Hey guys, couple things you may have noticed - firstly Net Spend stats are in euros as they were taken from Transfermarkt but in hindsight should have converted to £s for comparison. Secondly, when i say a team is 15th in terms of net spend, i mean that the team ranked 1st made the most profit in the window and the team ranked 20th made the biggest loss. So 15th is essentially the 6th "worst" in an imaginary league table ordered in terms of net spend. Hope that helps!
The best thing every year about a new premier league season is a 100% Spencer's Prem prediction video and his transfer rating video. Love it and will always stay tuned. Keep up the great work lad
I’m a Chelsea fan and you got it spot on West Ham had the best window, JWP for £30 mil could be signing of the season for the premier league for that price
I’d argue Spurs the better transfer window. As you mentioned they lost their best player probably ever at 30 year old with 1 year left in his contract for 100M but the entire square got overhauled to look much better. West Ham did less signings with more money, albeit was effective spending but Tottenham had a greater magnitude from selling and signings.
@@ohhhhsanticazorlanot really other than the centre backs because there’s still bentancur who was quality last season who will come back from injury and there’s good depth up top too now
I think you're spot on tbh Spen. West Ham have smashed it. Spent that Rice money wisely and have definitely improved the overall team. As a Liverpool fan i think we've had a great window, but could have probably done with Andre over Endo (although i do still have quite high hopes that Endo will be a great little buy), and a defender to make it a perfect window and nick the top spot off of you boys.
Nah, sorry, I may be biased as a Brighton fan, but I think we've 'won' this transfer window. Yes, we've lost Mac Allister and Caicedo, but we've also made a huge profit and done some great deals! We've mugged Chelsea off for nearly £150mil (Caicedo and Sanchez), kept the likes of Ferguson and Mitoma, brought in Milner who's a very good player with a lot of experience who should help boss our midfield, brought in some more incredibly promising youngsters like Verbruggen, Joao Pedro and Noel Atom...... ....and we brought in Ansu Fati on loan form Barcelona! That's HUGE!!! The fact that we're able to pay £160k a week towards his wages shows how far Brighton have come as a club too! He's a massive signing for us, and it's sent shockwaves through the footballing world. If he hits the ground running and starts scoring, there's no limit to what we could do this season! Just imagine Brighton with a 20-30 goal a season striker.....or 2 if Ferguson keeps his great start going? We'd be lethal!
Think an F is abit harsh for everton the players you mentioned leaving were all under performers or injury prone. Iwobi had about 10 good games in 3 years. Mina played about 10 games a season, maupay was terrible for them and gbamin played less than 400 minutes in his entire everton career. You are right that they need to invest more into the squad in other areas. I also think brighton may struggle abit once europe starts let some quality players leave but they can find gems anywhere
also as an evertonian, yes our squad don't look as good, but a big reason why we are so low on the table is because against fulham maupay shoots blanks and against wolves danjuma is clearly dogshit upfront alone
@@yungtrashlord i think everton have steps to look better, beto coming in means no more relying on Calvert-Lewin to be fit. The outgoings have been smart, injury prone or under performers 20+mil for iwobi with 1 year left of his contract is great business Maupay has been awful there. I think they needed a CB tarkowski and branthwaite can work and he can learn from him but keane is awful and i dont think godfrey suits a central position even at norwich he was mainly sat in front of a back 4. They also needed some more creativity but harrison and mcneil can both play behind the striker i think they have some decent options and the players that have gone i dont think they will miss

As a Spurs fan I'd put us 1st the way we look so far. West Ham have done a great job, but I think the fact that we've improved the squad after losing Kane is crazy. Some needed departures, and top top signings especially Madders, Vicario and Van der Ven. Also bringing in Postecoglu, he looks like an absolute hidden gem of a manager. I'm loving it rn!
City fan here, West Ham have had an incredible window. I really like Ward Prowse he has had a flying start and at 30m its a steal. Alvarez looks decent as well and considering the amount of money you got for Rice, he hasn't exactly transformed Arsenal... at least as of yet. And as good as rice is he doesn't have the set piece ability that Prowse does, which is massive for your style of play. Kudus is a bit of a wild card but adds a bit of speed and flair to change it up.
Westham can actually be a team that could win a trophy this season or make it to top 4. The only problem is that most confidence is lost mid way through the season. Maybe im wrong
Poor/lazy from Spencer for wolves. Joao M, Raul, Adama, Collins, Coady, Giles all weren’t playing. Nunes was very poor last year. Neves the only one who we’d miss and we kept him 4 years longer than we arguably should have. We made about £160mil all while getting some good young players in. Especially given there amazing start to the season and hats off to klopp for managing them to get 10 out of 12 point with a complete new midfield
How did you give Liverpool a A but city B?They have improved there depth around the squad and they have bought different profiles to the ones they already have in the squad. There starting 11 may have not drastically improved but there depth in Midfield and defense as improved immensely.LIverpool needed more then Midfielders. What happens if VVD or Konate get injured?(there both injury prone). They also have no competent backups for Trent and Robertson.Liverpool needed to do more
I wouldn't consider VVD Injury prone, outside of his ACL he's only has 1 major injury playing for Liverpool and he was out for a month with a done hamstring, also tsimikas exists for Robertson?
