Watching so many yt vids of people getting their nails done almost pressured me to want mine done, but I love my natural nails! I used to wear acrylic and it made my nails so weak and let's face it...thats another bill! Lol. Nice to see a community of women embracing their natural nails!

I always soak my nails in oil for 30 minutes prior to using polish. Periodically rubbing the oil into the nail bed and gently pushing back my cuticles. Rinse with water then pat dry. Then finish rubbing the rest of the oil into my nails.
I proceed to apply at least 3 layers of Sally Hansen 7 in 1 Complete Care. It's very moisturizing because it has water in the middle of the ingredient list. Then alternate applying multiple layers of nail color and clear polish. Wrap the entire nail with each layer. Seal it all in with the Dollar Tree's quick dry top coats. In total, I'll have maybe 7 or 8 layers. My nails are reinforced and protected the entire week just like acrylic.

I totally get that internal battle. I love the look of long nails on people. When I start to grow mine out and they get just a little bit of free edge I start to get frustrated because they hinder my movement and lifestyle. Then I cut them off completely, and file them short. I'm like "oh, these are so tactile, they feel wonderfully freeing."

You should also apply the polish to the whole of the free edge, ie top and sides. This will help to prevent cracks.

Hiii I wouldn’t recommend using it as a top coat since it’s specifically for growing your nails. You’re naturel nails are so beautiful. When i was younger i always wen’t to the nail salon for gel/acrylic nails. Then years later my childeren where born and i wen’t to naturel nails. Last year i tried gel nails again and also aplying gel polish at home. The bufferfile didn’t do good to my nails. Then i had some press on nails. And when i removed them i saw that my naturel nails are peeling. So i filled them down and use lot’s of nail oils. The gel/acrylic nails looks so but they cost a lot and the damage after words is not worht it. So now i’m growing the peeling part out and then hopefully i’ll get beautiful nails just like your’s 💅💖
