I've been wanting to do something in marine biology for a while, and recently I've settled on aquarist. I love finding videos like these because not only are they educational for others but they help me prepare and know what to expect in the future! I am so looking forward to this type of work
I used to watch Jonathan's videos to seek comfort when I was young. He made me want to study more about the ocean and marine life. Sadly I didn't take the route when I went to college, but I never miss an opportunity to study them on my own
I really wouldn't mind cleaning everything. To me it's like meditation, and knowing it's making a healthier environment for the animals would make it even better.
I have been wanting to be a marine biologist for about 6 years now. I became a certified SDI Scuba Diver and I have been diving several miles off the coast! This is a fun career. I am just letting you guys know that.

I really wanna study marine biology and possibly zoology as well. My dream job would be to become an aquarist. After watching this video I know that I would love this job.

I have to tell you, Jonathan... I really envy you (in a good way) when at the beginning of the video you welcome us to your "World". I like that. Your Blue World is almost three times as big as ours, here on dry land. It is stunningly magnificent. Full of life that couldn't be more diverse at every nook and cranny one looks at than it is already. Thanks for this much sharper version. Keep it up.

Hey Jonathan this is my favorite video that you have put out! I have watched countless of times! You have kept my dream alive of working marine animals! now I am a penguin intern at this exact Aquarium! yes you do whole lot of cleaning.
Hahaha, your videos should be played on Discovery Channel. You've got an awesome sense of humour, and I actually pay attention to your commentary. I'm watching all your videos now, dude. Subscribed!
+DeathGaming134 Yeah, UA-cam's new 60p capability looks absolutely awesome!!! So we are taking advantage of it and going back and putting up some of our more popular back episodes in 60p. We are releasing all our new season 5 episodes in 1080/60p! Talk about stunning....it's actually better than broadcast quality. Who could have seen that coming 5 years ago?
sharks won attack. only if threten. sharks wont eat humans. with the exeption of Great whites. they are big predators. most sharks will stay away from humans. but it is still very important to respect wild life specialy predator land or sea
Thank you for this HD version! It was really nice to see the aquarium life from the inside, as well as what some of the employees have to deal with in addition to being able to dive with the fish in the GOT. I subscribed when I found some of your other videos about Lemon Sharks and also one where the Sand Tiger Shark was one of the highlights of the episode. Ever since I watched an episode of the BBC series Quite Interesting where the British comedian Bill Bailey guessed wrongly about a Sand Tiger Shark being a Nurse Shark, I have wanted to discover how to spot the difference between Lemon Sharks and Sand Tiger Sharks. It sort of reminded me of when my father and I took a tourist diving class in Malindi, Kenya back in 1985 (I was 17 then), when I got to stroke a Moray Eel under its chin and throat. It was very friendly and docile, although I had a strange feeling knowing that my German diving instructor once lost half of his thumb to a different Moray Eel, earlier in his career (he told us it was because he hadn't respected that moray eel well enough, so it mistook his finger for bait). I am hoping to find a way to arrange some kind of tropical dive event for my 50th birthday in 2 years. My dilemma is what I would like to experience the most if I get to arrange it then, how to pick a specific place and species to look for as a highlight of that occasion. Any suggestions are welcome, both species and places. I am a little bit slow in my reaction speed, so I would probably enjoy the most to dive in shallow waters to make the air tanks last as long as possible. By the way, I live near Oslo, Norway. Our cold waters (even in summer) tend to be less exciting as well as more demanding in terms of physical effort and air usage.
+BlueWorldTV Thanks, that is a good point. That is often what I have heard about from friends in the past. I will check out its current status of safety, locations and available services. Sharm El Sheikh is the most referred tourist diving site from what I recall. I also recall that Sharm El Sheikh had some difficulties during the recession and the Iraq war period. I need to brush up on my information from that region.
i dove there in 2004 ..I understand its the oldest..I really enjoyed the 25 cent tour of facility..I was surprised they pump their watet directly from boston harbor..The coolest part was swimming inside of the fibrtglass reef structure..Inside we found turtles amd eels..What a great time
