- This band has blown me away. I only first Sleep Token a few weeks prior to making this video and I've been obsessed ever since! I wanted to commemorate their new album dropping by coming out with this acoustic cover of DYWTYLM which hit me right in the feels the first time I heard it. I hope you guys enjoy it!

Nice job! Actually, imo…all their albums are contenders for an Album of the year award. Those first two are masterpieces.

@@LukeParodiMusic I as well. I think Summoning was first heard but…Literally beautiful albums, “Sundowning” and “This place will become your tomb” will blow you away. Just so much rnb and jazz mixed in with hard/metal riffs. Actually their slower stuff is just out of this world. Superb!

I didn't think too much about this song until I thought of it as song my inner self was singing to me. I bawled, I didn't need to hurt myself like that but now this song is immensely powerful
Absolutely know how you feel. Once I realized that’s what this song was about, it changed the whole meaning for me and meant so much more.
@@LukeParodiMusic I love how you put more of a sad desperation behind it. Of course, acoustics set a slower pace but I think you did a great job relaying the plea I wanted to hear from this song.

I don't feel like the very start of the song fits well just because Sleep Token uses that weird techno-percussion for the intro. That being said, a critique about the first 10-15 seconds of such an amazing cover is hardly a negative. I need time to decide, but this might even be better than the original in my book

As someone who dabbles in home recording/production, I think this sounds excellent! A daw and effects are just tools to make art. You can go as crazy as you want with it and really polish it up. That's the whole point of recording. Live is a completely different thing! Both have their place, and they don't have to be exactly the same.
@@akmetalhead95 Dude, I might not be an amateur producer like you, but I listen to a lot of music. I can tell when something sounds overedited, even if I can't name the effects used. I get being supportive, but at a certain point it is to the detriment of the artist in the long run. Luke is a damn good vocalist. He just needs some work on his production, and I really don't get why I'm getting so much pushback from the idea, especially after he acknowledged that he is still learning. It's not like I said he was trash or anything.
