I've had my Smoov for almost 4 years now. The custom mode is where you can set everything the way you want it. You can set the torque, acceleration, speed etc. I only use my own custom profile and have everything at max. I've clocked mine at 12 mph.
And I live in Norway so it's free for us 😊

I test drove a Rehasense PAWS Tourer last year. Lots of fun! It goes up to 32KM/hr plus there’s cruise control and a walk mode.
There’s a cool UA-cam video showing how it tackles winter snow in Scandinavia.
If you think the Smoov goes fast that one and the larger Batechs will blow your mind! 🎉
I use a wheelchair mainly for dysautonomia, having my hands at or above my heart isn’t a good idea on flare days/times. So when I get to needing power assist it will be a SmartDrive. It’s one of two power assist options covered here in Ontario Canada. I like that it’s hardwired now. Too many issues with Bluetooth.
The other is a locally made tiny handbike (basically a Batech knockoff). I found that way too fussy and painful to operate with nerve pain. But some people like it.
Love your energy. Just discovered your channel and subbed. 😊

It should be noted that a lot of these devices can be approved by insurance, so it's definitely worth exploring that route.

Have you tried a Smartdrive, too? That's what I have and love it.
And price is ridiculous. it's so expensive to be crippled. They really don't share that with you after injury (34 years post here).
    Thanks for the video.

No, I haven't tried the smart drive yet. When I had the opportunity, I picked the Smoov because it looked better. When I tried it, I liked it so much I never tried the smart drive. The price things cost can be very expensive, and you are right they do not share that with you at all.

@@hotwheels1112 I use an apple watch now and it rarely cuts out like the Pushtracker does. That's not to say it's not without its flaws, though. Occasionally, it doesn't respond to shutting off on first attempt and sometimes it doesn't match the speed tap.
But to answer your question, the Pushtracker is notorious for cutting out, and mine did as well.

For $7000, that thing should be a complete conversion kit with two 300 watt non swivel motors. A joystick for remote steering control, and be able to take you straight up that hill without your assistance.

    • @LorraineIwakashdan
      @LorraineIwakashdan 8 місяців тому +1

That would be the Alber e-fix. Already exists. This is for people who still want excercise.

      @@LorraineIwakashdan
"That would be the Alber e-fix. Already exists. This is for people who still want excercise."
      Something already existing is irrelevant.
      Competition lowers the price.
People still wanting exercise is irrelevant.
Just because an attachment can take you up the hill, does not mean you have to use the full power of it. It does however, mean that should you need that full power, it is there.
There was at one point a e-conversion kit for around $2400.
You simply swap the back wheels out and mount the joy stick, the controller and the battery.
Currently, there is an electric wheel chair for $1500 listed on Amazon.
I found listed on Amazon, a 6" 300 watt motor for $49, so two is $98.
What I stated about the $7000 price of this product, what you so conveniently chose to ignore, remains valid and is not canceled by your poor attempt to divert the subject off topic and where it properly should be focused. The cost of this product is excessive and it can not do what a lower cost device, or a DIY device built at a lower cost, would be capable of doing.

$7000 dollars??? For 7grand you can buy yourself a complete electric wheelchair or better yet you can just get yourself a car. The device is great but for $7000 dollars, the creator or the person who owns the patent didnt really have the people who can use the help from a device like this in mind. For 7000 they ain't trying to help out at all. That's a damn shame. It probably doesn't even cost half of 7grand to make this thing

Some smart companies have a friend contribution function.
Like springing for lunch or buying a friend a beer. Friends have to know it’s there is all.
Sell your used stuff to would-be mechanics on Craig’s or some other. Waiting around for what’s covered by insurance is old.
A robo vac does more than chairs, it docks itself and vacuums under the bed. Wheelchairs should check to see if you locked the front door, and bring you a beer while you’re up.

I think a big part of your shoulder problems is the way your wheelchair is adjusted, you sit way high (lack of dump) over the wheels and way in front of the axle(center of gravity) it’s way less efficient my brother 👊
Ps I’d trade my shitty smartdrive for a smoov any day!

    • @brin57
      @brin57 Рік тому +4

Because most manual chair users have no desire to have a power chair and all the restrictions that come with it. Add to that, the reduction in fitness by not using a manual. You should only use a power chair if you can't practically use a manual. 46 years post accident and still using a manual all the time.

With a power chair you cannot easily rent a rental van with lift to get a power chair around!
