I think in budget category nothing beats the likes of Casio and Timex. Seiko comes close but still expensive than Casio or Timex.

I would put Timex on the same level as Fossil in terms of their quality and target demographic, but not in brand history. For me, Citizen, Seiko, and Casio would take the cake over Timex any day.

I was about to comment this! I love the murph watch, I looked it up and realised Im never buying it.
Considering that it's a well known brand whose watches are in countless Hollywood films, the asking price isn't much compared to screen worn OMEGA Bond watches as an example. I get that it's not a fair comparison. My point is that usually you have to pay a lot for screen worn watches. For Hamilton being $500 and up, that's not a lot of money for owning cinema history
Honestly the pricing isn’t bad for the history you get. Hamilton has quite a bit of movie history and for about 1k being able to own the same model is really not that much. When you think about it, a ton of people get car payments for that much and yet they don’t complain about those

Well I think it’s not mandatory wearing or having expensive watches also if you can buy them. For me a watch is, first of all, the emotions you feel wearing and watching it. For example I love Casio and Gshock because they were my first watches and they remember me of when I was a young boy, feeling an adventurer just because I was wearing it going to sea or playing soccer with friends. It’s all about emotions, the rest is over-compensation. 😂

The Casio A168 is just so nice. Relatively cheap, good look to it, surprisingly durable, and it fit me perfectly right out of the box
I used that exact Casio quartz shown as an example. 10/10 watch honestly, I haven’t touched it in a year and it’s still keeping perfect time, it’s simple and easy to read. My only complaint is that the dial is a bit small
G-shocks and Casios are my favorite watches, they're borderline indestructible, they're easy to read and set, and of course they just look nice with any outfit
I had a watch back in the early 80s when I was a young kid that sang The Yellow Rose of Texas. Loved it.

Not a celebrity, but in my wide ranging collection from Casio to Patek Philippe, my daily go-to is still the Citizen Ecodrive field watch I bought myself for my 30th birthday. Accurate, perfect size at 37mm and has never skipped a beat in all the years I’ve owned and abused it.

if no celebrity were to wear the Jacob watch I am sure it would be worth much less than it is now
so it is the person who wears the watch and gives it the value not the watch itself
watch is just a piece of device that tells you about time but that specific person who wears it gives it the real value

I have a tissot, citizen and a tag heuer but my favorite i have and rarely wear is my 1987 timex atlantic 100 dive watch.
I have 2 of these. Kinda. Timex easy reader Indiglo, Casio MDV Duro.
I remeber when g shocks were first popping off and buying them at the NEX. Now g shocks cost substantially more than the 5 pair I used to have.

For most of these actors, these are only worn for film or tv roles. It’s part of their “regular human being” costume. Their characters can’t afford to wear the watches the actors wear in real life.

Only the true ones know there are other great brands besides the usual Patek, Rolex, AP, and Richard Mille. So many great and underrated brands to choose from. Not to mention Casio 🔥

No joke I’ve been wearing a black version of gosling’s watch for the past year and a half without the knowledge we wore the same one.
Seiko's have always been a working mans watch lot of them engineers and welders would be wearing. One co-worker would actually tack weld his pins in place to keep em from popping out.