You said it yourself Spen... the toon are operating within FFP and we havent broke it - we literally couldnt have spent anymore money! If we had have broke FFP to get that 'one extra' player would that therefore have taken us to an A, or would that be deemed negatively? Couldnt have done anymore IMO. Building for the future and enjoying the process
I think people are overlooking Forest's window by comparing it to their last summer window. Difference is last summer they were signing championship players whereas now they are signing players from champions league level clubs (arsenal, man utd, chelsea, sevilla, ac milan, psv). For their standards I think they've had a 10/10 window.
As an Everton fan, I'm usually pessimistic but I think you have been exceptionally harsh here. Results so far don't represent dominant performances. Beto, Danjuma and Harrison are what I would call an overhaul to the attack. The downside is we have lost 3 CBs only replaced with Branthwaite back from loan. Once a few players come back from injury, I think we will pick up enough points to comfortably stay up. Really hope that doesn't come back to bite me on the arse 😂
Spen, giving Everton an F is an absolute farce. They greatly improved their attack and the whole squad while keeping the spend low. I think you completely misjudged this one. A in my book.
Great vlog Spencer, being a west ham fan I agree with ya, it was sad letting rice go, but we knew he wasn't going to be with us forever and I think the players we have bring in have been quality so far. COYI ⚽️⚒
Love your content Spen and your insight on the prem. Totally agree with your takes especially with Chelsea. Too many transfers and overpaid for a lot of them.
As a Spurs fan I think incomings - A, outgoings - F. Losing Kane really hurts and failing to move on aging/deadwood squad players (Dier, Lloris, Lo Celso, Ben Davies, Hojberg, Reguilon, Rodon, Ndombele) on permanent deals will hurt us in the long run
For me west ham could have done a lot more, given that they ended the window in profit. Yes they are doing well now but I think we all know that it won't last. Had they spent more and got En-Nesiri for example it could be a different story.
As West ham fan, I agree with most of what you have said sbout us, but we needed a striker, ings isn't doing it, antonio is getting leggy... There our only strikers... I get bowen can do the role, he's better on the left and we needed more depth in that area. I also think we needed a full back, RB potentially
honestly torn between westham and tottenham for best window... im a chelsea fan and its hard to say it but they both got players they needed and look terrifying atm. people underestimated both clubs this season but its still only the start
Spence that’s a very lazy report on Everton. Gbamin played like 2 games in his entire Everton career and Maupay (who scored 1 goal…) was replaced with Beto and Chermiti. Bringing in Harrison and Danjuma only helps!
An F is nuts for Everton - they've literally signed 4 attacking players. You mention DCL's injury woes, but that's why they brought in Beto - he's DCL's profile and Chermiti comes in as a future prospect. Don't get me wrong I don't think this is a stellar window by any stretch of the imagination but it's by no means an F
Every youngster villa bought included a buy back. So on that archer one the is a buy back and the are rumours it’s mandatory buy back if Sheffield United get relegated. Also villa made a good few youngster signings. An A is good
I would've put Chelsea at an F grade. Not only because they overspent on players that don't immediately make them better. Bit because they've set a bad precedent for future transfer windows. Clubs know that Chelsea aren't good negotiators and will pay anything to get what they want. So they'll just hold on to whatever price tag they have cause they know Chelsea will end up paying it out of desperation like Enzo, Mudrick and Caicedo.
Once again having to come on here to help you understand the forest Transfer window. 😂 Wasn't a big overhall so please do some research. This window helped with strengthening our depth something which was a big problem as well as adding 1 or 2 big players to the first 11. Also considering the amount of injuries we had last season having strength in numbers is needed. Wish fans would stop going on about how many players we sign as it all makes perfect sense when you do a bit of research.
You missed Bellegarde for Wolves. Brought in as our Nunes replacement from Strasbourg and statistically one of the best progressive midfielders in Europe last season. Very harsh to give us an F when we have done very good business. All the players that left bar Neves were deadwood.
im alone at work and its 5:46am in Australia, but i literally said out loud lets goooo!. Love a Spen doggy dog upload. Dont go changin and dont forget to hashtag it!
