making, thank you for sharing it!
This looks fabulous!! I love how thick it turned out and the color is gorgeous. I think I might have to try this one! Thanks so much for sharing your take on the recipe. The joy on your face when you said it was good to be back in the kitchen canning was so beautiful!! I've had a steam canner for 20 years and have never used it...think I need to get your ebook so I can build my confidence and put it to good use.
Hmm, think I may need to get a steam canner for my little kitchen. I, too, love those 2 channels and watch them often, writing out recipes, so will copy yours down and fet to work❣️
Oh that looks good!!!! I will have to make it! I’m wondering if that noise was Ms Bean playing in the background! My antenna is always front and center on the lookout to see her! Lol! Good to see ya!! God bless y’all!
Oh my Constance this looks amazing. I wonder if you used peaches in place of the apples how this sauce would turn out? Can't wait to see your kitchen Reno. You are incredible sweetheart. Have a wonderful weekend 🤗💓💕💞
The one that I had on while canning came from Buc-ees in Texas. The shirt I had on at the end of the video when I tested the seals, can be found here: cosmocornbread.myspreadshop.com/
There are muscadines growing wild all over the woods, but I haven't found enough to do anything with. I plan on cultivating some cuttings and starting a new arbor in the spring. We had a Muscadine and Scuppernong arbor at our Alabama homestead before we moved.
Yes this is a high acid recipe. The steam canner I used here is not a steam pressure canner. It is only for high acid foods that can be processed in a hot water bath canner. :)
@@CosmopolitanCornbread I used a raw organic one. I added a jar of apple sauce and blueberry jam and am cooking it down. It's thickening up and starting to come together 🙌🏻
Oh, that looks delicious. I enjoy watching Miss Lori and Heather too.

Oh that looks good!!!! I will have to make it! I’m wondering if that noise was Ms Bean playing in the background! My antenna is always front and center on the lookout to see her! Lol! Good to see ya!! God bless y’all!
It was either her or the dogs, LOL

I believe Miss Lori mentioned making this with peaches!
@@CosmopolitanCornbread haven't seen the video. But it just sounds like any fruit would be amazing.

@@CosmopolitanCornbread .... i was asking about the EXTREMIST Romans 12:2 shirt!! Wow it’s one of yours!! I absolutely love it. Thank you♥️🙏🏻♥️
I don’t can…looks wonderful! Is there a way we can make it, without canning it????
You could freeze it if you have the freezer space.
I'm so glad I found your channel. I'm in Alma not far from you.
Not far at all :)
Do you have Muscadines on your homestead?

2 questions: it has alot of cab.so can I waterbath it? N why does everyone removed the bay leaf? Thx
Supposed to be acv not cab..apple cider vinegar.
Yes this is a high acid recipe. The steam canner I used here is not a steam pressure canner. It is only for high acid foods that can be processed in a hot water bath canner. :)
You don't want to eat the bay leaf you only use it for seasoning and flavor.
Just double checking, 7 cups ACV? I have it in my crock pot right now and it seems awfully vinegary 😬
Yes. 7 cups, but I use the natural version like Bragg's or other brands.
