I AM LEARNING SOOOOO MUCH! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
BRIIIITTTTT!!!!!!!!
Love the positive energy in the videos. 😀
Thank you! -Lydia
Those ice formations are unbelievable! Combined with the beautiful lighting on the beach, this was a totally gorgeous and intoxicating video!
Thanks so much, Michael! Yeah Iceland is a magical place, pretty much anywhere you look (when the weather is cooperating) is gorgeous!
-Vu
I only ever saw you guys on minecon lives i just randomly found this channel so cool to see you both enjoy photography.
Hahaha that's so cool!
Amazing video again you two beautiful people!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽❤️
You're the best! -Lydia
Thanks James!!! 😘 -Vu
Very cool Lydia, you guys should do more of this. Love on-location ambient watch portraiture 💪🏼
Amazing! Those pics from diamond beach are my favorite that you've ever posted. Stunning location!
Thank you!
Watches and photography, you're combining two of my favourite things ❤
Ours, too! 😉
-Vu
Great tips and cant get enough from you guys awesome spirts thanks for the joy and tips you provides
Thanks! -Vu
Some good tips here! I always have a hard time capturing the location when I'm doing watch photography, I might be in a place with gorgeous scenery, but when filming something as small as a watch it's so hard to capture the location.
Thanks! Yeah it’s quite difficult to do, wider angle lenses can help if they have a close enough focusing distance but it really is a trade off, you want to show the watch but you also want to show the location. What Lydia did in this video is use something iconic to the location to represent the greater space, and that’s one way of going about it. -Vu
Very cool. What a place to visit. Love the 36 OP. I am lucky to own the white dial. 😊👌
The white dial OP is awesome! I really considered that one when it was out. So clean. -Vu
I totally relate to getting stuck placing a subject and not remembering I could move it instead of just moving myself. Great tip and something to remember 👍
Happens to the best of us! 🤣 -Vu
Thanks for the vid! You both are really taking watch content up a notch or two. Please make more!😅
Thanks, we will!
-Vu
Great second video and awesome location!
Cheers
Thanks a lot! -Lydia
Wow, these glacier pieces look so clear and placing the beautiful OP on that, nailed it! 💎😍
So much love for you two. ❤️ Nailed it again.
Thhhank you! And the same back to you! -Lydia
Another fantastic video guys 👏
Thank you 🤗 -Lydia
Love working with ice. Will definitely be including in some shots this week Thanks for the tips !
Oooo I cannot wait to see those shots! -Lydia
Loved the thought process to the Diamond Beach shots. The images came out stunning!
Thank you, Braddy! I can't wait to see some nice ice bad art this week haha! -Lydia
There is no other watch channel like yours and that's amazing! Please keep it up!
Wow thank you so much! We will! 😁
-Vu
Great episode! It is like the Travel Channel but better because it has watches and photography in it. 😉
WOW! We need to put this quote on everything! Thank you! -Lydia
Amazing video once again! Iceland looks amazing, definitely a place I want to visit in the future! Glad to be featured as well :)
Thank you! And you've photo is great. You will love Iceland, you have to visit. -Lydia
I gotta visit that place some day! 😍 Awesome video guys! 💯
You do! It’s just an amazing place. Thanks!

-Vu
Another great video, love what you guys are doing!
Thank you so much! -Vu
Just stumbled on your channel. Great video. Subscribed for many more great videos.
Good luck on your journey ! 🙏
Thank you so much! Also very glad to hear that you just happened across our very new channel. 😁 Welcome!
-Vu
Loved it! What is the aperture you'd tend to use for shooting a watch?
Thanks, Keith! Lydia usually shoots wide open, so it depends on the lens, so between f/1.9 and f/3.5.
-Vu
Amazing episode guys 👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks so much! 🙏🏻
-Vu
Great content guys !
Thank you! 🙏🏻
-Vu
Love the shots on ice.. you guys are doing so great, but yes looking forward to the histogram episode 😀
Thank you so much! Noooo not the histogram! -Lydia
Team Histogram! -Vu
Love seeing the “on location” video. I know exactly what you mean when you say slow down! I definitely get too rushed for no good reason 😆. Keep up the good work gang 🤙🏼
Thanks, Michael! Yeah, it’s something so easy to forget. When I was a professional I was so much better at just taking the time needed, but that was a long time ago and nowadays I forget and just get into this rush mode.
-Vu
Gorgeous video.... my grail is now the OP 36mm (pretty much any colour, but ideally the green or the black)... after owning a few Omega (Speedy 1861 / first gen Aqua Terra black), Seiko Turtle, Casios, Hamilton, and selling it all, I have finally settled on the OP after trying one on. Just so comfy, classic looking, beautiful and timeless... 💚💙🧡
EDIT: I now realise how beautiful the turquoise OP really is... just wow.. it is such a shame that they're basically unobtainable these days
Thank you! Both the green and black are gorgeous OP colors (Vu has the Green and Watch Gringa has the black - and those are two of the coolest people!). Exactly, the comfort, readability, and ease of wearing anywhere makes the OP a perfect watch.
I'm so happy to hear you like the turquoise. I actually didn't think much of it until I saw one in person and then thought the color very special. -Lydia
@@LydiaAndVu thank you so much. This is encouraging and I'll keep waiting for my OP... hopefully for my 40th in a few years time.
