They are two Dutch country music Eurovision stars who have given the Netherlands impressive results in recent years. Now Ilse DeLange and Douwe Bob have taken things in a different direction. The pair teamed up in Nashville in 2017 and gave a moving performance of Johnny Cash’s “Hurt” in a women’s prison. Along with Ilse’s band, the duo performed the Johnny Cash version of “Hurt” to an audience of female inmates at the Metro-Davidson County Detention Facility in Nashville, Tennessee. FYI (1): In 2017 singer Ilse DeLange weekly received a well-known Dutch artist on her veranda in Nashville, USA. Nashville is the birthplace of country music and together they discover more about this music and the country. FYI (2): On 7 December 2017 it was revealed that DeLange would have a recurring role in the final season of the ABC/CMT musical-drama series Nashville. In the sixth season of the series, DeLange plays the part of coach 'Ilse DeWitt' quite similar to her job as coach in 'The Voice' franchise. She takes part in a total of six episodes. During the show, DeLange got the opportunity to perform her song "Love Goes On", which also got added to the seasons music album. The episodes were broadcast in 2018.
