@@znatrix it looks amazing, and I am determined of replicating the shuttle outside of KSP. Though no matter the time and effort I put into it, it’ll never match yours.
I don't know how intentional this is or not but since KSP is such a teeny tiny game the parts are so small compared to what a real life mission would have. But you managed to shoot this in a way where it kind of like makes everything seem a lot larger, or it's I guess like how the kerbals themselves would film it??? Either way, this is amazing.
Thanks! The rockets themselves aren't very small, however the planets are. I zoom in with the camera to create a better depth which makes the environment seem bigger than it is.
This is amazing, probably one of my favorite videos you've made. I've been experimenting with cinematics and camera tools for a while now but I never got it to look as good as this. One thing I'd like to know: how did you do those IVA shots, specifically the camera movement? Did you do that with your mouse? Did you use any tools to make it look that smooth? Very specific question, I know, but I would really like to know.
For those shots I pressed Alt+C and then I moved my camera to where I wanted it to be, inside of the crew capsule. I moved the camera with CameraTools and setting the camera speed to around 0,3.
I'd love for KSP 2 to have some sort of advanced launch system, like for instance, a space elevator. We already know that big interplanetary and interstellar ships have to be built in orbit in KSP 2, so why not make space elevators a thing? I imagine that they'd be a sort of gigaproject that is not only extremely expensive to build, but also requires you to go out to the far stretches of the kerbol system to obtain various rare minerals in order to actually build it (like, perhaps you'd need some sort of rare crystal from the surface of Eve that can only form there, because Eve is the only place in the Kerbol system to have the necessary surface pressure), but significantly reduces construction costs on ships to make it worth the investment. And on that matter, terraforming. Same idea, very resource intensive and extremely costly to build, but massively improves your colony's performance by making it so your Kerbals don't have to wear space suits all the time.
There is one new form of gravity besides centrifugal forces and linear forces, it is one that could explain gravity in sci-fi shows as for it is using pressure, I have already sent this to nasa, this is something that will revolutionize space travel.
NASA already know about linear forces. The problem with linear forces is that you need an engine burning opposite to where you want gravity to be. This means you have to burn half way there, turn the ship around, and burn to slow down. This takes a LOT of fuel. Instead, it would be easier for long missions to perform your burn and have gravity in one direction, then stop the burn and start spinning the ship (this would imply the ship is a cylinder or ring) and move all the interior objects onto the walls via modular clamps or velcro straps. Then, when near the target, everyone moves the inside stuff back on to the walls, and start burning.
Thanks for watching!

Thanks for making!
Sry I'm 2w late but can you make like a simple but really visually good video?
Also great Video
@@staticsfs6823 like my sounding rocket launch?
this is some of the most criminally underrated content i've ever seen, absolutely cannot wait for more
Goodness... This is probably the most underrated guy I've ever seen. Your content is beautiful! I enjoyed every second of this!
did they spend an entire year flying back home in the micro space shuttle? looks awesome btw!
Cheers! I think more like around 3 months in deep space, still pretty cramped and uncomfortable lol
nah it's a shuttle. at least they came back in style!

all of your videos are spectacularly good, but this is... definitely my new favorite
Znatrix deserves to be the most subscribed cinematic maker in the KSP fan base
how realistic do you wanna go with it?
znatrix-yes
This is almost the best RSSRO mars landing video I ever seen. Especially the music.
Thanks! (It is stock Duna btw 😅)
very interesting mission architecture - I wonder if it could work in real life - great work here ! 😎
Nice…..I love your version of callisto shuttle
Came for the shuttle mod, blown away by the cinematography.
Man, the quality you have is astounding
I know how much time these vids can take keep up the great work
You are way too nice!! Thanks
Your content keeps getting better and better. Its unmatched by anything other on yt
Good job with SFX, man!
Imagine this guy do a cinematic like this in ksp2..it's gonna be cool, can't wait 👍👍
How don't you have more subscribers? Awesome quality content...
Oh!! Transition at 17:56 well done!!!
Pure quality........Thankyou !
Awsome video as always!
You should recreate the mars direct ships from the documentary movie ‘The Case for Mars’. You could have a field day with that! ;)
Ok I’m not even exaggerating, I’m in love 😍
Men, thats beautifull
thank you for this amazing content
You should make a video on mission to Planet X (assuming it was really discovered and knew exactly where it was)
Awesome work

The mars lander crew section looks suspiciously like a Gemini space capsule.
I would’ve opted for direct ascent, but that’s probably just the Kerbal in me.
good cinematic
very cool shuttle
Great cinematic! You could use the name "Movie"!

I enjoy this, is this some kind of fictional program that NASA did instead of Orion? Also is it connected to the previous episodes?
400th like. Epic and swesome content.
Thanks!
anyone know the name of the mod that has those extendible rcs pods?
Those are stock, you can find them on my steam workshop

amazing video as always!!!
Little question: is the flare seen during engine burns and during reentry a mod?
Thank you, I appreciate it! Nope, the sunflare was added in post.
The shuttle looks really nice! It's a shame that you don't remember what mod(s) it used
I actually do, it is KNES and ReStock+.
I know theres a mod list in the description but whitch one in particular added the parts for that shuttle?
I'm pretty sure it's KNES. (Sorry for the late reply BTW)
@@znatrix thats perfectly fine, imma make a RP1 config for it
Why do the poor kerbonauts spend the whole journey home in that little thing???
Lol I forgot to give them a better return vehicle
I gotta ask one question: when (and if XD) KSP2 comes out, would you try to continue what you're doing in the sequel?
It all depends on a ton of things; how much spare time I'll have, if KSP 2 has any camera tools and if I still play KSP.
@@znatrix hope you will, because so far you're doing great!

what mod adds the engine sounds, they sound so good :0
I add them myself in post-production. Sadly I don't think there's a mod that makes the engines sound that good...
@@znatrix damn, well you do an incredible job, it sounds amazing :)
please send a link to the mod pack.

Which mod(s?) add the microshuttle parts? And how do you get so sharp shadows? (When i move the camera bit farther from the vessel they become blocky)
The mod for the microshuttle is KNES and I get sharp shadows from (I think) moving the camera even further away and zooming in more.
I know the modlist is in the discription but where can I find the chute you used to land at Mars(duna)? I couldn’t find it in the mods.
Nice video!!!
The chute is from ReStock, it’s the stock chute but retextured. I’m glad you liked the video!
I dont get it. Why they used that big ass ship when they did return trip in the shuttle? You ran out of fuel?
Yup, I ran out of fuel. I should've added a few more tanks to fuel the return trip in hindsight for added realism.
@@znatrix or use cheats. For cinematic purposes it doesnt matter.

I did! It's called KSC Extended and Tundra Space Center.
