The Interceptor is starting to show its age, both at speed and looks. The Goldstar simply looks beautiful, butch and has a sophisticated yet simple charm! What blowed my mind is the performance of that Rotax sourced engine, being a 650 single, one can literally hear and see how smooth it is for such a big single cylinder. If only the Goldy had one gear extra, it'd eat everything for breakfast. In short, this Goldstar deserves lots of love from the Indian market. Brilliant bike!

Finally I am happy that I bought GoldStar 650 . I known it has its own downside but the Torquey engine and Brembo bakes really stands out . The most important part is upright seat position and overall balance throughout the bike . Very easy to handle in traffic as well

BSA might have single cylinder but not to forget that is a real successful engine from Rotax, also being used in BMW Funduro. This engine was known to have excellent power delivery throughout its rev band
I loved golstar's performance coz of its low and middle range performance...it is also good in top end and RE won it after wasting more time against BSA....for Indian roads BSA would be more handy than Inti
I dont care who wins as both brands are indian 😅. If you want top end and twin cylinder sound, plus there's many mods available for RE, performace mods (hell there's even big bore kits available for RE to make it 865cc) and visual one's both by domestic and international brands, if you want to mod, get the RE. If you want a cruiser style torquey motorcycle with good low end get the BSA. Ultimately its your choice, idk about ground clearance of both, but im assuming re has more, since bsa is a cruiser. From my exp many think this is an imp point when getting a bike, also I've heard bsa service centers might not be as spread out as re has, or that good in terms of providing service, so research well before getting both. I own a interceptor myself, so If anyone is planning to buy one, I have a advice for them, get the model with alloys, it'll save you from a headache. Ps if bsa service becomes decent in the upcoming days, i can picture myself owning one too, then I'll have both lol😊
Both are cruisers..... They are meant to cruise and not to race.... When cruising with twin cylinder engine engine, the sound you get from it wipes away everything... It's a bliss... A personal experience i got after owning it... My next bike will definitely be atlest a twin cylinder or more... Usually more the number of cylinders, the low end power will get reduced compared to respective single.... Imagine riding both bikes on a scenic route and definitely interceptor gives more satisfaction....
I would go with goldstar just because new technology and we don't ride in high speed. We cruise around 120 max . Any suggestions And I ride a jawa 42 2020 model. I have ridden all segment bikes also, but I ride with my spouse so think goldstar a better option Please advice

It has been 5 years that Jawa had launched, but still I didn't get confidence about that engine, although Jawa has better features than RE 350 (except RE450). I didn't saw anybody who had ridden any Jawa/Yezdi over 50k kms without problems. Still I will prefer R15/MT15 over other engines.
BSA engine is a liquid cooled which is often more powerful, if the interceptor parallel twin transitions into liquid cooled like how triumph did, power will surely gonna jump to around 65-70 bhp, single cylinders have a better torques coz of there long stroke piston, means better pickup…bsa is a great bike but so is interceptor

Why can't people watch drag races for fun? I think we should appreciate that we have two good options at this price point. They are different from each other but they are both incredible motorcycles. RE have shaken up the motorcycle market even if all of their bikes aren't perfect. Otherwise motorcycle manufacturers were getting very complacent.

The Interceptor has custom exhaust, giving it an advantage throughout, and it still barely managed to outrun the BSA past 175 kmph. In the second race, the BSA proved to be a much better handler when it took the turn at high speed while the interceptor was busy "wobbling". Re-do the race with stock exhaust on the interceptor, and in better weather conditions for a fair result.
0-130 kmph is actually important in real world conditions.

In practical terms no one is going to ride always in top speed
Low speed acceleration and stability is more practical feature
0-120 kmph acceleration is important in real world conditions.
The drag race should have 2024 interceptor to compete with the new BSA. And absolute stock. Then the competition would be fair for both.
