Hello, thank you so much for this, you guided me through! Well done ! Umm listen did you put the self adhesive washers on? I saw them off to the side so did not worry about it. After I installed it I found the manual and see that they went between the board and the block , I do not really want to have to clean and replace the thermal paste, and it was put on with care to make sure alighnment is ok, and I read the comments below, seems I was not the only one. Can you comment more on this? They do seem to add a little height to the block, but then again I went to careful full stop on all screws. I think if anything I went a bit more snug because of it, now I am not certain.. it would seem a better connect without them ...?
I am really sorry I took so long to reply, I have been dealing with family issues that needed my full attention, I hope u understand, and as for ur question, if they are the washers that can be used for securing the motherboard to the tower then no not needed, if they are washers for a cooler then yes I would advise to put those on. Hope I helped and again I apologize bro
So this can be tricky to answer, the washers are to help make contact to the CPU and the block as accurate as possible, I feel as long as you did not really torque the screws too hard that you should be fine, I have done the same thing before and saw zero issues so I feel you are fine
Honestly bro EK has been putting out some ok products which is not cool, now that they feel they are the top they can just release anything and charge alot. I mean the temps with my 5900x are good, I think under load was like 59c but I also undervolt. how bad were yours?

I think I will go with it and see if temps are ok, but I am concerned that maybe they have an insulating purpose..

Does the water cooling work alone or do you also need water cooling for the PC case?
If I understand what you are asking, you will still need a pump, a reservoir, and radiators, this is just for the CPU VRM power delivery etc.

I installed this recently but I'm at the stage of adding fans to the headers and find the block gets in the way of the CPU fan1 header! Any tips?