I think our window (west ham) can only be a B. We've been crying out for some young pacey fullbacks for years, needed to ship out ings and bring in another striker. If all the rumors that were gloating around on the final few days happened then it would have been A* but overall a B
I would say Liverpool had a better window then West Ham. They lost the Lavia and Caicedo deals to Chelsea but saved up massively. They spent only approx 150 mill for 4 midfielders to complete the revamp who are younger than the ones who left. If Liverpool would ha e gotten an extr defendee, that would be the one to top it up
I cannot believe how harsh people are on Chelsea. Yes the money is comical by Boehly but they are just out the other side of a very harsh period of time in the unwilling sale of the club. I’m quietly excited to see what a very good coach with youngsters can do with the best young squad in the world
Everyone laughed at Liverpool for losing out on two players to Chelsea… however they’ve taunted Chelsea to overspend meanwhile Liverpool have spent tiny amounts on incredible midfielders who are gonna impact their team. Think they’ve easily had the best window.
I think Brighton and West Ham are very close but i think id edge West Ham just because of how regular its becoming of Brighton to charge hundreds of millions for players admitadly its still phonomenal just West Ham win it because of how they have managed to rebuild a wonderful midfield with the selling of 1-2 players also keeping a couple mil spare.
Could’ve guessed before starting it would be an A for Arsenal and D for Chelsea😴 Gone again for Arsenal after getting them wrong in January is brave! Top of the league, given an A for their transfer window, finished 2nd. Odd.
I'm embarrassed that I commented on another video saying West hams business was poor and theyd finish bottom half 😂 Spen did say moysey signings were coming and 1 week later they pull out all these transfers 😅. Fair bloody play hammers
An F for Everton is massively unfair. We've managed to bring in major depth up front, replace our regular starters who have left (Iwobi and Mina), as well as offload a ton of deadwood. All that whilst only, officially, spending £3m for Danjuma's loan fee, is incredible business.
Can't fault you for backing your team but can't agree, I'd give West Ham a B. For me they needed another attacker aswell for depth and coverage to make it an A. Sadly I'd say City has done the best buisness with Arsenal as close second. For me it's the Havertz deal that fails Arsenal, if we'd spent that money on a player not from Chelsea with all that baggage it could potentially be so much better. The jury isn't out yet on Havertz though, still early days but for me it looks like bad piece of buisness. Imagine if that was Eze or Olise in an Arsenal shirt instead! Havertz is such a risk really and could be a real poison chalice, but so far I'm not willing to write him off totally. Arteta and Edu has earned that much atleast.
How on earth do Liverpool get an A? 😂 They bought two AM, that offer very similar profile wise, at least in their preferred position. They bought a 31 year old DM that isn't fit to start for Luton. They bought a CM for double Bayern payed a year ago, after barely playing a minute last season, and now have Gravenbergh, Elliot and Jones who all play similar roles. They bought no cover at RB for Trent, they bought no cover at CB for VVD/Konate, with the drop off to Matip and Gomez being huge. Robertson doesn't fit in this new system as a 3rd CB either. Not to mention, losing likes of One, Keity, Firminho etc and getting no money for them. Then, losing two leaders in dressing room and not spending that money. I think this window was shocking by Liverpool, at very best a D, and that's probably being generous tbh.
aint no way my man Spenser has put Chelsea at a D and Liverpool at an A. They haven't spent the 110m they had on the table for caicedo on the DM,RB and CB they need for this team. I don't think there is a single LFC fan that think they've had a good window according to the football terrace and other fan channels
@@SpencerFC yea I guess but I feel if they get caicedo they become title challengers so its worth the money, and even with Chelsea paying the money in the long run I think it'll be worth (as much as 115m can be) as I see him being one of the best DM's for the next decade for us and he could of been that for Liverpool
I'm a liverpool fan and all our fans are pretty happy with the players we've bought. We could've done with one more, but it's a good window. Szoboszlai is amazing, mac allister is a great signing, gravenberch is a big upgrade to the squad, and I think endo will be a solid squad player
Agreed with a lot of what you said but how on earth have Liverpool had a better window then Man City??? They faffed about trying to get a 6, initially going for Lavia, missing out to chelsea, and then revealing they have 100m+ in a late bid for Caicedo which inevitably didn't work out as he'd already chosen chelsea, and at the end of all that they settle for Endo who could be decent but is no way a replacement for Fabinho. oh and they don't sign any defenders or back-up for trent so they're about 2 injuries away from having a disaster. also spent a good 40m for Gravenberch on deadline day, a player who is best as a number 8, a position where they don't exactly need reinforcement with Mac Allister, Jones, Thiago, Szobozslai. City on the other hand replace Gundogan with both Kovavcic AND Nunes, also meaning Rodri has some decent backup. Mahrez gets replaced with Doku which, if you know anything about Doku, is an excellent signing. Laporte leaves in favour of the younger and more flexible Gvardiol for a big fee yes but at just 21 he already looks a complete player. Also even as someone who liked Palmer, 50m from Chelsea is deal you simply don't turn down for a player as completely unproven as he is.
