Thanks for watching! A lot of work went into getting this information together and making this video. So if it helps you please consider doing me a favor and leave a comment and thumbs up on the video!
i’ve just started up photography about a month ago and you’ve already played a huge role in the helpful information i’ve been able to get. very much appreciated
Hey Evan, I just wanted to mention, I just tried Pedro and tested out the new Squarespace 7.1 version of Pedro and a TON of the cool features of the original v7.0 Pedro have stopped working completely. This could just be a glitch on my end but reverting back to v7.0 from v7.1 fixed the issues. Just wanted to point this out, as once a user switches to v7.1, it's permanent and they will never be able to use the version of Pedro featured in your video. Thanks!

Evan, you are by the far the most helpful photographer when it comes to building the business and marketing aspects of the creative world! I was curious, given the daily posts model, if you use any post scheduling tools/automations. If so, which would you recommend and why (free versus paid, and nice to have versus must have features). I'd also be curious to see how you review analytics to know if a post is getting the expected results/traction, or if its less than expected how to understand what might be the misstep. I would liken this to a watch time graph to see when and why people are clicking off a video. As always, fantastic content and keep being a kickass resource!
You’re very welcome! Like I said at the beginning I love making videos that would have helped me when I started. I had no real business mentors or with anyone around to teach me so I take a lot of pride in being able to do that now for others
How do you create a preset to sell ? Do you have a video on that ? Is it a good business, I think video presets are better nowadays as everybody wants to post short form content on social media
Kinda bummed. Your very first words were; “I wasn't sure if I wanted to make this video I don't know if I should be giving all this information away for free.” Why so negative? Although you took the audience through the process of making a website, what you said in the beginning makes you seem stingy. And you are coming off like you are something seriously special where you harness all this great knowledge and you are wanting to keep it all to yourself. That’s how it made me feel. Don’t we have enough super millionaires on the planet who so delight in all their money and have zero plans on helping anyone? UGG!
It's called good copy. Its a part of marketing to create interest and desire to watch the rest of the video. Think of it like a hook or headline/subhead in a magazine article/ad
@@duncaboboui Yes I understand this. I use to work in journalism for many years. Written more lead lines than I could ever remember. I know how much work Evan put into this video and it is much appreciated. But I still do stand by my first Initial reaction as it was an honest one. I cannot help how it made me feel. It felt (used car salesman stingy.) But. With all this said. I am seeing there is a HUGE generational difference. I’m taking a guess here, but I bet there is at least a 30 year age difference. What I learned in journalism, marketing and business school, way back when, is I am sure quite different now.
He obviously did it to get your attention...which it did. But also, so what if he was hesitant to just give away for free a 45 minute video with good information that he had to learn himself, probably after quite a few trial and errors of getting other strategies wrong?
I really enjoy your down to earth videos like this, the no BS, just here's how to do it stuff. I am not going to directly copy your website, but take some ideas from yours to help me create mine. Not understanding the options, or how to make some of the features work, is a barrier to folks not building out their site. Thank you!
I've went through your previo0su website portfolio building video. Amazing information & thank you so much for sharing all this valuable information & process to help us grow. Been a silent follower closely to your beginning days, congratulations for how far you've come bro! Much further to go 💯 I had a question which is what I've been looking answers to since your last website video, how do you get to view the full website perfectly like yours for mobile platform because all my images gets cropped in & ruins the view. Thank you in advance 🙏🏽

Been Following you for years and I just cleared my first 15k month in revenue from photography. Keep killin it man.
That’s HUGE! Congrats 🍾 keep at it!
Did you do this locally or did you have to travel?

Wow, is that from prints/digital sales?
If you don't mind me asking.

So basically you described how to become a photographer with a website.
I mean the entire video is just content to promote his squarespace affiliate link, but you're right, very basic stuff.
This just feels like a whole video paid by squarespace not a video sponsored by squarespace.
So make a website and try your best to sell everything…
pretty much
Yeah this is just a video pushing squarespace so he can keep getting paid by them. Fair play to him but this video was of no use to anyone
Why a 40 minute video? you can easily pack it down to like 10 or 15 minutes.

Just starting out and found your videos to be so incredibly insightful and inspirational! Much appreciated brother!
Nice to see a full step by step all in one video, thanks!

Is not instagram that’s makes the money. This is more like a tutorial to create a website
do you have another video on how to grow followers for a very small account (under 100) in 2024?
Well, over 6k followers now, including myself 👍
I could use 100 bucks a day. 😌
Same...
yeah...this video is a gold mine!!!

He figured this out. You didn't. He graciously shared it... And you liken him to a money-grubbing millionaire.
Garbage attitude.
It’s a hook bro 😂 You gotta learn marketing
First
real MVP!
So make an account and push ads on people?
Click bait.
This guy 🙌... THANK YOUUUU. You are such an awesome help in this creative business mf grind.
Dude, I don’t comment on many videos, but this was so incredibly value packed! Thank you! Longtime fan. Appreciate all the awesome content!
Thanks for sharing!
Maaaan, thank you so much. I'm going to implement this asap. I'll let you know how it goes
You’re welcome! If you build the system (which is the time consuming part) it’s easy to run passively in the background
