It never ceases to amaze me the sheer amount of content that didn't make the cut for Blade Runner.
I'm shore most people would say Blade Runner run slow enough without added new shoots, But it's a real pleasure seeing any extra footage.
just to spend more time in that amazingly detailed world is a pleasure indeed.
Sean Young's performance in this scene is just spectacular. if you don't feel sympathy for her dilemma you're made of stone. That she has to play such a scene of dawning realization with such restraint is heart breaking.

Despite the editing differences, I really like the choice of Deckard being mildly agitated. It would’ve been all too easy to create a romantic line through here. It keeps the narrative on its toes. And this is just one of thousands of decisions made for this masterpiece.
You made a lot of progress with this cut
More is always better. A longer stay in that world - jam packed with detail, emotion and atmosphere, is always better. Wish Villeneuve understood this.

I hope they get the grading right when this cut comes out on bluray.
All modern releases have that blueish grading and miss that warm gritty look I used to love on the versions I knew. And a dialog level true to the 1982 version would be nice. The latest 4k release is the worst when it comes to sound.

Oh ok, this video made me understand why are u maintaining the voice over. I still not a complete fan of it but at least on this scene it made it better by a bit. Keep the good work! Looking foward for the release!

The version with the voiceover has always annoyed the Hell out of me. I prefer to just watch and let my own commentary play in the privacy of my own head.
yeah, i'm hoping Kazu-San will offer a version of the White Dragon Cut when its released (hopefully in November this year) that Doesn't include the voice over. I didn't mind it when i first saw/heard it back when it was first released all those years ago, but once I'd see it without the narration i enjoyed it even more. Sometimes that Deckard voice fills in little bits of details that aren't visualized (he had a wife? maybe an implanted memory then?)- but otherwise it becomes a little annoying, and over expositional. The tone of his voice didn't quite fit with the ambient melancholy of the overall piece, and apparently was there cos studio execs didn't think audiences would be able to work things out or get into the story without being spoon fed.

Great work as always but I really think that the voice-over just takes away from the atmosphere. Its definitely the weakest part

I never understood Deckard’s hostility towards Rachael in this scene. They are complete strangers in the previous scene when they meet for the first time. Now they’re acting like they’re on the verge of a divorce with a lot of history between them. I like the movie otherwise but the characters sometimes don’t make sense to me.
i think bis hostility is because by this time he knows for certain she's a replicant...and he's begun questioning things about himself... plus he knows somehow he's the one thats going to have to explain to her what she is. all in all I'd say he's very uncomfortable and nervous about how she makes him feel about himself...even more so because he also finds himself attracted to her...and he doesnt believe how anyone could feel that way about a "non-human". i think there's that attraction /revulsion thing going on in his mind. "If I'm attracted to her, what does that say about me?"