Yep I knew about Gringa and her OP. Been watching their videos for about a year now, after The Timeless Watch Channel gave her and Papi a shout out...
I do love the black, but would prefer the green. The new colours are just quite special. Very clever of Rolex.... a nod to the past, and also a way to fight that Californian mod company who modified Rolexes
Anyway thank you for a gorgeous video. You should visit Scotland too... Skye, Oban, Pitlochry, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Ullapool, Glenfinnan
Lots of beauty for your wonderful photography.
@@Valera_Scotland We will keep our fingers crossed that you get it in time for your 40th! I agree about the green... it's such a happy color but still not overly bright. Also, it can look almost black when the lighting is darker.
Thank you for watching our videos! We definitely need to get to Scotland - I've never been and have always wanted to go!
-Lydia
You’ve got it right! The OP is just one of the best watches out there. So versatile, both in use and in style. It works perfectly as an everyday watch that sees no more danger than the edge of a keyboard or splashes in the sink, but it’s also a fully capable adventure watch. Good luck in your search! I know multiple people that have gotten OPs (not the Turquoise) and Explorers with no purchase history. They just had to wait a few months and reach out to a few places. -Vu
@@LydiaAndVu thank you guys for both your lovely replies. Yes you must visit some day. And how did you end up in Sweden? I really thought you were across the pond in the US... I still can't get over the diamond beach and those glorious shots of the OP... you're right, the green is lovely. I only briefly tried it on once... do you find that the green also changes to light green in certain conditions? I can't wait to see it and have the smaller 36mm on my wrist and in daily use ... to work, up the hills, on holidays to the Highlands and Islands....
Any other advice about the green? Is the bracelet okay without the safety clasp? I did want an Explorer for a long time but the OP has won me over for sure....
Ice huh... Hmm ok, my brains churning on a "scene" to shoot. 🤣 Great video and points about moving around. I use my body all the time to block harsh natural light lately too
Thanks! And yeah, it’s usually best to just use what you have on hand!
-Vu
I’ve been to Iceland as well and this beach is amazing indeed. Never seen all these blue, clear and transparant colors of the ice on this contrasting black sand. I made tons of b-rolls on that beach to get one perfect shot eventually 😂
Thank you again for this amazing video! The explanation is great, editing of the vid is great… you’re born for video’s like this!!!
That’s awesome! Sometimes it takes a lot of work to get just one good shot, but it’s usually still worth it! And thank you for the kind words. ☺️
-Vu
watch gringa said sub to this channel and this video looks awesome so I think she did a good call out.
Thank so much! Glad you listened to the Gringa! 😁😁😁
-Vu
Nice one!
Thanks, Andy! -Vu
Wow...really fun stuff. Ok..so you've motivated me to step up my mediocre phone watch shots.
Thanks! Hahaha phone shots can also be awesome! -Vu
I am waiting for the Lydia episode explaining Tiffany blue! 😂😂💙💙💙
It’s gonna be a long one. 😂
-Vu
Guys, this was stunning, those drone shots are 👌🏻 but the beach with the black sand against the glaciers, just wow wow wow. Not enough histograms in this one for me though? #teamhistogram
Thanks so much, man! It was definitely fun getting the drone shots. But really Iceland is just a place where everywhere you look it’s stunningly beautiful. When the weather is decent, at least. 🤣 -Vu
Oh and yes, team histogram!!!! 😁 -Vu
I miss yall
Whisky ice cubes should make great ice burg diamonds. ; )
You two are so lovely, keep going guys!!! :D
Ps: we want the histogram video :P
Thank you! We will! -Lydia
Don’t worry, histograms will be a BIG part of this channel! 🤣 -Vu
Sooooooo, the Minecraft Live guys are cool photographers too?
*NICE* 😁😍
Fantastic episode, guys! Wanna go to Iceland so bad now!! Anyone wanna join? 😁
Thanks, man! Yeah we should get a group together and go! Would be an epic trip.
That reminds me that WAY back in the day I taught some on-location photography workshops. Hahaha never heard of a watch photography one though. 😂
-Vu
@@LydiaAndVu I'm all in :)
Very cool. No pun intended. But did you quit after this ice-cold Iceland trip? I’m not on Instagram. Are you?
#TeamHistogram 😁
I almost clicked the thumbs down button, be careful! -Lydia
The best team! 🤣 -Vu
2 for 2 . 🥳
THANK YOU! -Lydia
I'm calling ice cubes baby glaciers from now on
You are both too cute!!!
Awww thank you! So are you! -Lydia
Hi, I just left a comment complimenting your channel and left a request for a watch tutorial to achieve a certain style of photo. I can't see the comment anymore. Did you delete it?
Hi! Oh no, we didn’t delete it. I don’t know what happened
@@LydiaAndVu Hi Lydia, thanks for replying. In the comment I asked could you look at a certain watch dealer's Instagram and see could you make a tutorial explaining how they take their photos. I don't want to mention the name here Incase i break any rules you may have about advertising businesses. I'm not affiliated with the business either. Let me know if it's ok to post the name here, if not I can DM you the page on Instagram. Love your content too 🙌
@@EyeInTheSkypaulmcmenamin Send it to me on Instagram! That's a really cool idea and one we have been talking about doing. -Lydia
@@LydiaAndVu cool thanks. And sent 👌
First again!
Now - this is impressive, Dennis! -Lydia