West Ham is no A💀 “we are in the top 4 right now”, that’s irrelevant 😂 West Ham is a B, they have a huge hole up top in striker. Antonio isn’t good enough

West Ham should've been a A- without getting a proper striker but all the other ones are spot on IMO.
People are giving loads of hate to liverpools transfer window. They could have had a better one but it was still a good window for them
For me west ham could have done a lot more, given that they ended the window in profit.
Hard to argue against West Ham having the best window. Lost their best player, made a profit, AND improved the starting 11.
honestly torn between westham and tottenham for best window... im a chelsea fan and its hard to say it but they both got players they needed and look terrifying atm. people underestimated both clubs this season but its still only the start
Missed one of Burnley’s best signings, Mike Tresor. Seems like the perfect player to boost Burnley’s goal output
Amazing vid Spen, your communication skills are so so good.
i really enjoyed how you mentioned profits i didn't think about it thank you for your time making this video
great video spen
Spence that’s a very lazy report on Everton. Gbamin played like 2 games in his entire Everton career and Maupay (who scored 1 goal…) was replaced with Beto and Chermiti. Bringing in Harrison and Danjuma only helps!
Great video!
I also think West Ham are an A* coming from a West Ham fan
Kudus will be the best signing for West-Ham. An absolute beast for Ajax.
If Wolves are an F then Everton should be there too. Both teams equally as weak and haven’t strengthen led anywhere near enough
As a Tottenham fan, I think West Ham has done better bussines then us. We are still lacking at the back, and we don't have a good striker
Everyone loves Bassey spendog. Gonna be one of best cbs in the league. Heard it here first
Didn’t mention palaces highest transfer in? Franca! There’s your Zaha Replacement
Gotta predict the champions league now
You missed Bellegarde for Wolves. Brought in as our Nunes replacement from Strasbourg and statistically one of the best progressive midfielders in Europe last season. Very harsh to give us an F when we have done very good business. All the players that left bar Neves were deadwood.
best part of the video was calling Forest a premier league rival to chelsea :'D
West ham apart from city have had the best window but liverpools done the business thats got them back in the title picture
im alone at work and its 5:46am in Australia, but i literally said out loud lets goooo!. Love a Spen doggy dog upload. Dont go changin and dont forget to hashtag it!
I think spurs selling Sanchez and loaning ndombele now puts them slightly ahead of West Ham I’d say
Sat through all that for him to give it to West Ham give over this man owns a team and that’s his ball knowledge 😂
Arsenal had an unbelievable window except havertz. I think he could looked at as one of our worst ever signings. 325k a week too. Not impressed
We got to get a diffreint 8 to replace that fraud
Honestly he it's still early days and he could turn it around but you could see it from a mile away that it was a very risky transfer
Fam west ham still don't have a consistent 9 and Antonio is going to be injured for at least a quarter of the season, who does west ham get an A?
You did promise more content on here after the hummels thing is over and u r delivering )
200m Chelsea net spend what you on about, I tracked every incoming and outgoing and ive got our net spend at £102m
All that whilst only, officially, spending £3m for Danjuma's loan fee, is incredible business.
major depth 1 striker
@twismjj Beto, Chermiti, an Danjuma can all play up front lad.
@@swagmanmark2906 Danjuma isn’t a striker, Chermiti is 19 and hardly proven so if that’s depth 👍🏾
As an Arsenal fan, I would've given it to West Ham aswell.
Havertz’s redemption arc is loading…
How on earth do Liverpool get an A? 😂
They bought two AM, that offer very similar profile wise, at least in their preferred position.
As a Liverpool fan I'm happy with are business apart from we need a defender but if you said we would be unbeaten after 4 games I would take it
aint no way my man Spenser has put Chelsea at a D and Liverpool at an A. They haven't spent the 110m they had on the table for caicedo on the DM,RB and CB they need for this team. I don't think there is a single LFC fan that think they've had a good window according to the football terrace and other fan channels
Them not paying 100m for Caicedo is a good thing, not that they did it on purpose.
I know this is a premier league video but the real winner is AC Milan
That shirt is kinda neat
“Chelsea fans come at me” class 😂
For me the team who made the best transfer window was Bournemouth
Why’s the net spend in Euros but the transfers are in Pounds sterling??? Seems odd to me
West Ham is no A💀 “we are in the top 4 right now”, that’s irrelevant 😂 West Ham is a B, they have a huge hole up top in striker. Antonio isn’t good enough
