@@A1000-b9s I would say that you are both right. More shows back in the 90s had art that was more detailed than we have now. Nowadays most art seems more standardized to fit the general anime aesthetic, but for each genre. Battle Shonen tend to have more simple if more human characters like Naruto and Black Clover which was influenced by Dragon Ball. School and Isekai anime tend to take the Shojo eye aesthetic where all the girls have big eyes, the not hot boys have big eyes, and hot dudes have thin eyes, and some girls also have thin eyes. Yu Yu Hakusho and Hunter x Hunter also take from those designs and combine it with shonen. And more adult action shows take the general look of the shojo shows, make the eyes more reasonable and all of the dudes have more thin eyes. This is such a gross generalization, and I’m probably wrong on a lot of it, but it is what I’ve noticed. But you are right that the source material does determine the art style, and each artist has their own quirks and strengths.
No, you are absolutely wrong. Season one was perfect. This is the way should all anime look like. Focus on well detailed characters and action and the crappy insignificant background give extra focus to the important parts. It seems you do not understand what is truly important in a motion picture.
Bruh. The bad compositing and art direction can let down the Quality of sakuga (episode 8 being the main victim). But if those are good, it can let the Animation shine. The other Elements are as important as The Animation is. Also those extra detail on the fabric definitely made the Animation stiffer (when they obviously need to animate them in a TV schedule). The new Designs (not The flashback arc) looks much better and it's not Really different. Just those ugly extra details that season 1 made them stood out in a bad way is gone. It looks pleasing and they can move and express much more. There's no way you said season 1 was perfect. Although tanaka's episode in season 2 as always will have a lot of details on faces, hair and etc..
Then why watch adaptations when you can read the source material? Because 9/10 times, it’s way better written. It’s because visuals are important to the story so should be treated as important.
if what was mentioned in this video isnt what's important in animation, ur basically invalidating the reason why demon slayer and ufotable shows as a whole stand out as the best visually appealing shows. it's because they arent like u and consider good art direction and compositing and combine it with their good animation to put it a step ahead of other good studios who usually ONLY have good animation
I tell the same thing to everyone who praise jjk but people straight up neglects it. I wonder why this show have bad animation were Hunter x Hunter a weakly animated show has amazing fight scene and art style too. After watching gon vs hisoka yuji and todo vs hanami animation was too cheap and sakuga of running sequence and point of impact was ugly. I am also disappointed with mappa not bringing chainsaw man quality to jujutsu kaisen season 2.
What the hell are you talking about? The problem with JJK is art direction and compositing, not the animation itself. The Gon vs Hisoka really is well animated, but overall, JJK tops HxH in that aspect, it has more consistently good animated fights while HxH still has mostly still fights. And JJK S2 literally looks better than S1 already lmao

The animation lacks fluidity which is a job for in-between for better fps
Not always, yea poor in between can make a scene feel choppy, but also poor key frames, and poor timings dictated by the key animator can lead to a choppy final product.
@@ProbablyPretentious yeah, due to that some sequences or actions are hard to follow it feels like you are using a laggy PC.
I hate the new animation of season 2!! Season 1 was great!
I don't hate it but I think season 1 animation style suits Jujutsu Kaisen better.
S2 was way better.
For example
S2 Ep9 has god tier character movement
S2 Ep13 has god tier compositing and choreography
S2 Ep1-5 are god tier in every single way
You are just a dumbass
bhai india mei kaha sey ho?
JJK season 1 had that 90s animation style. Very detailed 2D, but a little dirty looking.
There's not a thing called 90s style tho. It depends on the source Material and who the Character Designer is And other things as well
@@A1000-b9s There's a clear difference between 90s anime and the anime today. That difference is what I'm talking about.
@@fukun5773 and that is probably cell Animation that you're Talking about. Now it is Digital coloring and compositing. But there's not a certain style
Disagree
Still better than s2
Nahhhh
Not even
S1 was meh
Did you compare it
Just go and watch it
Have you seen yuji's run in hanami fight scene over the tree trunk .
Running animation was in an odd position compared to the background there is so many scene in The fight that are badly animated
Or has this guy said thats the style they chose to animate
